I love these walks, I enjoy the nature ones more but also like the city walks. The pace is great, please don't speed through it (as mentioned in other comments). I usually play this as a background video on my big screen TV as I work from home. It's very relaxing and helps me stay sane as we're sheltered in place during COVID 19. Thanks so much for doing these amazing videos.
Great feedback. Many thanks. I try to slow down but my natural pace is quick and I am very tall so my steps are long. Good reminder though. Thanks so much - Henry
What a lovely place you´re at! I loved how the clouds reflected in that thin layer of water, and the light green of early summer. Thank you for this taste of Scotland!
LOVED THIS WALK - such beautiful scenery (and weather), and the reflections in the water on the sand were stunning (as were the various rock formations). I for one love these types of walks as well as your city ones, and your occasional narration really adds to the whole experience.
Omg, how awesome, THANK YOU. Started off as just a simple nature trail and then earth in all its magnificant glory. Happy to be part of it. May God keep you daily.
Hi Jeanette, thank you so much for those kind words and I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I would love so much to get back there and film some more walks. Such a beautiful country. - H.
While stuck at home most of the time I enjoy both city and nature walks to view while I do chores. They are relaxing and inspiring as to what we need to get back to when society opens up again. I'd love to travel to Scotland to see it myself but for now I will enjoy videos like this.
Again, these videos keeping me sane through this Coronvirus madness. I like your city walks, but I'm liking more your nature trails. Thanks again and keep walking ♥️
Fabulous! Your videos are fun to view while walking on my treadmill, so thanks! And they show me where I want to go to walk in person. Your Scotland walks are on the top of my list.
Oh Thank you Mary for those wonderful words. Makes my day and so glad you are enjoying Scotland as much as we have. Such a beautiful place. Hope you make it there in person. -H
@@CityWalks Keep these walks coming. May I suggest Neist Point Light (and anywhere else on Skye) and any gardens in Scotland . Royal Botanic in Edinburgh and An Cara (Seil) immediately come to mind.
This is a beautiful virtual walk with stunning scenery. Really want to visit when we can and do the walk for real. Loved the commentary and the peace and quiet of the countryside. Really great. Keep them coming. So nice during these times and especially in the winter months when it is harder to walk outdoors due to the weather .
I've watched a few of your walks around Scotland and this is my favorite so far! Loved the variety of the shoreline and the cliffs and hills. Scenery was just beautiful - will probably watch this one again after looking at more of what you've posted in other places - great way to make treadmill time more interesting !
I am new to walking on the treadmill with videos while isolated at home. This video is beautiful and gives a nice snapshot of the topography and weather. Near the beginning, just after leaving the beach, there was a small cave opening on the left that I hoped you’d look into. It would be nice to take a few seconds to investigate interesting things that are just off the path. I saw a few low growing flowers too that would be nice to get a closer look at. Overall, just lovely. Thank you.
Absolutely amazingly wonderful, love these uk coastal walks, and as youve asked, yes, me I prefer nature and sea coast, as few go to such rugged and unusual little visited places, Please, more of it, and many thanks from locked down melbourne Australia
Glad you enjoyed it and welcome. Australia is on our travel bucket list! We were hoping to go in 2021 but not sure that will happen now. All the best and thanks for the comment -H
Love all your nature walks I've watched a lot of your newer ones buy now I'm going backwards started with you wakes from 4 years ago and now I'm up to this one watching some on my lunch break others on the treadmill and elipicl and still others just relaxing
You really should if you can. There's so much beauty here and the people are truly friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed it. -Henry
I love walking with you through Scotland. Our son is in school in Edinburgh and with the pandemic we couldn’t go with him to drop him off and visit the area. It has been 6 months and looks like it will be a few more before we can see him face to face. Your videos have made me feel closer to him and have helped with decisions on where we would like to go when we do get to vacation.
This will, I’m sure, be one of my favourites. I just found your channel about a month ago and enjoy each one. I particularly like the Scotland videos, and would love to see the Outer Hebrides and more of the Highlands. My ancestors came from North Uist and I’ve been lucky enough to visit Scotland twice, and actually found the little village where they came from. I hope I’ll make it back there some day. In the meantime I’ll continue to enjoy the videos you have to offer. Judging from the comments, I’m certainly not the only one you’re helping get through these difficult times. Take care, and please keep doing this..Thank You!
I'm so glad you've enjoyed the vids. We can't wait to get back to Scotland and the Outer Hebrides and Highlands are definitely at the top of our list of places to visit. So cool that you found that village. It's fun to reconnect with our roots sometimes. -H
A most beautiful walk, I enjoyed every minute of it, this is more than a walk video to me,it's therapy, the coastal area and the the trail are lovely, the serenity and tranquility of this place has such a calming effect, so grateful for these videos, I have sucscribed and am enjoying your walks everyday!
Wow. What a beautiful comment. So glad you enjoyed it and so glad you sub'd. I'm hoping to get a few more nature walks in before we leave Scotland. On Monday, I'll post another one to Findlater castle. A ruin haning on a cliff edge above the see. Click the bell and enable notifications if you'd like to get notified via email. Thanks! -Henry
I really appreciate your City Walks but also love these beautiful scenic walks. My personal preference would be to have a balance of both. This walk was wonderful with the trail first running along the sand and then going through the coastal hills. Tremendous!
I’m going to Scotland and Ireland next year for the first time. Unfortunately I won’t be making it to Cullen though. That video was breathtaking. I knew Scotland is beautiful but that captured a little piece of it. Unbelievable. The only thing that got me itching a little was on the trip to and you were hitting some of the last cliff spots, there were a bench popping up to the right here and there. At that point I had wish you could have stopped for one small moment, turned the camera right, and had shown us the view. I bet the rocks and water were breathtaking. I wish I could have been siting on that bench. But none the less, that video was pretty special. Thank you.
