man I gotta say, your camera work is fantastic. You know exactly how to get it to focus and the lighting is surperb too :) oh and lishi skills are great too
@@BoredLockpicker What are you using to do the pin code filler for honda? Picking them are easy for me I am just having one hell of a time decoding them. Tired with instacode but out of the 6 I have done for practice I been unsuccessful. I end up having to pull door lock codes or get them from the dealer.
I use lock codes and insta code. It doesn’t matter which one you use though. If you aren’t entering a valid code into them they aren’t going to work. If you aren’t sure on a space you need to use the plus one feature on either program.
@@BoredLockpicker What is the plus one feature? I actually have not heard of that before. I think my biggest issue on the Honda that I seem to notice is trying to get the pick to stay centered when I am holding it and reading then trying to juggle my phone or note pad to write the depth numbers down. Cause depending on some of them if you hold it more to one side it can give one number or a different. If that make sense. I did get my hands finally on a broken honda ignition cylinder, that I am confident I can fix(the shop had no idea I could fix those so they only called me to program the new keys that came with the new cylinder). So hopefully that will be a good one to practice on at anytime.
I guess it's worth noting that HON66 lock has 6 wafers, wafer #6 is always 1. Also, on factory locks wafer #5 on A side is 5 or 3 and wafer #5 on B side is 5 or 2. Things get way more interesting when lock is not original or worn. If key is worn - decoding (reading with machine) one side of the key will not match decoding of other side, making this game even more interesting. Worst of all, nobody is willing to pay for extra knowledge which is required when dealing with this lock.
glad it was helpful. I've been spending a lot of time making videos for all the lishis I own in english. I have a few for the hon66. here is a playlist of all the lishi videos I have on this channel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NAkQTdmh5RY.html
Hey, I’m new to lock smith I’m located in Richmond ,Va and I love this video , I should be receiving my Lishi set this week , can you help me out ? After I pick a lock and I got my number for A and B side where do I input those numbers ? What program did you use or do I put them directly into my Xhorse cutter ?
to see if you have a valid code you can use insta code or lock codes. the xhorse key machine can progress as well but I never do it with the machine.. I mostly use lockcodesl.com in the field. but I also have insta code
Great video. But I'm having trouble matching the code with the actual code of the key. Bottom row matches just fine but top row is off. Any idea why?any other cars I've done work just fine.
New to this. I'm considering buying this tool because I'm sick of calling AAA when I lock myself out lol. You're obviously experienced and move really fast. Are there any good resources for complete beginners learning to use this tool? Also, I'm wondering why your tool is upside down? I'd think they'd make it so the numbers were right side up, but I'm probably missing something. Thanks!
This is not one of the easier ones to learn on. The lock has to be picked twice then picked back to the home position. As far the tool being upside down…it can be inserted either way just like a key. I’m right handed so it’s easier for me to pick it counter clockwise. If you’re actually going to use it to unlock a vehicle. Hondas unlock clockwise so you would probably insert it the other way to pick it clockwise. I think you’d be better off just getting a couple of what they call service keys cut. They’re just metal keys no chip in them that you can use to unlock it.
@@BoredLockpicker Wow! thanks for the speedy reply. Greatly appreciated. Idk why I didn't just think about getting extra keys made haha. Still a very interesting tool though. Thanks for the tip!
Hello. Good video, but I don't understand a bit, sorry. Can you please tell me how to find the value of unknown pins? What is this program or is there an algorithm? Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for the great video! I'm trying to pick my Honda Fit open with HON66. I started with picking a2&4 on the bottom and a3 on top, then the lock would turn for like 10°. But when I move forward to picking the b sides, it feels like all the b positions are stuck. Not springy but I can't pick it or move it. Have been trying to adjust the tension, but if I put very light tension, nothing on B sides are binding but springy. Any idea what went wrong?
Thanks for the prompt reply! Didn't expect to hear back so soon :) Yes, I tried starting from b sides but nothing binds. And yes, all a2 a3 a4 are picked and springy.
@@BoredLockpicker sorry I just started learning doing all these and can't really read codes from the key bitings. If there's any way I can send u a pic of the key I'd would be happy to do so.
@@smpig decode the key with your key machine. Reason I ask about bitting is if you have 5 or 6 depths they’re very easy to overset. Your problem sounds like you’re oversetting something.
