That’s honestly the hardest tip because it’s not as tangible as the other ones. I hope the video was useful to you!

Forget trimming, since you like twists like me, what I do is I trim after I twist my hair. That makes it easy to see split ends. That’s what I do and you don’t even need heat….which is why I love it. Try and see. Thanks for the tips🎉

Deeper than Hair has a really great tutorial about trimming your hair. I feel like it's good even if you don't use heat on your hair. She shows you how to part your hair so you can get a really great and even trim. I've trimmed at home for over a year using her method and I've retained more length than in the past.

I like this tutorial too. Also Sara Naturally has an awesome video using crea clips to trim. It give a blunt cut.

Thank you! I ended up going to a stylist cuz I don’t trust myself to do an effective job with trimming. Imma stick to what I know 😂

😂 Yeah, my adventure with the crea clip did not go as well as I hoped. I cut my scraggly waist length to a decent mid back okay trim. It looked horrible after a few weeks. I got a wonderful cut from a barber. It is one of the best cuts I’ve ever had. Two months later my ends are still nice. I decided to cut several inches. No see through ends. I will definitely return. I felt like a million bucks after and still do! Those bad ends were carrying bad energy. 😂

Another girl, Amy Tarie, said ahe doesn't cut her hair every 4-6 weeks because she realized that she was cutting off the majority of her hair growth after deduction how much her hair grows a month. She only trims once a year. After doing so, she was able to reach beyond bra strap length.

How often should trims be done? Should I trim my hair when it’s dry or when it’s wet? (Trying to stay away from heat as much as possible) your hair so pretty luv❤️

It’s recommended to get a trim every 6 months. Depending on your hair goals you can decide to trim on dry or wet hair. Some people trim their hair wet if they want a natural shape up. If you want a thorough trim where you can see the dead and split ends, then it’s best to do it on blow dried hair. I hope that makes sense.

When you say moisturizing a few times a week, with what? What about now? Your hair is gorgeous.

Typically I create my own hair midst moisturizer. If not I spray my hair with water and add a leave in conditioner or moisturizer. This works best with a protective hairstyle like mini twists.

To wash hair with what shampoo or conditioner do you recommend
@MadeWithLoveHair

Honestly there are so many good shampoos and conditioners out there that will do an effective job. I stress less about the brand and more about the ingredients. Try to look for sulfate free shampoos. I do enjoy Carol’s Daughter products so many try that.