Hi Julie. Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, it's hard to always know when to stop and get a view. I normally try to do that a few times when appropriate but miss a few too. Hope you have a GREAT trip. They are two wonderful countries with friendly people and beautiful scenery. All the best -Henry
Hi there, we’re new to your channel, so we can’t really compare or have a preference, however, this walk is absolutely stunning! We love coastal walks, plus Scotland has some of the best scenery in the world! Looking forward to watching some of your other walks! Kind regards, Simon and Elaine👍👍👍
Hello, was having a really bad day, cabin fever and no sleep last night! Ate chocolate and crisps and that didn’t improve my downer. Found your walk, went on treadmill and feel as though I was there, now sitting outside in the fresh air . Just wanted to say thank you, really needed that and appreciated it 👍
Oh wow! I'm so glad to have helped. Hope your day continues to get better and you get a good sleep tonight. That always helps me. Thanks for reaching out. I love getting comments about how these are helpful. Cheers. -H
hi everyone, i am ghela and i live in budapest hungary. I love this type of video, so I started making them myself in my city. have you ever visited budapest? come with me.
Yeah, we're definitely to travel again too. Hang in there. Glad these are helping a bit. Hope you get to do your tour eventually. Thanks for the comment. -H
Just recently found your channel and started back at the beginning. Glad to see you stop the 360 as they didn’t play well on my tv. This and the Mayan temple ruins are my favorites so far. Thank you.
Thankyou for your nice video nice to see Scotland again my wife was born in scotland Buckie along the coast keep it up regards Mike and Doris hope your well
Hi Mike and Doris, so glad you enjoyed this video. We enjoyed visiting that part of Scotland as well as others. But, it sure was nice to walk along these little towns on the coast. - H
George MacDonald, one of Scotland’s most famous authors, wrote a novel called “Malcolm” which is set in Cullen, (called Portlossie, in the book.) That stretch of beach between Cullen and Portknockie features prominently in the story. It was very cool to see it in this way. Thanks for posting!
Love this. I wish I'd known this. I'll have to read it and maybe ask my wife, @TravelingMel, if she wants to add it to her blog post of books to read before traveling to Scotland. Thanks!! -H
Hi Taylor, we've got lots more rural walks. you can find them on the website at citywalksvirtualtours.com/category/naturewalks/ Thanks for watching. -H
thank you very much for the opportunity to walk along the seashore for someone who stuck at home in these lockdown days. Love your videos. Especially walking through the parks and nature. If it matters, I'd like sometimes to see more views and details. But I understand that your channel is called "walking...", if you sometimes stop and give some seconds to celebrate the view, it would be great. Once more - thank you!
I am touring virtual hikes/jogs around the world (we're under pandemic stay at home order) and this was a fun virtual hike. Here's what I like: 1) it's virtual -- I'm not watching others walk, I'M "walking". I don't like the travelogues where you do NOT feel like it's your experience; 2) best parts are the most diverse parts, e.g. from beach to cliff, waves crashing thru rocks, diverse landscape to look at. For suggestions, if the route has a LONG stretch with same view, maybe run fast to shorten it (haha). Also, suggestion for future videos: those of us thousands of miles away would LOVE to hike around the islands and castles and ruins of Scotland. (in person one day, if I'm lucky -- thank you for giving me a sneak peak)
This was a fabulous walk! When you were on the top of the cliffs looking down over the water all alone, did you feel like you were the only person in the world? So serene and peaceful! Love it when your walks lead us to mountains, along rivers, into the woods and the snow! Recently watched the Zion Utah Riverside Walk. For anyone who hasn’t seen that one yet it is tremendous! Check it out. This is really a great channel. You can really learn a lot about all these places. Yes, I am a subscriber. How can I not be! From N.J. You do a great job! Keep walking. Thanks!
Great video. I'm from this area. It's a nice walk from Portknockie to the next village Findochty too. The path along the viaduct at the start of the video used to be the railway line. The three rocks on the beach are called the three kings. And rock formation at Portknockie around 30 minutes is called the bow fiddle.
@@CityWalks It certainly is an amazing place and definitely lucky to have some beautiful scenery on our doorstep. I hope you get the opportunity to visit again in the future.
Thanks for the nice walk along the beach 🥰 03:00 how to rock formations like these even end up on the beach 🤔 EDIT: 20:04 ok nvm now i see haha 29:55 WOW, such a great view of the rock formations!
28th video walk... My 2nd time on THIS video lol. I sure do love the water and mountain scenaries. I might even do a 3rd walk on here again, near future 👍👍😀👟👟
If you had a 360 degree camera, we could get a sense of what you are really seeing. This is very good, but at one point you commented on how magnificent the view is and you hoped we could get a sense of it. 360 degree view would help with that.
A great and peaceful walk. Thanks for sharing. This walk and scenery reminds me a movie "local hero' - one of my favorite movie. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_Hero_(film)
Well this is an older video at this point and you've probably gotten a whole lot more experience. Beautiful scenery on this coastal walk along the water but you just got to stick to doing all your talking in the beginning and once you start walking it's probably best not to interrupt the serenity.
Thanks Carol. It’s always a struggle for me to find the right balance. Lots of other viewers really enjoy the talking but I totally understand those that want the solitude. What I’ve settled on for now is typically more talking with cities and less talking with nature walks. Thanks for watching and for taking the time to give feedback. Always appreciated. - H
@@caroljeanscholl7370 Hi Carol, Of course not. I really do appreciate feedback. I can't always implement it but I'm glad to have it. My goal is to make these as helpful and enjoyable as I can so I need to hear back from people, especially when they are polite and well intentioned like your comment. Thanks again and glad you liked the walk. It really is a beautiful part of the world. -H