Hi mate I came for bit of advice. I've open hundreds of cars but hon66 came to my hands few days ago. Friend of my has civic . I can do easily turn lock half way and come back to 0 position. While I'm on half way all pins is springs I did everything with tension more wd40 etc. What I'm doing worng in 5his case?
@@BoredLockpicker unfortunately I increased tension even to nearly break a pick 😂 honestly I did everything. I'm auto locksmith never had a problems but this one I can't figure why can't pick anything after half way
Sorry for my ignorance. HON66 is 6 cuts? Last cut is always a 1? I’m having a very hard time deciding a 2012 civic with my xhorse key reader and xhorse dolphin. Ever have issues with hon66??
@@BoredLockpicker the doors were rekeyed. I am too inexperienced to use the lishi. I ended up replacing probe and cutter on my dolphin and start using the universal duplicate option, ill see how that goes
@@BoredLockpicker would it be stuck in the lock until to do this full procedure? I'm predominantly a domestic and commercial properties locksmith. I do some auto entry but have never come across this yet. I'm finding the Va6 quite tricky at the moment,I'm not trying to decode anything as I don't have the gear to make keys, are there any tips on the Va6? I just looked for binding wafers and managed to open my own van once, but since I've not been able to feel my way through it.
@@ryonchero4401 va6 isn’t in the states so I haven’t seen one but picking locks is picking locks. If it moves at all leave it alone. Far as Hon66. If you pick it once the Lishi will come out but a can’t go in. So you have to pick it back. No pressure lol
@@BoredLockpicker I’ve been watching it couple times now. But does It feel different than picking it towards unlocking way? When I’m picking it going back home, I don’t feel any bounce . It’s all more like tightness , is that normal?
@@autopurlieu tension it the opposite way. Look for binding wafers. You have to counter rotate the lock slightly to pick them. You usually only have to pick 2 or so to get it to go back to home
I'm playing with random (unknown model) newer Honda door lock (picked it up in body shop) right now and it made be totally mad. It has code written on it, so I know all the numbers, BUT! First of all, at unknown reason, it's extremely hard to pick either way - everything is counter intuitive, to be short - in most cases only random playing with tumblers and direction of tension (!!!) allows to pick it. Second - after hours of trying, I couldn't pick (turn) it twice. Not sure if it has different design or what. It still possible to read numbers, BUT! If I pick it one way - I can only read one side (say - B, positions 1,2,3,4,5), side A would show totally incorrect readings. If I pick it other way, I can read positions 2,3,4 of side A, but side B would show totally incorrect readings. Never together! I never ever would want to do it in real life, spending hours outside the car and trying to figure it all out. This is definitely stupidest lock, taking in consideration all of its flaws.
That’s wild you can’t pick it twice. I haven’t ran into that issue yet on a Honda lock. I wouldn’t mind taking a crack at it and see if I can pick it all the way over.
@@BoredLockpicker It's ether damaged or different indeed. It's from newer car, not seized or anything, looks clean. Today I was able to pick it second time, but it was done by random playing with tumblers and shaking lishi (!!!). I was able to read correct numbers on both sides, but as soon as I released pressure on lishi, lock returned in first picked position (so it only needed to be picket once to return back home). This is just nuts. Maybe this lock requires slightly different lishi. I don't know.
@@BoredLockpicker It's still something not right with this lock. It often falls in the state when there are no valid tumblers to click, sometimes it even happens from very beginning. Random playing with tumblers and shaking lishi sometimes lets lock to turn a bit, and then all over again - all tumblers are either #1 or jumpy, nothing to click...I did use WD40 but it didn't help.
Hello sir: can you help me please how to do this bescilly im lucksmothe and i have my company in London And for honda i know how pick it and to read number but i can not get the cut can u help me please
lol blaming the tools…. Nice. The issue isn’t with the tool. It’s that Honda has 6 depths. I use this all the time for unlocks. With codefill software decoding usually isn’t to tough. Easy enough in most cases to just to grab a code from a lock after you get the door open
@@BoredLockpicker it gets hung up a lot trying to go between cuts, it's the only lishi that seems to have this issue. It does work, but easier to pull a code once it's open.
I've had quite a bit of success with hon66 here in NZ. But I do find that I'm often unlocking old worn out Hondas so it can be a bit difficult getting that tool moving when the lock is already a bit stuffed. Could air bag and hook the button in half the time but it looks far cooler to the customer if I can pick it in a couple of minutes.
I like your videos but don't like that you use your lishi upside down, which confusing to your viewers which I think they're the majority of your audience!
