The music is at least good. That game is unplayable even with codes. Btw on a gameplay vid one of the developers commented on making the game seemed like a nice guy.
Came out same time as SPAWN LOL.. and here we complain about games being updated or delayed constantly .. let’s go back to these two .. shit ass Spawn and the crow lol
Totally agree about Kiss Pinball. Its complete lack of actual Kiss music pissed me off plenty, but the actual tables were horribly designed and the physics were more pachinko than pinball (which is actually an issue with the vast majority of 2D pinball games). I got rid of it two days after I bought it.
@@pnut3844able typically everyone's opinion is valid, but in this case I think you need your head examined. Syphon Filter was one of the best games made for the PlayStation
I got a PS1 with PaRappa The Rapper for Christmas in 1996 and I thought it was one of the worst things I had ever played for about 20 years. It took me about 45 minutes to beat it. I played it again a few years ago and now I love it.
How about another Nerd Classic. "This game makes me want to have an anal evacuation." Nobody makes hilarious quotes like the Nerd. Now, it's time to drop The Atomic F-Bomb on all these shitty games!
I remember going to buy Resident Evil and the store I went to was out of it so I bought Bubsy instead. Really should have waited until they restocked their games. For some reason Bubsy had a cheat code where he would be dressed as the guy from "Escape from L.A." None of the dumb thing made any sense.
After beating Bloodbourne twice, I had this crazy urge to play one of the earliest From Software titles, in King's Field. I remember always wanting to play it when I was young because I grew up on FPS's as they were growing (Catacombs 3D, Wolf 3D, Doom, Duke 3D, etc) and I was OBSESSED with them! They weren't as common back then so I had played A LOT of obscure title's as well (Fortress Of Dr. Radiki, Isle Of The Dead, TekWar, etc) but maaaan am I glad I skipped out on King's Field as it is definitely NOT a fps and I would've hated it. All that being said (I love to fucking ramble sometimes) playing it after beating Bloodbourne, I couldn't put it down! It was limited by the hardware, sure, but it made up for it with its atmosphere and a very real sense of progression. Beating it felt like an actual accomplishment, much like From Software's output since Demon's Souls
Good lord, I’m hurting as I read this. I couldn’t imagine being a kid getting a game for over $100! If I did it better be this epic, secret final fantasy game no one knows about lol Edit: if this did happen I probably got tricked n game was “fantasy of final old farts” with old guys playing poker smoking cigars just farting lmao
I actually rented that one back in the day and remember enjoying it, but more as a mindless fly around shooting stuff down game to waste time. I only recently bought a copy, but haven't had a chance to play it again yet.
This game must have been super hyped by the media. I remember a videogames tv show here in Brazil recommended the game and got me hyped. I'm glad I pirated it because that was a huge disappointment.
Flinstones Bedrock Bowling reminds me of the first two Hugo games in Europe. Those were actually compilations of games featured on a TV show aired in a bunch of countries where contestants could play those games with relatively little lag over the telephone.
Back in the early '00's, I was just a wee lil kid and with every dang game I played all I saw constantly was clipping and nearly gave up on gaming...gawd how I hate clipping!
Excellent choice to include MK Special Forces. I love the MK series, but this game is horrible. I completed it approx. 10 years ago and don't feel the urge to ever do this again. However, the boss fight music is awesome, so sometimes I listen to this again on RU-vid.
Countdown Vampires The Simpsons Wrestling the only good thing about MK: Special Forces was the one quip Jax used "You want some Fries to go with that Whoop-ass?"
I remember one year I thought I was getting a PS2 for Xmas as my mum had been asking lots of questions about them but instead I got London Racer and a couple of other terrible end of life PS1 games as she decided a PS2 was too expensive...
While the MK Special Forces is certainly not a good game, the boss battles are actually quite fun! It also added lore and characters otherwise not in MK games at the time.
So i am not alone.. as a kid i couldn't figure out the password to the door at the end of the sewer level. Revisited the game again and cleared it. I think i reached the underground realm, but after that lost interest.
Aside from Bubsy 3D (which I didn't play, thank God) the other 4 I've never heard of before, let alone play. I hope someday you do a "5 More Bad Playstation Games" video.
Interesting fact! Bubsy 3D developer Eidetic went on to develop the Syphon Filter games. According to my producer at the time, Accolade (the publisher of Bubsy 3D) actually turned down the opportunity to extend the schedule on Bubsy 3D to use a new engine which would eventually be used for Syphon Filter. Oh, and I'm surprised not to see Floating Runner on the list which has an engine that is just as bad as Bubsy 3D for control and camera.
