I go over some easy things you can do to fix analog stick issues on any type of controller, including standard Xbox, Elite, Switch Pro Controller, DualSense, and DualShock 4. These methods that don't involve going inside. Since I have made many tutorials on fixing various controllers, and I have received thousands of comments, I can hypothesize that about 60% of people can fix their issues with the methods shown in this video.

As an electrical engineer, I can tell you why this will not work: A bit of some theory: The analogue sticks are made of 2 perpendicularly placed 5k potentiometers. The potentiometer wipers wear off through rigorous use by the user over time as they are made from graphite. This produces false measurements known as "Stick Drift" or "Pin Drift." A more reliable way to fix this is to replace the analog module with a new one from a professional. In this way your controller should work brand new and is not susceptible to stick drift for a period in time. Note that the new potentiometers will wear out at some point so buy more analogue modules to ensure the next time it happens you are equipped with ammunition 😉

The update might help, the sensors in the sticks go bad and need changed, I took all mine apart and cleaned with rubbing alcohol and that only helped a little, one tip of you’re on pc you can recalibrate the controller settings and it will slightly offset the bad drifting leaving you with slight drift but much better so you can game again. If you have slight drift it might fix it all the way not sure my case was major. Was pulling hard often now it’s only some after recalibrated

I definitely used to have yo smack a couple controllers from the back, where the malfunction of the stock drift was. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it made the drift worse. ☝🏾💯🔛💯✅️
