Just a quick vid on what I had to do to my 1995 Z28 in order to fit wheels without cutting the bumpstops. The wheels are 17x9.5 C7 Z06 replicas. The tires are General G-Max
I had to purchase spacers because of rubbing as well. However, my aftermarket wheels don't have the cavities. I think I'll have to replace the factory lugs with shorter lugs. Do you have any other recommendations. Where did you purchase the drag bags? How exactly does it help your suspension?
If your lugs stick out a bit, the cheap and easy way to do it is to put on the spacer and use a sawzall to cut the lugs down. Replacing 20 wheel studs is a pain in the butt. I got the drag bags from Summit Racing (link below). What they do is prevent the wheels from coming up and rubbing on the wheel wells when you hit large bumps or have a heavy load in the car. My old tires had tons of cuts on the sidewall from rubbing. I have never had to put more than the minimum pressure in mine which is 7psi. Be warned, it's a b*tch to get the drag bag into the coil spring! www.summitracing.com/parts/air-60897/make/chevrolet/model/camaro/year/1995
