On my 4.5k iMac, it looks good. I could barely tell any difference with the 720p and 1080p stuff. I might have used a CPL just to get some of the reflections to go away, but nice shots all in all.
Thanks John! I did actually use an ND/CPL, but either the power of the CPL isn’t strong enough (quite a sunny day), or I need to not be so lazy and take a monitor next time lol - probably the latter.
Hot damn. It looks great. I've been playing with hacks again. Most recently I ported Sanity X onto my GH2. I like it a lot, but only Cinema mode (24fpa @1080P) wants to work properly. Did you download Orion from Personal-view? Do you have a link, by chance?
I've got, and still use, on occasion, a GH2 alongside my G9 as a back-up and B-roll camera. The image is very good, although in comparison with the G9, even at 720 for both, the GH2 suffers. Nice camera though, and dirt cheap.
It depends on the individual, their budget, and also what kind of look they want. Hacked GH2 gives a natural-looking image with great colors right out of the camera, no grading needed, and some of the hacks look very filmic. Some people would prefer this over the GH4. Anyhow, this video is about the GH2, not the GH4.
