4th year PhD BACK TO SCHOOL: Week In My Life
New apartment, new city, new roommate, NEW SCHOOL YEAR! This is a very chatty vlog as I go through the first week of my new semester!
Hello friends! If you are new here, my name is Katherine and I am a third year PhD candidate studying history at the Ohio State University! I am a social historian of war, and my area of focus is France + Australia during WWI.

I'm a doctoral student in history of science, I live in Brazil. I found your videos by chance and your content has been useful to think about some challenges that the doctorate brings. Your videos on organization are very good. I wish you could talk more about your research in a video. The work on changes and experiences in motherhood in the First World War is sensational. My wife and some friends were interested in reading it after it was done.

I will try and talk my work a bit more in the next video! I am sometimes hesitant to share too much (as academics are want to do in the beginning stages of a project before publishing), but I love what I do and would be happy to share more!

Extremely productive! I'll make a recap video for next week :) Met lots of new colleagues and went to 9 different archives!

@@rachelbeauchamp8912 I have 6 years of funding, so I have three full years left including this one! This is a bit of a research and writing year. Starting my first chapter this fall, and hopefully my second one in the spring!
