Hi all, in today's video I'm giving a quick channel update with info on upcoming videos.
I'll also show you my new option for cooking which I think is better than an air fryer , but its still needs to be tested, let me know your thoughts.

I went for Sunbeam $250 COM7000SS that is similar Airfryer/Grill/Convection, 12 function, pretty versatile. Added an induction plate and a coffee machine, life is good! I absolutely love the pizza cooking which is perfection! Whack in a frozen 12" pizza, opt for pizza and press go, just need to check progress with different pizzas but easy with the light and window. Like everything there is trial and error, I prefer to pre-heat by turning it on Pizza setting, then going to get the pizza, unpacking it and then chucking it in, maybe alter the temp and reduce the time. A thin base margherita light on toppings is very different from a thick base with everything and the oven can't tell the difference. An extraordinarily good pizza oven and worth the price for this alone. No need for a stone but a thin metal round paddle makes it easy to remove when hot. I don't use it in the vehicle, I pull it out and place on a table, it is light, doesn't get too hot or vent much.

Cheers for that I will suss them out. Good to hear others are thinking the same thing. The settings in this one after confusing to say the least which requires the manual to be present at all times but that aside it seems to be ticking the boxes for going into the 4wd. I'll miss the road chef but not for long 😁.

Hi, awesome video. I am pretty new to off-roading and I have a same model Pajero as yours. I’m not entirely when to use 4H, 4HLC or 4LLC. I am also looking to do some beach driving similar conditions to the one in your video here. Which 4wd mode is the best? I guess there will be a mix of low speed climbs and then high speed cruising down a beach for a few kms. Keen to hear from you. Thanks

I was looking for something similar for my canopy setup & a friend wants one for his yacht also. I ended up getting a small round 3.5ltr 1300w air fryer for now & a cheap 20ltr micro but probly wont use the micro, too big. My concern with ur build is putting the micro up high effects ur weight distribution somewhat & also adds a lot more forces to the micro when 4wding & they are rather heavy, it would probly be better sitting on ur drawer set for these reasons, but you do you. I would probly try wrapping the glass table in a tea towel or towel, turn it upside down & stuff a pillow on top to keep it from bouncing around on the tracks, or just stow it separately in a drawer down lower. I think there is a market for a smaller travel type version of this appliance. Interesting to see how it all goes.

See you in November mate. Sounds like you have a lot of work to come in the back of the Paj pulling everything down and fixing it up. I've just done a rebuild on the back end of mine and while it works well I ahve a few minor things I don't like which means I want to rebuild again already lol. Lots of bloody work. Personally I think the Microwave is over kill but I know you love doing strange things lmfao. As for the camera's you mentioned, Im not a fan of the 360 cameras especially with one of the clips you put up on German Point Rd where it turns into a circle. Im loving my DJI Osmo Action 3 cameras.

sorry, here you go amzn.to/3LEIoaw . Ill try and knock the cook kit one up as soon as I can. needs a bit more testing. Not sure I'm very happy with it. the stainless sticks like a pain in the butt even though ive 'seasoned' it. if it was exactly the same but non stick it would be awesome

Hello Hello. Just a two cents here. The double-style air compressors in my experience, have been fantastic. Sure, they're large.. But, they stay cool and they pump dam fast.. (Cheap too).

Hey Greg. When I got the new tjm I went to get the twin version but they don't have any in stock for another 6 weeks. So that made the decision for me. I've never been unhappy with any of my compressors even the older eBay cheapies.

Ive had the same thought about putting a microwave in my Wrangler. For the moment they are still to bulky for me. They take up too much space. Good luck with the project.

I would love unit about half this size. Id love even an air fryer it combo unit the size of the travel buddy oven I already have in there. I think the market would just snap them up. Fingers crossed. It is a fair space to take up.

Careful,putting that microwave unit on that Kaon shelf as when you go off road and the car is lurching side to side, the weight of the microwave unit will make that kaon bracket also move side to side and possibly break. I reinforced my kaon bracket a different way to make secure as I setup similarly the back feet watching your videos. Love the content. Mike

I'm very interested in the microwave installation, I've been thinking of this for a couple of years now, so quite timely since I now have a 4WD. I also want induction cooking and a drawer fridge, so electrical fitout will be a little expensive to say the least.

