@@LarryG20- On this show Darkseid has no avatar. Lex Luthor unintentionally resurrected him during an attempt to revive Brainiac. Lex wanted to merge with Brainiac again to gain power.
He's impressed at his trick, but also at peace. He's dying, but died saving every universe. He'll be remembered as a hero in the end, instead of a criminal.
JQ was never as psycho as owl man. he just wanted to be a crime boss, not kill himself, so he was all too ready to help batman and when he found out bats tricked him, whats the point of being mad
The Conman's code "It is the deceived who are at fault, not the deceiver." Once you accept this as justifying your actions you're no longer allowed to complain when you get tricked.
I like the dynamic mr freeze and batman have developed in the past decade where they have to be helping each other such as in the arkham games. I just don't get why at some point Bruce Wayne doesnt just himself help develop a cure for nora
You can't help but feel for Mr. Freeze. He is given a chance to redeem himself with a new body and make amends for what he had done as a villain but gets screwed over by the scientists who cloned his body and wants revenge. And in the end, he sacrifices himself. I think he saw in Terry Batman's "never give up" attitude when it came to redeeming enemies.
Jennifer Pruitt powers and his little piece of eye candy deserved what they got. This though is making me wanna write an au fanfic where someone does manage to save him and proves the world ain’t heartless
This is one reason why I was upset that Villain characters in DCUO are *forced* to betray Freeze in one mission line, they don't even give you an option to instead side with Freeze (possibly even to the point of them managing to keep Freeze from going *too* far....). If I'd had my way, my Villain would have tried to help him (though to be fair, in my head-canon for said Villain, she wasn't actually evil and was only a Villain because her daughter was being used by Circe as a hostage to force her cooperation, and if the JL ever managed to save her daughter, she would happily switch sides in a heartbeat), even if helping Freeze meant pissing off the Joker as a result.
Jennifer Pruitt mister freeze inherently isn’t even truly “bad” in most iterations. Most the stuff he does is to fund a cure for his wife, which is why he became what he did. Most times he expresses a lot of remorse and ultimately ends up turning himself in or helping fix the wrongs he did.
Mr. Freeze is such a great character. Even at his most villainous, you never forget that deep down, he's a good man. You're always rooting for him and want him to be okay in the end.
Not only is it badass as his last words, but its also badass that he CHOSE those to be his last words. Batman gave him all the chance to deactivate the bomb, shit, being one of the smartest people in the multiverses he could've reworked the bomb into a teleportor to take him home and try again one day. But Owlman chose to not save himself, why? Because, it doesn't matter.
My interpretation always was that, if there's a reality for every possibility, if Bruce had ever decided to not overpower him or if any Owlman was stronger than Bruce, the universe would blow up, thus it shouldn't matter for him to deactivate it, some other Owlman would win and the universe would end. He either knew that or simply accepted that he could never win, thus accepted his death.
Owlman also wanted to detonate the bomb because, in his mind, he would be making the only possible real choice, considering there won't be an alternate Earth where he didn't blow up Earth Prime because reality would have crumbled and died. He was obsessed with the concept of the Multiverse and saw many of their actions as meaningless as there would be another Earth where they didn't make their decisions.
thing is, Deadshot was stood with his hands side by side, yet drew a perfect X on his chest, im waiting for a 2019 animated film where Thawne survived it again. 10/1 says he ends up in a Lazarus Pit
The Batman Beyond animated series and movie were the best part of an already excellent DC animated lineup. It really astounds me that Warner Brothers is having such a hard time deciding on the tone of Superman and Batman when theyve already been done so perfectly. Just watch the cartoons, and you can literally see why everyone loves them.
I like Mister Freeze's off-screen death in Batman: Arkham Knight. In the mission _In From the Cold_ where Freeze is the central character, his wife is released from her stasis pod (revealing she was awake the entire time) and tells him that she'd rather live out her days instead of spending them in the pod (Arkham Origins established her terminal illness as Huntington's chorea). Freeze deactivates his suit and decides to leave Gotham with her to travel the world with whatever time they have left together. It's implied that they both died sometime after departing the city.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G2N18J_HKWQ.html It's such a beautiful and bittersweet ending, but I'll be damned if it doesn't pull at the heartstrings for Victor and Nora Fries. "Time never has been on our side, Victor."
