I wish I had seen this link yesterday when I purchased the app. The speaking feature would be very useful for me because I have a neurological problem with my hands. For some reason I cannot see the feature on the app. Any ideas why? Could it be because I am using Android?
@BibleMemoryGoal
@BibleMemoryGoal Год назад
Unfortunately, it’s only available on Apple devices right now. The feature relies on a new dictation capability of Apple phones.

@@BibleMemoryGoal I use dictation on my Android all the time, that is how I wrote these comments. In fact I wrote my Christian fantasy novel on my Android phone. It wasn't easy :)

@@costascy82 - Strange thing is that in my Android app there is no dictation option in Bible Memory as the features bar is absent. Would it be that difficult to enable it?
@costascy82

@@DerekWinterburn I'm guessing that they need to write and test the code for Android which takes time.

So I do my initial memorizing on an app, but moving on to oral recitation is so important if you don’t want to fumble a way through a verse when sharing and speaking to others! Super cool.

I'm enjoying the Dwell app and it does the looping very well with options for how long of a pause there is in between, which means that if you are doing one verse you can set it on, for example, 10 seconds or 30 seconds to orally say the verse in between (although it is not your voice on the recording).

That's really cool! I've never heard of nor tried that app, so I'll have to give it a look. Thanks, Roy.

My main problem with it, is that my phone will auto-suggest the next word, correctly if it hears garble or a wrong word. I'm not sure if that's a phone setting I can change - but because I do that it's really cheating. For example, I tried using it, and paused the think about a word - it picked up a background conversation (basically heard gibberish) and told me what the next word was ...then I just said that correct word and continued.
@BibleMemoryGoal
@BibleMemoryGoal Год назад
Yea, I can see that being a problem. For me, I try not to look down at the phone except between ever verse just to make sure it hasn't fallen behind or gotten ahead. It's not flawless and I don't use it all the time, TBH.

My app does not have that feature. The mike on the keyboard is no longer grayed out but that icon doesn’t appear. In fact that “view” option is missing from my menu.

I’m sorry to hear that, Bill. It’s only available for Pro members (paid) on iOS.

Does anyone know if this dictation review option is available now on the Android Bible Memory App? It has been about 4 months. For health reasons, this would be amazing. I have been unable to find anything about it on their website but I could be missing it. Great video though!
