I don't know if you realize how much good you do with these videos. I was severely abused and I listen to these videos daily. The energy you put out touches the wounded places profoundly, it is the kind of compassion I wish I'd known earlier in my life. It is changing me and helping me learn how to be kinder to myself. And I am compelled to ask: Why not make some ASMR vids that are totally devoted to the connection between men? Certainly, you can make some that are totally devoted to women, too, but having some that focus on just what it means for two men to experience this kind of intimacy like only we can would be most welcome, because it is sorely needed.
Richard Denton I may be speaking out of turn, and I am willing to be corrected, but this is my understanding and I feel like you deserve some kind of answer. Outside of his haircut one I think Tom likes to make his videos for everyone because everybody deserves to be loved and cared for. He wouldn’t want anyone to feel left out. I also don’t see him making a video regarding intimacy specifically for women, because he loves his wife and his intimacy is for her alone. He’s an upstanding guy. Like I said I could be wrong, but this is my understanding after talking to him a time or two.
Naw, then it becomes a sex thing rather than an intimacy thing (intimacy does NOT equal sex). One thing I like about Tom's ASMR vids (most of them anyway) is that it is NOT pointed at either sex, in fact, it leaves the experience open to the listener. I get what you mean, we all crave a level of male intimacy, but Tom being a straight, married guy allows other straight guys to define their own level of intimacy through imagination. Only the individual can define that level of comfort, and that is personal and private. If you want a more intimate male to male experience, try Tyson's vids, he does a great job at that, but then again, he's not Tom and the ASMR artist, or rather our perception of him/her, makes a difference :-) (Which is why I avoid vids or interviews that outline his real life. Knowing more would break the spell and contaminate the imagination, or fantasy, if you like, forever. )
I've only been hugged once by a guy that wasn't my dad or my brother, and that was the kind of hug you've talked about where they lean in and only hug your shoulders. I think that's called a "Business hug" (correct me if I'm wrong) So this felt really good. Love you Tom. :) By the way, I just want to tell you how much things have turned around for me since I first saw your videos... I was so worried about everything bad that was going on in my life... It seems like a lot of those problems have been getting better... I don't think getting relaxed and having a good night's sleep is the only way a person could benefit from these videos, and I'm so glad it goes both ways, so you are positively affected from doing this too.
You're hysterical. I remember when you mentioned your beard against "my" beard. You quickly corrected that...lol...funny enough that there are so many guys on here that like your warmth....me included.
Not sure what it is about you but everything about you is just so comforting. IMO I think it's the fact that you give off a very masculine look with the sweet beard and haircut and yet you're extremely calm and inviting which is an amazing combination that makes us (the audience) feel safe when were "with" you and comforted when you're talking with us. Thank you for providing wonderful content man. Sorry that I'm rambling but I suffer from a lot of social anxiety and these videos really help me deal with those issues I have. I can’t tell you how bad I needed this video . Being stuck in quarantine during this crazy time I haven’t been able to touch anyone much less hug anyone in about two months and that’s very hard on me because I am a hugger . I love the fact that you don’t discriminate against sexual orientations . It’s not about sex but tenderness , sweetness , passion , love . The rubbing of the beard on “my neck , our faces so close , your mouth so close to my ear” , The embracing and tracing fingers down “my” back was all so much needed . I actually felt like putting my head on your shoulder and crying . Such a needed release . And you truly made me feel love during those moments . I just wished it was the length of video one and two together without interruption . Greedy I guess . 😉 Thank you very much for this . I’ve listened to it a couple of times during this horrible time and it has been the first thing to make me feel better . And safe . And like everything will be alright . I don't know how you manage to convey an actual hug through youtube, incredible. I can literally feel your breath on my face. Like many others makes me cry but feels good. So comforting and calm. My silly story - I was scrolling through suggested videos and there was one about a puppy who had been abused. It had a note on the thumbnail about what had happened, and I read it and got upset. But, right below that video was this one, and that eye contact in the thumbnail immediately calmed me down. Nice job, Tom. Of course, your hug videos are fabulous!!

Really simple but still so intense. More warmth and squeezing, and just being still and quiet in the breath. The next best thing when you have no one to do this in real life.
tip: if you want to keep the video looking smooth while using a lower frame rate, match your shutter speed to your frame rate! for example, when using 30fps, use 1/30 second, and for 24 or 25fps, 1/25!
