I live in a very sunny climate and have horrid 11’s , but I am a parent if two women your age. I’ve had Botox on the 11’s and I love it. That said ; I have heard from really good surgeons as well that long term use will cause atrophy. Which looks far worse than wrinkles. I’d be afraid if I were young like you to have prolonged use. They don’t know yet how that will be. Try not to squint and follow her advice on that. You are very young.

Thank you for content that doesn’t amplify insecurities or this feeling of ‘needing’ to get something. I’m 33 and many times I get mistaken for being in my early to mid 20’s and recently I went to my derm to ask about an insecurity I had with some genetic fat under my chin. She referred me to someone else and then just casually said I’ll ‘need’ a facelift in about 10 years. She pointed to her own neck as evidence and honestly I didn’t see any need for her to do that. And she shared that insecurity with me. I even told her sometimes I think the little pudge I have is even kind of cute sometimes, I’ve had it all my life and social media made me feel I had to have a crazy jaw but I’m European, it’s not a defect! (The reason I changed my mind is a saw a gorgeous actress who also had a little fat under her chin and I just realized how out of focus I was zeroing in and obsessing over something so minimal) my derm even said she didn’t even notice it until I pointed it out. 🤦‍♀️ So ladies, derms are humans and sometimes they lose perspective too and forget their own beauty is not dictated by the current fad of extra sharp jawline or whatever the current obsession is. I hope to age gracefully and love my face and naturally take care of it so it looks good. Cosmetic surgery is NOT necessary to look beautiful and I really wish I would have gone to someone who would have emphasized this.
@stephaniem1107
@stephaniem1107 Год назад
I have the neck pudge too! I've always had it and my mum and brother also have it. I want to lose a little weight which will hopefully reduce it a bit (I don't want to lose weight because of it, just for health) but even when I was a skinny little teenager I still had it. I'm 31 now and I'm definitely not interested in getting procedures done, retinol is enough for me.

I'm a man, so I don't care if I have wrinkles. But when I was a kid I used to watch the Jack LaLanne show when I got a chance. It was on during the day so the show was aimed at housewives. Jack had a set of facial exercises to do and you can see them on YT. The exercises did scrunch up (and stretch out) the face, but the idea was to strengthen and tone the underlying facial muscles. So I do it, along with all my other exercises, and my face looks pretty youthful. My intention was never to look younger but, rather, to exercise all my skeletal muscles. It just makes sense.

My dermatologist recommended an over-the-counter product called Melatonik. It is a serum that contains melatonin. She said it would treat my rosacea, as well as help reduce wrinkles and damage by increasing cell turnover like hyaluronic acid does. I have been using it religiously for 3 1/2 years now every night under a collagen night cream. It costs $160 for a 1 ounce bottle that lasts about 6 months. Works out to about $27 per month. I think you look beautiful and even more so because you don't get botox and fillers. I always assumed when I got to be the age I am (43) I would be doing this stuff but honestly it doesn't seem worth the risk. Having an autoimmune condition I have to be more careful so it's nice to see that not everyone feels they have to get procedures to look nice.

My mother has never had one procedure. She wears sunscreen and is modest with sun exposure and eats well and looks amazing at 55. What I see most in her is how she just appreciates herself and isn’t constantly worried about aging. She is beautiful period. It’s not age dependent. Lifestyle and eating well are huge. All my aunt in their 50’s look amazing because they laugh and enjoy life and eat well. I hope to have that same spirit and it just is so beautiful.

I agree that this derm looks normal and in a good way! Those of us with certain chronic health issues need a good provider who will say NO, even when you want them to say YES. I'm in my late 40s, but never really wrinkled and only get fine lines around my eyes when I smile for the most part. But, I started to get a "1" between my eyebrows that I could see all the time a couple of years ago and asked my provider how much Botox would cost to fix that (it's only around $100 USD to treat that area). However, I have severe dry eye and a genetic connective tissue disorder, so we discussed it further as I was worried about adverse reactions I'd read about. Botox can cause dry eye in normal people and with my defective collagen, who knows where the Botox could end up migrating to. She asked if I could live with even drier eyes for 3 months (NO!) and was really pushing me against getting anything injected for my "fine line," which made me feel a little better as it seems like an etched in wrinkle on my face that makes me look angry and old. So, I filled the Rx for tretinoin 2 years ago, which doesn't do much IMO, and more recently bought an inexpensive LRP hyaluronic acid serum that helps to plump up the line (now turning into 2 lines :/) and make it less noticeable. I also try to not frown, but it's something I tend to do when I'm reading, thinking, or listening intently. I'd try more skin care products (the Peter Thomas Roth one was mentioned by my provider as her nurse uses it), but I also have eczema and the eye area is really susceptible to rashes so I only use an ultra-gentle LRP Toleriane cleanser and moisturizer on and around my eyes (well, I do use tretinoin around my eyes--yikes--but honestly my fine lines are just getting worse). I don't think I'm going to stop smiling or laughing, so that's that I suppose. *LRP = La Roche Posay (which I've used since my mid-30s and my sensitive skin loves it).

