If I grow to be a very old man, one of the games that I will never forget was that Miami game. Purdy comes in, he's Mr. Irrelevant, the last pick in the draft, and the Dolphins do EXACTLY what you are supposed to do when you have a rookie QB playing his first NFL snap: they go cover zero and blitz the hell out of him. Purdy beat it, staring down the gun barrel, with unblocked rushers in his face and makes big completion after big completion. As long as I live, I will never forget that game.
And that's why I count the Miami towards his start win total. Brock hadn't just been riding the bench, he beat out the 2million guaranteed 3rd string guy, and tutored \collaborated with CMC to help get him up to minimal playbook speed. 49ers were driving but they were losing and it was still early in the game. He took a beating, and still played More than well enough to win. Curb stomped the Brady led bucs, and broke a rib in his first full start. I was impressed to say the least. Then he went to Seattle with that broken rib and and whooped them to secure the division. I was all in at that point! I kept thinking to myself, I've seen this before, it's almost like deja vu. And my receipts are floating around out there to prove it.
Brock Purdy is getting better ALL the time🏈John Lynch is a great GM praising him the way he did🙏🏻49er Faithful😃49ERS FOR LIFE!!!!!!!😁"B"ROCK ON!!!!!!!🤘🏻🤙🏻✌🏻
Brock Purdy is our quarterback. The only reason some people don’t believe it, is because of the outside noise. I don’t listen to any of it. I can see with my own eyes the talent, intellect, and the instincts of my Quarterback Brock Purdy. I don’t care what others say, I love him!
Honestly I knew purdy was something. It was after he took over for Jimmy the crowd started chanting his name mid-game as he was playing was pretty dope.
Brock Purdy is one of the best quarterbacks in the league in spite of these crazy naysayers. Nick said he wants to see how Brock responds when he needs to come from behind. And so he did it twice during the playoffs, and he is still a naysayer. My guess is that, because he was chosen last, how can all these recruiters have gotten it so wrong?
Great content Brad love the channel thank you! I'm so ready to see how this team is going to be this year John's comments about Brock are a great thing to hear.
This organization is all about giving praise where it’s due. I love it and so glad Lynch gave grease props! There’s a few people in the media that actually believed in Purdy. I’m not kidding you, I saw Purdy in pre season bring down a 3rd string offense down the field with ease. I knew it then. I knew Trey wasn’t our guy. When he came in the Dolphins game i couldn’t have been more excited!
Purdy great if ya ask me. He's a QB who actually takes a stand with the team. True traits of quality leadership. 🎶Take A Stand! Take A Stand! Take A Stand!🎶
Kap was not our guy, he was a one trick pony, who got figured out after one season, and now is known as one of the biggest disgraces in modern day football.
Yep, looking back, it's nuts that we got a QB like Brock with the last pick - that's fairy tale hail mary stuff. I hope this next season Brock can reach another level in his craft, whatever that might look like. As a long time 49er fan, the last two seasons have been so much fun. Cheering for Brock and the rest of the squad has never felt so dang good. Speaking of the McAfee Show, it's so good to see John Lynch appear on it. He's so articulate for a hard-nosed football guy, and he seems to create positive team culture whatever he's doing, whether interviews or walking the sidelines at the end of games. No doubt players around the leauge will watch the show, and come away with a positive sense of 49er culture.
David Montgomery did the initial culture change at the individual player-level at Iowa State, then Brock really took hold of that stepped it up to another level or two, for the whole program.
I wish I believed him. He more or less made it sound like the only reason Purdy Is starting is because the locker room would revolt otherwise. He doesn't think of Purdy as "hiis guy."
