This is a great vid and posted at the perfect time.. fighting through some low back pain at the moment. Come to think of it, I'm always fighting low back pain these days! If you're like me and don't have the space in your home gym for a reverse hyper but have a power rack, I cut a 4x3 slab of 1 inch plywood and put an oak board on the front and back which not only stiffens the plywood to support my weight (~250 these days) but also stops it from sliding side to side. Use a band or two for the resistance and there you go. Splinters build character! I'll vouch for the cold tub... we do the polar plunge every winter and jumping in the 37-39F ocean after a squat or deadlift day does wonders for DOMS! Anyway, this had some great tips, thanks Matt. Always posting straight-up info that can be used right away. For those who found this useful, check out the manuals and website. It's really worth the look.

Graham, it’s how mine feels on an actual reverse hyper. Matt has actually mentioned how uncomfortable it can be for bigger guys and that’s why we should be working on our core so that we can keep it tight while doing the revers hypers.