Well I view Mister Freeze as more of a anti-hero because his main intention is just to save his wife, Nora, which I think the arkham series did perfectly
I agree that does make him a more interesting character... Which makes it disappointing that in the comics it's revealed that her real name is Nora Fields and she was frozen before Victor was even born, and he's just a schizophrenic loony that convinced himself that he's in love with a frozen woman he's never actually met.
And here's the top spot. Damn this scene. The writing, the pacing, the music. The fact that you're watching the Batman, sitting on a swing, holding a little girl's hand to provide that little bit of human connection that she'd never had in her entire life, for the moments she had left of it. To hell with claiming onions. That robs the writers. I cry. They made me cry. They deserve that bit of shameless admittance.
Ace was never a villain, just a child who was turned into a weapon. *Ace:* _They got their weapon, I got cheated out of my childhood._ *Batman:* _I know what that's like._ *Ace:* _You do, don't you?_
*Batman* Yes *ace* Im dying, arent I *Batman* yes *Ace *thats ok, will you stay with me? *Batman holds her hand and softly rocks on his swing* *me crying streams of rivers* give them an oscar!
"You're the only one who cares" thst one kind pulled at my heart strings. Imagine being Mr. Freeze. You lost everything and got it back, then had it all taken from you again. It's sad, even for someone like Freeze
How tragic and I agree with number 1. Batman Beyond was so good and I’m glad to have grown up with it. Mister Freeze was always one of my favorite villains and loved his backstory. One villain that really grew on me over the years was Scarecrow. In the old school comics he was insanely ruthless and creepy. Well done and loved your vid, cheers mate
@@ihavesnacks4186 Darkseid is the ruler of an alternate reality called apokolips so he kinda is. I recommended you watch the Justice League: Apokolips War animated movie. You get to see how strong and smart he really is
@@lisagaughan7154 I mean, Batman & Robin wasn't the best film, but George Clooney and Uma Thurman got wards out of it, and they even said it made them Hollywood Stars!
Gotta agree with Freeze taking the top spot as he has always been something of a sympathetic character who did evil things for a good reason. And I have to admit that I shed manly tears of manliness for his demise.
I don't think Tim killed Joker but Joker in his twisted joke of a creation killed himself for the sickest punchline, to which Joker the first responds "that's not funny."
I would say my favorite Joker death was in Arkham City/Knight, because once again the Joker inadvertently caused his own demise but returned in the mind of a former enemy. For Freeze, his death in Harley Quinn was rather poignant, his last act saving Nora and letting her live her own life.
I feel that Johnny Quicks death wasn't just a ruse to keep the flash alive but it was showing the crime syndicate what it means to be a hero and what losses it takes to build heroism which in this case is their teammate and friend Johnny Quick.
Technically Luthor didn't "accidentally" bring Darkseid back from death. It was Tala. In her last moments before she was obliterated she used her magic to bring Darkseid back instead of Brainaic as a last "Screw You Lex" moment. The creators of the show even admitted this.
Johnny quicks death seems like a very redeemable way to go, knowing that what he'd do would probably kill him, and still going through with it to save the world, makes him show as selfless on the inside after getting through the hard shell of the selfish jerk he was
AdderTude that’s why Needle Mouse Productions said that there might be a possibility of the Justice League animated Darkseid and Lex Luthor being dead because if the source wall really is destroyed then only those versions of Lex Luthor and Darkseid are dead because of the fact that if the source wall really is completely destroyed then those two died along with it.
Here's what I think. Lots of oranges. Rhino - Red Green Goblin - Yellow Doctor Octopus - Green Venom - Yellow Mysterio - either Yellow or Green Electro - Orange Kraven the Hunter - Green The Lizard - Indigo or Yellow Shocker - Orange Electro - Orange Sandman - either Blue or Indigo Scorpion - Orange Carnage - Black Black Cat - Violet Kingpin - Orange Vulture (Adrian Toomes) - either Orange or Red
@@bryanramennoodles7289 pretty sure he just quoted what owlman said before he died. He goes "it doesn't really matter. ", smirks and then wait for the bomb to go off. Badass af
12:20 the most hurting words from any person and yet it’s sad to say that he’s not at all wrong, throughout his entire life he has lost so much, he lost his normal life, his wife from the sickness he hoped to cure, his place in humanity, and the only people he thought saved him simply didn’t care for him, and he finally gives up just accepting he should die paying for his crimes as while somebody does care about him nobody else could care about him as much 😢😢
Nothing Matters yeah Winter Soldier was really good cause it had that espionage and spy movie feeling to it. Civil War was the best in my opinion but that just shows that the best one has no villain (Zemo was just a troublemaker) so Marvel really needs to work on its memorable villains. Like Toyman in JL did more than Maliketh in Dark World.