A bad game for the PS1 would be Austin Powers Pinball. It is a pinball game that has 2 boards based on two of the Austin Powers films. If I want to play a pinball game, I’ll look for a pinball machine and play on that instead.
@@uneducatedgamer8881 No, Criticom is a terrible fighting game. Trust me homey, I know my PS1 stuff. It is by far the worst 3-D fighter, and prob just the worst fighter ever, period. Matt McMuscles recently did a video about it if you wanna see it in all its "Glory"
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero, My cousin had this back in the day. It really sucked, and shame on them for dissing my boy Sub-Zero with a lame cash grab.
The flinstone game reminds me of clam digger on aqua teen 🤣 Your friend Tyrone calls you up and tells you he can dig more clams than you, so you go to the beach to prove him wrong and the object of the game, is to find parking
The game I remember as being the worse one I got for the PS1 was The Dukes Of Hazzard. Bought it used back in the day used for about five bucks and immediately regretted it as soon as I put in in my system. That game was just horrible in every way imaginable.
I didnt play it for long and it had a sequel! I lent to a friend as an adult and he finished it. I didn't hold back on how amazed I was of his effort. He was a clever guy, persistent too.
I haven't played too many bad PS1 games, because I was only buying games that were either highly recommended by friends or had great reviews in the magazines BUT, if I had to pick one: it's Fighting Force 2. After amazing Fighting Force 1, I bought FF2 without hesitation and...boy what a waste of money it was. Huuuge disappointment!
Rush Down. What a broken horrible mess, even as budget shovelware standards. One of my friends received it for his birthday from another friend, his mom picked it up as a gift. We laughed as we played it and mocked the both of them relentlessly. Several years ago my friend found it and gave it to me for xmas, haha!
Hooters Road Trip. Experienced the driving first and hoped maybe the eating chicken sections would make up for it. There were no eating chicken sections. 😫
1. Battle Station 2. TNN Motor Sports Hardcore 4x4 3. Iron & Blood 4. Battle Monsters 5. Time Commando 6. Killing Zone 7. Creature Shock 8. Trash It 9. Fantastic Four 10. Blast Chamber
MK Special Forces is not that bad, its more than playable. I could name dozens of other ps1 games which are really bad, especially those that are left in Japan
I was a kid when the play station was a thing . Me and my buddy would rent a game and hang out all weekend . Sometimes we would get stuck with some garbage , all weekend . I love looking back at this junk now tho .
Good video! I have to say, I do own two of those bad games, Kiss Pinball and Bubsy 3D. Kiss Pinball is a bad game. I remember Bubsy 3D being one of the first games, that I got for the Playstation. Not a great game either!
There are several other bad PlayStation games that truly come to mind. One of which is a game called Pax Corpus, which was originally going to be a Aeon Flux title before Virgin Interactive, its original publisher, pulled out, and it is a title that plays very similar to Rascal, but it plays far worse: Worse graphics, worse controls, inconsistent objectives and some of the worst level designs that I had ever seen. There's even one level in this game that is almost impossible due to platforms that are virtually out of reach and require precision jumping!!!! OMG, what an AWFUL game that is, and I even DARE you to play it! But note that this game was only released in Europe, and Europe believe it or not, has so many region-exclusive games that are just as bad, if not worse, most of them being low-budget titles coming from like Midas or Phoenix Games (Yeah, Phoenix Games! Ever heard of them?).
Pax Corpus should have been much better since Aeon Flux was sew kewl. sigh I'm getting it confused with the Fifth Element bit same deal. A movie to game thst was better thsn the movie was Star wars episode 1.
Yea that was WAAYYYY before the dial shock was out my dude. For Bubsy3d I actually bought the first controller they released with the dual sticks. It was the Dual analog controller. Had the 2 sticks, but they were solid plastic with smooth grooves in them. They didnt have the rubber covers that actually come out. I bought that the same night I got Street fighter EX plus alpha. I think that was the first night the game came out. Walked up to the video game store (Game Trader, casselberry FL) traded in sooo much stuff to get credit to be able to tag both the game & controller. The cont was madd expensive! It's when PS had to battle Nintendo in court over the rights to use vibration. They had it locked down from the rumble pack. The dual shock PS came out a year or 2 later. It was a new PS they released. I had the OG with the YWR ports that were on the actual back of the system. They hadn't switched to the cord that the PS2 & 3 can use. Old skool! Gawddamn I'm old! Lmado
