@@coreywilkins7899 Its a got a fresh aspect to it coupled with a tea note which I guess is the bamboo. Very refreshing & calming. Was my go to when I was on holiday in the Philippines for the high heat. Longevity is only average for me, but it's very affordable so I cant complain.
Does it smell dated at this point? I passed on it a number of times just based on the age of it thinking it might smell dated, but I know where I can get it on clearance so I might do that

I bought a bottle years ago when I first heard about it on your channel (one of your older videos), and used it so much I actually used the whole bottle. I have Starwalker and I like it, but it doesn't last too long. More of an in the house scent, or in places where people may complain since it is light and enjoyable.
How can some fragrances be around seemingly forever (4711, Eucris by Trumper, Eight and Bob, heck Old Spice and Brut etc.) And other fantastic and still largely sought after fragrances be discontinued??? .. with smaller niche producers/manufacturers many houses are missing out on sales that are being replaced by 'recreations' of discontinued fragrances... surely they must see this coming with so many clone houses out there?
Black XS remains one of my favourite scents. I'm happy that it has dipped in popularity and isn't really talked about any more. It's been long enough that among those in their early 20's its almost unknown. Maybe Gents Scents could do a 'Fragrances worth reviving' video, highlighting those which have fallen from mainstream popularity, but are still strong options. Does anyone know for sure whether the repackaged version is the same formulation? The bottle I have from the late 2000's is in the same shape bottle as the 'Potion' version shown in the video. I've heard people say the repackaged version of the original Black XS isn't as strong. Have just checked out if 'Potion' is available here in the UK, there's a website selling 100ml for £35. I will certainly be considering it! Great recommendation from Gents Scents!
I recently found and bought an original formulation bottle of Black XS from 2014. Cost me 50AUD for 50ml which I was happy to pay. (Iv seen bottles on ebay going for 100+) Comparing it to my new 2020 bottle. The new one is 90% the same imo. The original has a slightly stronger strawberry kinda note on the opening. Both are ooook in terms of longevity which is strange because I swear when I had a bottle back in 2006 it used to last longer but maybe I was just a very heavy sprayer in my youth.
I actually just retired her to the guest bedroom because I worked on changing the frag-room around. I’ve shot some videos that aren’t out yet though that still have the blue chair of power in them
Hi sediment/floaters lol are quite prevalent in naturals, indie perfumes and it’s advisable to give a little shake prior to spraying it may block the sprayer 👍
I really like the starwalker and the starwalker extreme both are discontinued if you get a chance to pick one up you probably should. They both do get compliments from men as well as women.
XS potion reminds me of strawberry quality street (not sure if you have them in the US, little individual chocolate shells with a sweet creamy filling). Even though its quite sweet and a bit rich I find its really versatile.
He's done lots of content on Mancera. There's a Mancera ranking video you can have a look at. Cedrat Boise is one of his top 3 Manceras. Also there are plenty of youtubers who have reviewed Cedrat Boise. It's been reformulated now but it's still nice. If compared, Aventus is better. Cedrat Boise is better than CDNIM and Explorer but not by much. I would grab Explorer because of the price. Performance wise CDNIM EDP and Aventus are quite on par. Then Cedrat Boise and then Explorer. There you go.
Starwalker is a great casual daily scent. See it plenty at my local Marshall's still but now that it's discontinued, I'm getting a bit nervous about wearing it so much. Lol
@@CafeHueyLong yeah, I still see it all the time. I also see the intense version but I still prefer the original. I think they must've changed their minds bc having a 2-3yr supply seems a bit odd😅
My favorite discontinued are polo explorer which is like $150 on eBay. Nautica Regatta is another great discontinued for about $40-50 on eBay for 50 mils.
Anyone know definitively if Boss Bottled Intense EDP is discontinued? This is one of my personal favorites and massive compliment getter so I'm wondering if I need to stock up on 5-10 bottles
I love Escada Sentiment, and used to wear it exclusively in 2003. But, as amazing as it smelled, it had HORRIBLE longevity. If it couldn't last, when it was brand new, do you really want a dead-stock bottle, that has been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for a decade?! I imagine that the longevity would be an absolute zero by now. What do you think?
Hey Ash I see three bottles of the black XS potion on eBay 2 listings are for $115 and I see a third listing for $103 I don't see any for 45 unless they took them all I've been looking for this fragrance forever and I was trying to pay decent prices without having over pay looks like I have to keep trying
Valentino uomo intense is supposedly discontinued but there are so many better options out there that smell similar, kinda wish I didn't drop 100$ on a bottle.

I just got another 3.4 of Liz claiborne Candies from fragrancex for I think 25. The older I get more than collecting is the high of the find and the deal. Lol
They have mandarina duck black extreme for like 40 bucks on Fragrancebuy.ca if anybody is interested idk if this is common knowledge or not still runs for the double the price on eBay and in Facebook groups. I got 2 bottles

Starwalker has a bamboo note that I can't get by and is way too floral smelling even though florals are not listed as a note. Not a blind buy even for $19.99. I tried to love it but simply could not.
@@coreywilkins7899 Is say it's not worth it. Save your $20 as the are better fragrances that are much better for the same price. Many people like Starwalker, but it's also outputting to many as well.
