Being vegetarian I was interested in the different ways to cook veggies in the Ninja airfryer (I have the 9 in 1 model). I had carrots and broccoli along with my evening meal but wish I’d seen this video before I boringly just boiled the veggies although I like them with a little ‘bite’ and not mush! I will be trying out your ideas in future. Just a suggestion, maybe some more vegetarian recipes ? though I appreciate you’re not vegetarian. Also perhaps tips to get over the fear of pressure cooking, I’m too scared to try mine yet! Good luck with the cook book!
Hi, Great idea about the fear of pressure cooking as this seems to be a theme and I was no different at the start. Thanks for watching the video and I plan to do a week of vegetarian ninja meals.....I have the plan and recipes in place but just struggling for time at the moment but it's coming
I steamed carrots the other day which were chunky and they took 15 minutes. I would imagine green beans will take around 5 minutes but the nice thing with steaming is that you can open the lid and check
Hi, You can pressure cook - depending on how you like your vegetables is the length of time. You could still try 0 minutes on high with a quick release. Alternatively you can steam them with 500ml of water in the pot - between 5-12 minutes - again it depends on how you like your vegetables cooked. With pressure cook you cannot open the lid but with steam you can open and check and remove once the veg is soft enough for you. You will need to consider the size of your pieces if cooking several different vegetables. Broccoli will cook quicker then carrots unless the carrot is cut very fine and the broccoli left large
For the first recipe you gave both temps, such as 150 or 350. You did not do that for the others and I live in Canada and do that 300 and odd temps. Can you please give me the other temps?❤
Hi, sorry I’m away this weekend abroad but I can do this when I get back Tuesday. It’s good to know that this is actually useful for someone though. Thanks for watching
