So i have Sale Samurai and I search for keywords that have high search volume and low competition and that's where i struggle. EVERYTHING is high competition. If the search volume is high, so is the competition, if its low... so os the competition. I struggle on a daily with Etsy SEO

Just opened my shop this week, starting out with digital downloads of my art while I wait for my printed cards and art prints to come in and I can choose which ones look and feel the best; trying to balance quality with good pricing. I've already got 7 set designs but I want to actually fee the paper. Anyways, I'm researching SEO tactics and algorithmic strategies to make my first sale! It's a really fun learning experience. I have never tried to sell my art and greeting cards before so it's all new and pretty weird-feeling to me. I was the "Ohh, I just do it for funnnn, no one would ever buy my art!" But it's a good way to bring in a bit of extra money doing something I really enjoy!

My SEO question would be: When I look at successful shop's tags using Sale Samarai, often their tags "aren't good" in the sense they have very low or N/A Etsy search volume which is obviously something you want to avoid. How do these shops do so well when it doesn't appear like they are using SEO software themselves?! Thanks!
Such a great question. Tags are one part of the Etsy SEO puzzle. It could be a variety things from them driving their own traffic from social media, running a sale on that item, having strong keywords in their title and descriptions and even having high quality photos!
I'm an overthinker which is why I have so much problem with this So the first six or so words need to be keywords so if I'm selling a kiss me I'm Irish shirt my title needs to be St Patrick's Day Shirt, and then what ever I want to say to fill 140 characters Then my description should say What a great gift this comfort color kiss me I'm Irish st patricks day shirt would make for someone who likes the vintage look. And then do we carry all this to To the tags or look for 13 other keywords and phrases I purchased the guide last night but I listen throughout the day to youtube and everyone is so different
Thank you for your info. Previously I used your code to sign up for Sale Samarai. I've read you should only have 5 items with the same keywords. How do you do that if you have many items that fit those keywords? This might be a topic worth discussing in a future video.

No, the title should be keywords a shopper is using to describe an item they are looking for. They can filter their search for free shipping when searching already
