Another beautiful video Vincent in a wonderful setting. Your Videos are always pleasing on my soul, your are a great character. I wish I lived in Ireland. Take care of yourself and I look forward to your next adventure. Dave Cowlard.
That is a heavenly place. I like the expression ‘counting your blessings’, we don’t appreciate the blessings we have half enough! Looking forward to hopefully another vid before you sign off for the season.
So true! Your a wise man. The simple pleasures of life is what it's all about. Must fish this lake a lot more in the new year please God. Thanks for watching and your lovely comment as always. Cheers.
That lake is up in the mountains in county kerry. I've never seen a sandy beach like that on a mountain lake it's unbelievable . lovely spot for a swim and a nap 😊 thanks for watching and commenting cheers.
Every thing comes to an end unfortunately. But hopefully I'll be back before you know it. Its nice knowing I'm going to be missed.😊 thanks dmp your lovely comment. Until next time. Hope all your dreams come true.
I think you were the prize 5-pounder of this episode. Beautiful looking trout though! Looking forward to the Irish/NZ match-up in the next round of the Rugby World Cup? I would still prefer a day fishing in that long boat in your neck of the woods. Regards from down-under.
A Day fishing is what i live for. There's nothing better. Nothing. Thanks so much for your lovely comment and for watching. Its funny i know nothing about football or rugby never watched a game. I was watching strictly come dancing with my wife she turned on the rugby to watch and was explaining to me the rules and regulations and the scoring system. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's always sad coming to an end of season😢 don't like getting old then 6 a day then 7 a day. Here lies the body of the mad fisherman he reached 32 a day. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 one day at a time and laugh all the way 😊 hopefully. Mind yourself out there on the water. Keep safe.
Hopefully you'll have a few more casts before the season comes to an end. That fish had some cracking markings on it. Stunning fish. That beach is to die for. It looks so peaceful. Even though I like to catch a fish or two when I'm out. I think I strive for more peace and quiet now. I used to get a bit fed up when I blanked but I don't care now! I just like being out in it all. Always great watching you. As usual I'm at work! Take care mate.😀
Work it's a terrible word my friend. 😂😂😂😂😂 always great to hear from you. Hopefully you will get out soon and catch a whopper a fish so big you won't have to tell anyone any lies about it. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 until next time don't work to hard. The man who works and dose his best goes out the gate the same as the rest. 😊
Thanks very much for watching and your lovely comment. Not looking good to get out again. That word work is in the way. 😢 work work work. When i win the lotto.😂😂😂😂
Oh no.... I never thought about the sweets that way... I believe I must be an old man as well...Lol Beautiful looking browns ... On my screen, that trout look to be about twelve pounds. Leave it as you found it, exactly how you found it... Love It Please don't let the season come to an end...✌️
Hi Vince thanks a lot for such a nice and relaxing video and music. I always look forward to your escapades ! Wishing you all the best ! 🥂🍻cheers and greetings. 👋👋👋
Thanks so much 7 strings glad you watched and enjoyed my video. Thanks for your lovely comment as always. Cheers. Hope your well and happy what ever your up to.😊
Thanks so much glad you enjoyed my video. I don't think I've scratched the surface of that lake. Next time I'm down there i must bring a few worms haven't used a worm in years. That would be fun. Leaving a worm out overnight and might wake up to a beautiful breakfast. No restrictions on the lake. Roll on next year.
It was so so good and sitting on the beach plus having the place to myself was the pinch of salt and smidgen of pepper on the curry. Heaven in a plastic container. 😊 Thanks for watching and for your great comment. If you could only taste with your sight 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Jumbo curry special. ❤it.
Hiya Vince for next year try the daddy long legs found it very good this year in Lough guitane. Great video as usual and can’t wait to get there again in 2024. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🎣🎣
Thanks for the great tip. I'll definitely do that next year if I'm on the lake sounds like a great plan. Roll on next year. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 what's the biggest trout you ever caught on the lake? May i ask.
