New intro, logo and outro lookin good Brett. Just an FYI, Kmart do a little 3.2L air fryer too. I use it in the caravan for the kids chips and nuggets, great cos there's no oil to worry about. Heck Kmart even doing a battery box now for $60 which is pretty much the same as the king's ones etc. Lithium is the way to go for the power and the weight savings alone. Great vid mate.

Thanks Noodles, Just having a test on the intros and stuff. still learning there. I'm glad people are noticing though. Thought I might have been wasting my time. Trying to keep it short , I hate long intros. Im going to keep my eye out for something with a smaller footprint, if there is such a thing. I also want to check out kmarts induction cook tops. I did see those battery boxes there a little while ago along with some little AM batteries . I think even bloody aldi has done lithium batteries now. the more they do it, the cheaper it get. so im all for it

Great video mate, your Li setup has really moved forward and your cooking variety certainly leaves the 2 burner gas for dead. I am amazed when I think back to what we as campers did pre-solar - didn't we pack up camp and go for a drive, or just idle the 4x4 for an hour to put power back in to run our setup? Certainly something to be said for solar - and Li. Twice the capacity for half the weight and a deeper draw down than the AGM - gotta be happy with that. I still have AGM and am certainly worried about using my inverter, only coz of the fridge. It is incredible just how quickly the batts get recharged with the solar tho on a sunny day. Cheers mate, keep these vids coming - maybe you can demo cook something one day?

love your work mate 👌👍 "Test it!" has always been my mantra, plenty of people give me shit for some of the methods (charging an SLA from the ciggy plug? yep it works.. leccy blankets thru your inverter? uses stuff all!), but its all stuff you learn by having a go and not worrying about what some "expert" says.. most of my gear / installs get to about 90%, good enough to work and be safe, but never quite finished 😂 PS: i love my FPV Power DIY ~100ah lithium box 👍

Hi, very good videos. To compare the consumption of different appliances, would be good if you record the energy (kWh) each one uses during a complete cooking cycle. If one appliance use 100Amps for 10 seconds and the other one uses 50Amps but for 1 hour, the more efficient one will be the first one.

I been using air fryer in my Pajero for over a month now every day And as you mentioned, once they get to heat they recycle and they cook quick, Very efficient. I think it’s going to take off. Love you channel. As an avid Pajero owner myself, your doing a great job on your Pajero.
@mikewasowski1411

That’s good to hear a second person vouch for it. For some reason I thought they would have the element on almost all the time as my in-laws one seems to vent heaps of hot air out the back, hence I expected it to be constantly pulling in heaps external cold air heating and venting straight out. That would result in a very high duty cycle whereas seems they recirculate internally a fair bit. Hmmmm. I might plug in a watt meter to theirs and see what’s it’s really pulling

It would be interesting to compare the overall energy usage between the air fryer and the road chef to cook a couple of frozen pies. The air fryer is going to be quicker, though even with the much higher current draw, the overall battery usage might be less.
@DENMONKEY
@DENMONKEY 2 года назад
You and your bloody pies 😁 I want to pick something that I can cook in the road chef, the air fryer, the microwave and maybe the induction cooker. But I can't think of anything that would work and be fair on all. But I wanted it to be something that would be edible once cooked. I was thinking fish or chicken nuggets and chips. But id need to oil fry them on the cooker and they'll be shit out of the micro wave. Open to suggestions. Theyre different beasts though so I likely won't find the perfect thing.