I am focusing on doing as much as I can with skin care AND being mindful of how I move my face. I used to constantly lift my eyebrows, but I taught myself out of that. It is such a simple concept that nobody is talking about even though it can give you really good results. Probably because you can't sell anything off of that. At the same time, effective skin care makes sure that my skin stays elastic so that the smaller movements of the face don't necessarily even cause a wrinkling effect. I am 31, and I have even been asked if I've had botox since my forehead is so smooth. Well, just once, but I do hold that as a victory. 😂

I love that pillow it's a little expensive but it's worth it , now if I try to sleep on my side even for a few minutes I can't my husband can't believe how I am able to sleep on my back without moving at all 🤣🤣🤣

So, before I learned about frownies and silicone sheets, I used breathe right strips @11s. For those touting The Ordinary/DECEIM, the company was acquired by Estée Lauder as part of their diverse portfolio of advanced skincare at different price points. I use their flagship night serum and rack up on gifts with purchase. I am a fan of Ordinary thanks to Wayne Goss. My personal issue involved misapplication of a mix of products due to lack of information about how to layer them or *not*. Another issue with the instant topicals- they *work* , but how to apply under makeup?

I've been to a dermatologist yesterday because I noticed that I start to get wrinkles under my eyes and near my mouth (nasolabial). First she only recommended pricy procedures like vampire lifting and fillers for the wrinkles around the mouth because I said directly that I'm not interested in Botox. But after she recognised that I'm kinda informed she said, that the most important thing is a good skincare routine. I would never touch fillers, because a doctor and friend of mine told me years ago, that the product builds up easily and doesn't dissolve on its own. No doctor would tell you that voluntarily if they want to sell you that pricy bs. And it's infuriating that they directly recommended fillers even if the wrinkles are fine like mine.

Thank you ☺️ I've been looking into the pillow as well as the frownies. They're just harder to get in Australia 🦘🇦🇺.... I've watched other videos that also suggest other products that help like The Ordinary's - Argireline 10% Solution, Multi Peptide +HA Serum (Buffet) & Matrixyl 10% +HA... Would you suggest them also? 💖

The last 2 times I got Botox, my pupils dialated so big that it turned my green eyes black right in the nurses office within seconds after injection. The following 3 days were filled with seizures, migraine, insomnia, and panic attacks. It also induced a period 2 weeks early the last time and 3 weeks early the time before. First time I thought it had to be something else bc they told me it could not possibly be the Botox. Second time, the same nurse, told me I should never do it again. That it was not for me. I’d say it’s not for ANYONE. It’s a ***** toxin being injected into your FACE! How stupid are we? Listen, this IS what the highest ups in elite circles that develop stuff like this say, according to whistleblowers: “if the people are stupid enough to fall for what we throw at them, then they deserve the consequences and they deserve what’s coming.” Don’t trust ANYTHING coming from mainstream medicine or politics.

I am successfully staying on my back, but am not getting much sleep at all. I would guess that the sleep n glo would help stop the upper lip creasing I am getting, but maybe is not going to stop face crease due to gravity pulling a chubby cheek down? I have made the same experience. Since I am doing Face Yoga on a daily basis, use Gua Sha massages together in combination with my beauty products (Hyaloronic Acid and Vitamin C Serum, Matrixyl 10%+ HA and Argire Solution 10%, Aha-Cream and Retinol - not all together of course) in my morning and evening routine my face has changed once more. It has become slimmer is more defined, tight, glows and my jawline has sharpened too. I am 40, always looked younger, used SPF since my Midtwenties because of my very light toned skin, but since I added those things to my beauty routine I can say I gained a few years more in addition to my younger appearance.
