In this trip report, we take you on the journey flying with Singapore Airlines in Economy Class, departing from Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) on a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner (SQ879) bound for Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).
To kick off our journey, we'll hop on the Airport Express from Taipei Main Station, a quick 39-minute ride from downtown Taipei to Taoyuan. This mode of transportation is the most efficient way to reach the airport. It's worth noting that for select airlines, they also offer in-town check-in, allowing you to drop off your luggage at least 3 hours before your departure.
Departing from Terminal 2, we'll make a stop at EVA Air's The Star Lounge, which is accessible to Star Alliance gold members. I've heard that one of EVA Air's lounges serves the best beef noodle soup, a must-try culinary experience in Taiwan.
Once onboard the flight, we'll introduce you to the exciting cabin features available, such as KrisWorld, Singapore Airline's entertainment system. The content selection is extensive and user-friendly, so be sure to link your KrisFlyer membership number to your booking before your flight for an enhanced experience.