Great video. Really well done. When I heard the Joker's name, I thought for sure it was going to be his death in Injustice where Superman punched him right through his scrawny chest. I've always loved the look on Batman's face in that frame.
@@TheChosenMoose01 David Hayter voiced the original Solid Snake. I was making a joke, as in Ironside should be known for playing Darkseid instead, not Sam Fisher, then I described Sam Fisher as a cosplay of Solid Snake lol
what you dont see is, after they are out of sight, he knocks Nora out, refreezes her promising a cure and puts on his new and improved freeze suit 2.0 vowing to cure her, or turn the world into a ice palace where only they will live forever.
It was confirmed by the writers of JLU that Lex and Darkseid were sent to the Source Wall and became a part of it, as you can see from the countless other faces of former tyrants in the scene showing the Source Wall.
Frankly, I prefer the “tamer” version of Joker’s death, because I find it creepier. Joker’s scream as he gets fried, then the silence, and then Tim’s laughing turning into crying.
I watched most of the Batman tv shows or movies that you mention when I was younger. All of them are great and fantastic and cool and has great production animation wise and voice acting
Mr freeze brings back memories from playing the first Lego Batman game as a kid with all the classic Batman villains such as Sandman, Joker and Mr freeze. Who are apart of my favorite DC villains of all time: Mr freeze Sandman Darkseid Bane and many others
I'd have to say if I had to choose my favorite Batman villain it would be Mr. Freeze (with The Penguin being a close 2nd), and the reason they were able even to leave such a impact on me for me to consider them my 2 most favorite villains is because of their design in the "The Batman" tv show I mean the orange hair of The Penguin and the way his tophat bended and the monocle, and THEN THERE WAS MR. FREEZE!! I mean the way his suit was designed and the way his powers were utilized by the suit was just awesome, AND I LITERALLY JUST LOVED THE ICE SHAPED HEAD AND RED EYES SOOOOOO MUCH!!!
@@yonathansolano8793 because the reverse flash/Eobard thawne is from 22nd century. anytime the reverse flash's killed in twenty-first-century it automatically gets negated because a version of reverse flash/Eobard thawne is always runing back through the time stream and that version of him happens to witness whatever death that occurs unless he killed in his own time period There's no way to kill him
He can die. In the injustice universe, his ancestors are killed and he is never born. Therefore he could die permanently and could not travel in time. Its one the reasons he is not prone to killing people in the past without careful consideration. This same theory holds true in the mainstream.
1:00 actually there was a solid reason. He wanted to go to the original earth where the first choice was made so that he can make the only possible choice which doesn't have a flip side. It's crazy, but it's got some sort of twisted logic to it that works.
Reverse Flash's second death could have been avoided if he just got a brain transplant after he escaped death but, nope. Go thru the trouble of searching the world for a card because, story!
I also loved when joker died in batman returns when joker finaly drives batman over the limit causing him to fracture joker neck and evetually joker snaping his own neck hitting batman with the line " no you have done it "
I like the one where the writers grew balls and killed off a 70 year old character who couldn't experience any more character growth. Then they invented a new villain who could go through story arcs. Haha. Just kidding, comics books are dead these days. since the 90's everything has been trash. Name one new villian who is decent.
@@aprettyrainbow Hush is a one note character who was built up who basically did nothing and only existed by retconning bruce waynes life, owls only exited because of retconning the entire gotham history where it doesn't make any sense at all. Honestly the court of owls doesn't make sense at all when you consider well batman and his rogues and all the stuff that has happened. It's a really stupid idea. Then there is the Red hood who signaled the death of all creative thought. Now villians pop up and the only way they can exist extreme retconning. But hey let's kill batman.. again... again... the de age him... then retcon him... then send him back in time.
