number 6: you NEED a dash camera and indoor garage, I have seen many quite frankly, really nice sports cars horribly key'd from people who for whatever reason decide to destroy a paint job. I bought a 15 model mustang. I'm with you. It makes me so happy to drive. I get home and put it in the garage and just stand there for 15mins looking at it. I got the car because it was a beautiful car and they ready to drive like no other. You nailed the video man.

i own a 1997 dodge viper gts that i got in sorta bad condition for 22k. Anyways i was revving my viper because even though everyone knew it was cheap they still thought it was awesome. So this one girl drives next to us and stops in a Hyundai Sonata. Anyways she was going off any saying "WHY DONT YOU GO BUY A MORE AFFORDABLE CAR INSTEAD OF 85K ON THAT UGLY PIECE OF CRAP" my response was "Lady, my car is a whole 1k cheaper than your car, is more powerful, louder, turbocharged, is a manual, and a v10. your car is 1k more expense, is slow, less powerful, quiet, a v6, naturally aspirated, and an automatic." lady responds with this golden line "since your car is so old, i bet i can beat you in a drag race!!!" keep in mind that this ladies car was a Hyundai Sonata with a v6 automatic and fwd. my car is a 1997 dode viper gts with a turbocharger, its lowered, cold air intake, and straightpiped, and rwd, with that oh so wonderful v10. So we lined up for a drag race across the parking lot, and i got across that thing in about 5 seconds, she took 12. She responded "I let you win you stupid ricer" she said this because i have a racing wing on my car with a front and rear diffuser, and side skirts. so we did another one with her foot pedal on the metal, and she got 12 seconds again. she got angry and drove off. Funniest day of my life
People who talk bad about people who drive sports cars suffer from the "peasant complex" basically it's a feeling of jealousy, inadequacy and the need to tear others down to their level. These people do not believe in social mobility. For example, some British people make fun of posh people just for being born and raised in a posh household. It comes with a level of sociopathy where they believe that wishing misfortune on people who appear to be more fortunate is justified which makes them the "white knight Robin Hood" of fellow "peasants" everywhere. In reality the thought of not being able to own a sports car or follow their dreams drives them to this level of insanity. This kind of people would thrive and feel a true sense of self affirmation if they lived in a Communist utopia.
I completely agree with this video,but in my experience Ive own a 2018 Subaru WRX for about 4 months now,for me it’s the best sport car,it’s got decent power with great comfortability and utility,ground clearance and bumpy ride are there,but to me it’s no problem,I sometimes go out with family all together in my car,to me it’s the best thing that has happened to me,every time I see that car through the restaurants windows or in the collages parking lot I smile and she makes my days brighter

I notice with the exotic car channels when you talk about negative attention, they live in a realm (or at least promote videos) with other people who own exotic cars. A Daily Driven Exotics, Vehicle Virgins, SuperspeedersRob, Vinswiki, Doug DeMuro to an extent shows an artificial world where they network with other people that own exotic cars. I think to some extent, people that show off exotics (and even high end sportcars) are viewed as snobs. They have access to a luxury not accessible to everyone and that can cause envy. Two months ago, green McLaren, new Toyota Supra, Mercedes Benz CLK 55 AMG was doing serious speed on Interstate 5 Southbound in Kern County, and sportcars get attention of the California Highway Patrol where 100 mph ticket is $800 fine, two points on your license, and can be on your record for 10 years.
My solution: Got a 2021 GTI. It's an all in 1 car. Looks good in and out, 4 doors, plenty of cargo space, comfortable seats and good leg room all around, handles like a dream with the diff lock, it's fast, actually has a good ride, it's not terribly hard to work on, 2 fun transmission choices, and it's fairly affordable brand new. I went with the selfish choice and bought a manual one though.

I don't know if I'll ever buy a sports car (I don't make a lot of money), and I'm okay with that. I buy a car to get me from point A to point B. That's it. I'd like a little bit of comfort while I use it. But otherwise, I don't need a lot of bells and whistles - just the necessary stuff that will last as long as possible.

I know it sounds weird, but if you have modified your car and you change your mind and try to put it back to stock, it never seems to be the same as it was, even if you put back the actual parts that you took of it in the first place.

And an extension of the first point.. NEVER cheap out on any performance mod.. that can be something you will regret till you own the car... Cosmetic mods are as easy as removing the mod and replacing it back with a stock part.. but for performance mods.. that's not the case... So please don't add a performance mod that will start falling apart in a few months or years and you will always wish that your car was stock..
One sports car and sports sedan that's comfortable is the Jaguar F Type and Jaguar XF. That's just me though. I tried both. They're both smooth and dissapating of road bumps. But you're right, most sport cars have to compensate for performance than comfort.
Had a Automatic 04 Mustang V6 (Ok not a Sports Car I admit it) that was a gift from Momma. Got it from a friend of the family that had to sell it ASAP, and that car was a great riding touring car. Convertible with softer suspension, but the damn thing literally couldn't outrun my uncle's 5 cylinder Colorado! Longest I ever owned a car that was my Baby for years, but sold it to a Co Worker 2 years ago who needed a reliable vehicle and he's been dailying it ever day since. Also had an 86 Trans Am T-Top with the multiport fuel injected 5.0 V8 that made all of 220 horsepower. That car was gorgeous for it's age but literally everything over a 2 years of ownership fell apart under the hood despite the mechanic I took it to saying it was a good solid car. Jerk... That car killed my interest in older cars and sports cars all at once. One day, one day a C6!

LethalTarget just a few things that may apply to most muscle/sports cars that will help you in your search : 1. If you’re not a slimmer person, the bucket seats can cause hip and lower back pain. Seat and back cushions work for me. 2. Make sure you get a telescopic/tilt steering wheel because the tilt only version may not work for longer arms. 3. The seat will have to be lower due to the windshield not being as tall as a conventional automobile. 4. People will always try to race you-especially on the interstate. (More annoying than anything). 5. V8 and higher models burn gas(but you’re not thinking about that, are you?).
One thing you forgot to mention is if you have a turbocharged car a tune alone will give you significantly more power and with my tune specifically from APR It drives smoother than stock and has 85 more ft lbs of torque out of a 1.8 liter.

Upgrading to a car that should have at least 90 octane gas from a truck that you can piss in the tank and the performance won’t really be affected gets really expensive

I bought me a 2020 camaro and one of my coworkers for the first time walked up to me and my buddy who had a 350z and said with a smile on his face (you drive cars that douchebags drive and all me and my buddy did is look at each other and smiled back and I said back to him we embrace the douche and once you get a car like ours you will to. Me and my buddy started laughing with each other. Might I mention the coworker was 18 more than likely. Funniest thing is he approached us with the intention just to hear what we were talking about. His comments about our cars may or may not have been a thought that he had after he approached us originally.
I personally like the Look of the aztek and would even like to buy one, but there are very few in germany and they arent that cheap (also not expensive but yeah, don't happy with the prices)
I’m a luxury sedan type person myself, but I can tell you, idgaf if someone drives a sports car. I only talk bad about the people who feel the need to peel out of a Walmart parking lot or rev their engines for attention or feel the need to go 30 over just because they have a mustang or Camaro.