@@Vincentdonnelly5158 2.5 lbs Vince and I caught him on a bibio variant fly, but I ve lost a few bigger than that and I fly fish from the shore which can be very productive. The bibio is a great fly there but a few locals say keep the daddy and a few small dry flies in your box. The tug is the drug Vince and great to getaway to that beautiful part of the country for a bit of me time. If we win the lottery sometime we might get one of the land plots north of the lake. Wouldn’t that be the biz. Take care & take it easy, will meet up soon 🐟🐟
@@bigmac9040 thanks for the information definitely will fish it more next year please God. A a and a half pound wild mountain trout is a beauty. I've caught many wild brown trout over the years over the 4 pound mark but I've never got one over the 5 pound. Maybe next year. Thanks for all your comments. Must tie up more daddies. Cheers.
🎹👍 Hallo, gut gemacht, super Video👏👍danke für gegenseitige Unterstützung, wir wünschen dir einen schönen Sonntag, liebe Grüße Anne & Siggi 🔔 Abofreund 🔔
Well my friend if that was the last one as usual lovely part of god's own county on the good side i now have time too stock up on more for the chest just idea how about you do some fly fishing for the pike. Injoy life stay safe and next time I text you we could be WORLD champions 🏉 🇮🇪🥃🥃
Thanks for the great comment. Cheers. I used do a lot of pike fishing many years ago but me personally i wouldn't be interested in doing it again. I'd prefer to catch a mackerel. Might do some bass fishing maybe you never know when I'll pop up again watch this space. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Vincent Always look forward to your videos, you do live close to some beautiful spots to fish, and eating outside is so much better , already looking forward to the next episode 👍👍🎣
Hope to get away soon please God if i can get a day off work 😅 love camping and fishing eating and drinking 😂😂😂😂 glad you enjoyed my video. Thanks a lot for your lovely comment.
Thanks so much for your lovely comment. Glad you watched my videos. Keep an eye on my channel you never know what I'll do next. Maybe a game of golf, now wouldn't that be exciting watching me hit a ball into a hole then half way through the game me pitching up my tent making a fry having a dram and a nap in the rough of course wouldn't think of pitching my tent up on the green might get hit by a golf ball. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Not being a salad person, I thought you were eating _lettuce_ in your omelette; you had me thinking, my God, he's not kidding with that 'Mad fisherman' handle! (A bit of Googling put me straight...) Rocket, huh? The thought does occur to me - if you were willing to abjure the egg, you wouldn't have to eat the rocket! (Course, it might actually be that you _like_ rocket..! 'Takes all sorts', so they tell me.) I was most intrigued by your ride (1:44) 40 years in the Motor Trade, I don't believe I've ever encountered such a make or model as the 'Viduc'... is that one of those ones out of Bulgaria, or the former Yugoslavia, or something 😉 (Actually, I say '40 years', that might be a slight exaggeration - does a year or so as a forecourt attendant count? Lol!) I was glad to see you got a decent days fishing on what might be - but hopefully isn't - your last outing of the season. I have to admit, I never thought I'd see the day when you'll have more success on a trout lake (excepting those places that run on a "pick your own strawberries" type - basis) than you would with mackerel when they're (meant to be) in season. The world's gone nuts! Lastly, lucky for you, (lucky for me, lucky for Mrs. Donnelly...) that I always pay attention to your videos rather than leaving them 'droning away' in the background while I'm picking horses, or something... You "had a lovely Chinese on the beach..." How, in all good conscience, could I _not_ have picked up the phone to your Lady Wife?! Yes, I know, shooting's too good for me!! Be sure'n keep those lines -loose- ~ sorry, I'm thinking lorry drivers - _tight!_ tight... Some lovely tunes, Vince, too, btw!
Glad you enjoyed the guitar playing. Cheers for that. Anything in the fridge that's just had its day i never throw out any food it all goes onto the frying pan and fried. That's just the way i was brought up thinking of the starting children around the world. Dacia duster is what I'm driving a great vehicle never have any problems with them. Driving them the last ten years. Love the dacia. If i could afford a bmw jeep I'd probably buy one of them. But until i win the lotto are some subscribers of mine who's a multi millionaire dies and leaves me all his money it's the dacia for me. Great price great value and great reliability. ❤ my dacia. Thanks for the great comment cheers until the next time.
