4K Bodnant Garden - The National Trust 

Bodnant is one of those places to enjoy over and over. Glad you liked it.

Thank you Lusy. It is a delightful garden to visit. I like to look out gardens wherever I travel as well as more natural places. In Vancouver I really liked the Lynn Creek/Canyon trail and the Queen Elizabeth park, although both days were wet.

Bodnant is a beautiful place to explore and enjoy a magnificent garden. I love to be amongst the spectacular trees.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy colour and variety of plant life. Not as wild as much of your walks but it does sit very close to the Welsh mountains so a wild experience is only minutes away. The National Trust does a magnificent job of looking after these great gardens, properties and landscapes around the UK.

It is easy to lose track of time here. The sound of falling water and the birdsong are hypnotic. The sit and listen while at the same time the air is filled with the stunning perfumes of the azaleas is magical. There is such a lot in this world to enjoy and a great garden is one of those joys. Bodnant is my favourite Welsh garden and despite its enormous popularity it is so extensive that it is easy too sit and enjoy quiet moments among the relaxing sounds of the birdsong and falling water enhanced with the scent of the azaleas. The Orchid garden in the Botanic Garden is a favourite of mine. We have visited on several occasions and each time have been amazed. The new gardens by the bay are another great addition to the attractions in Singapore. Bodnant is a very different collection of plants many of which would need to be in the Botanic Gardens cool house. It is a very beautiful place to relax

It is a beautiful garden with so much to enjoy. We try to visit at least once each year. Merci d'avoir pris le temps de regarder et pour vos très gentils commentaires. Passez une merveilleuse semaine.

It is easy to pass when heading for the hills and if you are not a member of the National Trust the on the day admission fees are a big deterrent. Years ago I thought that I would not be interested in being a member. I often would walk on lands protected by the Trust but did not have an interest in other properties. Then we were walking in Cornwall and parking above Kynance Cove. A recruiter asked if I would like to join and I said no because I only enjoyed walking the coast and country paths. He very directly said "well don`t you think you should contribute something to the upkeep of those paths". I thought about it and thought well yes, I don`t mind contributing for that. That was over 30 years ago and I have kept the membership ever since. On walks and all sorts of holidays in the UK it has taken me to some wonderful places that I might never have visited. I often visit properties, gardens and many walks as well as more energetic wild excursions. I have found it opened up so much and helped widen my interests. Places like Bodnant I now wander in quite regularly on trips to North Wales. I am glad you enjoyed my video of this visit. Thanks for your very kind comments.

@@IvorsTravels we’ve watch quite a few Chanel’s who have membership and I have to say we are considering it. And putting it like that, yes we would like to contribute. We will always pay to park at a beauty spot as we believe in helping with the upkeep on said spot! We may be national trust members yet!!

It is a place to return to often. It really is beautiful and so enjoyable. Many UK gardens have Giant Sequoia but they are only about one third the size of those in California. I still love to see them though.

@@IvorsTravels You should come and visit our Sequoia National forest and hug a sequoia. I would love to visit the garden one day. take care, my friend. 😊

@@PlacesWeGoExploring I have been a couple of times to Sequoia National Park but my arms are not quite wide enough to give the trees a proper hug.

Bodnant is a great place to experience and enjoy. I like the variety of the place with the deep ravines filled with spring colour and trees like the giant sequoia and the formal terraces with so much wonderful colour throughout the summer. HI. You have found a visit I made while still working. I used to take members of the Nottingham Mechanics on trips and holidays. This was on one of those trips in late spring when the Rhododendrons and Azaleas are at their best. Last year we visited in early spring when the Daffodils were really worth seeing. We are lucky here that there are so many wonderful gardens to enjoy. When we were in Iceland we loved the spectacular, raw landscapes and majestic scenery but must admit we did miss the flowers which we have everywhere in abundance. We did however find Reykjavik`s botanic garden while exploring. Thanks for watching.

Thank you for your very kind comments. This is a garden we return to most years. Spring is amazing here but as summer arrives the flowers on the terraces come into their own with magnificent displays and later the huge collection of trees from around the world create their own magic. I just hope that this year we can get back here without further restrictions.

@@SergeCousineau We did visit your amazing Botanical garden in Montreal a few years ago. We stayed just a five minute walk from the entrance so that we might visit easily. It was though a very hot day with temperatures rising to the mid 40`s centigrade. While I really enjoyed the city it was so hot that exploration was very tiring. It was June so we had not really expected such temperatures. In the garden though there were many very welcome drinking water fountains.

@@IvorsTravels Oh! Glad to know you have visit the gardens I also suppose you visit Montreal and maybe Quebec City . In summer it can come very hot and humid which is very hard to support …I am surprise that it was this hot 🥵 in June but possible , the best months is august September October which is more fresh July is often very hot 🥵 . We live in Boisbriand about 30 minutes north of Montreal.

@@SergeCousineau On this occasion our trip started in Toronto then to the shores of Lakes Huron & Superior. We then aimed east through Timmins and Mont Tremblant before heading to Quebec. Quebec City is one of my favourite places. The old town is so lovely and reminds me of the towns of Brittany. We followed much of the Chemin du Roy to Montreal. We loved every minute.
