Once again I've left my little Narrowboat home, May Moon on the canals of London travel to Oslo, Norway. I'm exploring the nightlife (without any night!), the nature and of course - getting on some boats (!) to experience the Fjord.

Thank you for bringing back such happy memories went to Norway 27 years ago celebrating my late wife’s 40th birthday also my brother has lived in Norway for 40 years or more being a photographer I must make the effort and go again.

I worked in Norway some 30 years ago, in Klemetsrud. Everyone is so friendly. Oslo is a great night out but pricey compared to the UK. I went to a lot of private parties and a lot of guys had their own still for rocket fuel!!! 😁 Looks like you had a good time. They had a huge drug problem at the time.... and I got the rubber glove treatment when I first arrived.

SUCH friendly people - an absolutely fantastic place. Definitely a good night out (and definitely pricey) but London prices aren’t far off atm so I didn’t feel the sting of that so much

Welcome to Scandinavia from Ingemar in Gothenburg some 320 kilometres south of Oslo. Normally a fjord has a cill at the opening keeping the bottom water trapped.

@@Theritualkitchen In Sweden you´ll meet Systembolaget as our version of Vinmonopolet but in Denmark alcohol is sold in the supermarkets, Finland ans Iceland also has state licour-stores.

Absolutely beautiful, I was there about 10 years ago and it’s a really lovely country. Beautiful blue skies and gardens. I found it impossible to find food as vegan, I believe you’re vegan did you find it had got better? Thanks for a lovely vlog. Take care Laura. xxxx

It really is! I didn’t really eat out to be honest! We mostly made picnics - food is quite pricey so even that wasn’t super cheap! There’s definitely less choice for vegans but you can get everything you need!

As a Norwegian who has lived in Finnmark (the very north), I think Oslo gets fairly dark at night during summer. 🤷🏼‍♀️ (I have lived big chunks of my life in Oslo).