@@Vincentdonnelly5158 I'm actually the same with food, I do hate to see waste, same reason as you said, there's enough people starving in the World. I always feel guilty if I'm not able to finish a meal, or I leave something go off - which is silly in a way, cos what am I meant to do - post it over to the 3rd world?! Finish it, even if it means getting food poisoning?! And, like, I'm not this big 'Greenie', or anything, but there's all the energy and resources in getting the food to the supermarket too, y'know, asparagus from Peru, for instance (for €1~35 a bundle - yet there was a time, not _that_ long ago, when you had to be _rich_ to eat that stuff!) So then, I feel honour bound to _eat_ it - _all_ of it! Which, I actually think it would be a good thing if _more_ people thought that way, so you're a man after my own heart! But if the stuff _does_ go to waste, it's _not_ ACTUALLY the End Of The World - and yet, I worry about it far more than I ought to!! Incidentally, when it comes to "Huntin', Shootin' and Fishin' " - well, it's great sport, for one thing, but if it's to put food on the table, well that's an honourable and environmentally friendly of feeding yourself and your family too, as long as you respect the season and the quota, etc. Or you 'catch & release', of course. That's why I can't get behind fox - hunting... whatever about the 'unspeakable', it's certainly the uneatable! But that's just me, I'm not a great one for telling other people how they should live! As for the Dacia... 'Duster', is it? (I'm not able to refer back to your reply.) Actually, I know Sweet Fanny Adams about motors, but I know you've been faithful to that model for donkey's years - going back to when they first came out, was it? That just in itself has got to tell you something! And I know that one you have now has been the veteran of manys a fishing campaign. It seems like they've kind of 'upped the spec.' considerably since when they first came out, but I really liked their philosophy when they were launched. You know, give 'em 'adequate' (but decent) interiors, as in, a straightforward radio, no~frills trim, single cord for the parcel shelf, etc, etc - and the €€ saved on the cosmetic stuff either goes under the bonnet... or back in the buyers pocket. And I like that kind of thinking. Now, I've never driven one - matter of fact, I don't drive _at all_ - so you could say I'm spoofing about stuff I don't even know about, and fair enough. But while the interiors are now more 'up to spec' with their competitors, in response to the demands of the market, I suppose, I suspect that even if your numbers came up in the lottery, and you could buy that Jeep in the morning, there might be a part of you that might regret trading in that Duster, if Dacia have remained even _half_ - way true to their design ethos... But whatever the case, 'just for pig - iron', try this when you have a minute... Take an old envelope, and on the back of it write DACIA. Use that same 'space~agey' font that they use. Now, turn it upside - down and see, how does it read.?!
Oh my God, Vincent, I got it all wrong then: 5 a day to me is pints of beer. And are you sure that is in Ireland, this Lough Guitane, because we used to smoke them these Guitanes and I'm pretty sure they were or are French. Anyway, great to see you catching trout in October. All the best and greetings.
5 pints a day sounds great. Imagine going to the doctor and being told you must drink more beer and whiskey and eat more fries wouldn't that be dandy. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 cheers. 😂😂😂 Thanks for watching and for your funny comment.
Hi as far as i know its the 12 of October. There's to many different dates they should just round it off the same for salmon and trout. Maybe it's deliberately done to catch fellows keeping a fish out of season and getting fined and their gear takin off them. Salmon ends last day of September then you catch one while trout fishing and the temptation is there to keep it and your caught and now your in big trouble. Salmon starts 1st of February the trout 14 of February your out Salmon fishing and you catch some beautiful brown trout and again the temptation is there to bring home a trout to your wife and if caught your classed as a poacher. I've said it a thousand times start and end them same day and make life less complicated. Hope that answers your question😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
For sure the system in Ireland is so complicated 😂 all of the Loughs along the Shannon have different dates for the trout, yet they are basically the same body of water, who’s the mastermind behind it all 😂😂
@@senanstanleyfishing I actually know the answer. Believe it or not it stems from the English landlords hundreds of years ago that ruled Ireland and they made the rules to the river or lough they owned and land renting it out to the peasant taking a certain amount of fish or cows or sheep or chickens what ever the case may be in payment and those rules are still in Forse today all these years later they haven't been changed. Its mind boggling.
I used have a boat and engine. Years ago. My friend let me have a loan of his boat plus his engine. I'm happy just rowing around the lake so i never take his engine. Rowing is good for the body and soul. 😂😂😂😂😂 cheers. Thanks for watching and commenting.
