I’ve been having problems with the one spark problem with the killswitch from the CDI box I was wondering if there was a fix for the problem besides leaving it unplugged bc now my wheeler won’t turn off unless I plug it back up. I’ve got a brand new killswitch up on the left handlebar and made sure the wires weren’t touching on the throttle side and I have a fairly new CDI box. Could it be my CDI box already went bad and have to replace it?
Yes. I've had that problem. sometimes you can unplug the black wire and it still shuts off. other times not. The problem is, the cdi or the run stop kill switch. sometimes it can be the keyswitch. Also make sure your ground wires are clean.
Those old 425s could be lots of things. Carb clean, electrical connections. Throttle kill switch. run stop kill switch. I wouldn't know without looking at it.