Have the LG version of it but $600 Not overly impressed with the air fry function but the rest is fantastic especially the oven cooking also the preset programs. The air fry function does have much space other than for things like chicken wings. Interesting how it works out.
@DENMONKEY
@DENMONKEY 9 месяцев назад
Cheers Dave, I tested the air fry function last night and I don't think it's as quick as a normal air fryer but I still need to figure it out. It is quiet complex for what it is. Only one way to find out. Either way I think I'll be happy with the compromise and it should fit into the build well I hope. Is yours in the 4wd or van or at home?

I'd suggest you mount the microwave oven on shock mounts. Being a domestic kitchen appliance with a microwave tube, it's probably not designed to withstand vibration that would occur in a off road vehicle installation.

I'll was planning on using the feet already on it but we'll look to do similar in the top between the rack. My one in the van was just bolted to the counter top. But it's not off road.

I doubt you will get the air fry function below 1100w at min setting. They are efficient given the short time span they need to cook but still have a minimum wattage draw. I wouldn’t use it while in motion, but given both microwave and air frying is fast, if you got the power it’s a good mod-con.
@DENMONKEY
@DENMONKEY 9 месяцев назад
Yeah I don't think I'll use it on the run .. Actually I know I won't. but I'll still need to come up with a way to store or hold down the plate etc when in the move. But one hurdle at a time. Like you said, with the speed they cook vs the old 12v oven, I don't need to cook on the move. That and when I'm camping etc , I'm not in a hurry. Let's be honest though, I don't really NEED it.. my system will handle the power draw, it tested as expected at the rated draw. The power setting can only be dropped when using the microwave function. Quick testing so far didn't seem to suggest it's a worthwhile function. But it's early days. I just thought it might be useful for someone who wanted a microwave that could be lowered in power to suit their system. I'll report back though when I've played with it a bit more.
@y0uCantHandle
@y0uCantHandle 9 месяцев назад
@@DENMONKEY nice i look forward to it... _"a way to store or hold down the plate"_ - if it were me, i would get an 11inch silicone round cake pan (or 2) and keep it stuffed in the microwave. Could also use a silicone hot water bottle with a slit through it to create a pouch. To stop it flying out... I would add a door latch like a 12v Road Chef, or if its glass to the edge, perhaps a slide bolt on the underside of the door.

I must admit Les, I often get more enjoyment out of trying and testing etc then the actual using when it's all over. I've got a bubble wrap sleeve that I will stick some cardboard in that might work. I think they're pretty sturdy though. I have high hopes for it but I feel this one may not quite pan out.

When I tested the TJM twin, it was a little short of the rated max pressure (112 psi, vs the rated 120psi) which isn't really an issue, unless you run a tank...... Might be something to check.
@DENMONKEY
@DENMONKEY 9 месяцев назад
I will admit it's your fault I went with the tjm. I hadn't really considered them as an option or really getting a new one. But I watched one of your videos the night when the other one let go. I was on their door step at opening the next morning. So thanks very much influencer 😁. I think the real output is only marginally better than the old ridge rider in there now, but top speed isnt really at the top of my list. I'm going for reliability and of course the fun of the build. I went on to buy the twin but they don't have them for at least another 6 weeks. They didn't have a lot of things.
@LockyourHubs4WDing
@LockyourHubs4WDing 9 месяцев назад
@@DENMONKEY first and foremost sorry! 😁 I think you'll be happy with the TJM, the bloke I borrowed the TJM pump from is still over the moon about his (and the fact it's faster than my ARB.....) Since you drive a Paj with the spare on the rear door, I have an idea. I took a couple of tyres to destruction with nitrogen a couple of years ago. Both tyres (an old road tyre and a 35" mud let go around 300psi) so 120, or even 150psi will be a walk in the park for a half decent tyre. Use your spare as a temp air tank, remove the Schrader and plumb to an airline. It'll take a few minutes to get up to pressure, but you can turn it on remotely in the drive out. You'll dramatically reduce inflation times or even if you want to do a two or four tyre inflation setup, there will be plenty of capacity. I've been meaning to do something similar for years, but haven't gotten around to it, and you're installing a new system....... 😊

Cheers for the input John. I can't argue feedback and I know what you mean but it's just not my style. It would however make my process and workflow much more efficient, especially time wise. What you don't see in the final product are several hours of cut footage that I need to cull to get it down to a reasonable length. It kills me from an editing perspective. That said, I'm a talker John 😁 and for me, I dislike watching scripted videos and despise the teaser aspect to get you to the end of the video for longer viewing times. This was just for a bit of fun. Appreciate the feedback though mate and it's an area of development for me . Cheers for being here.
