Be prepared for that rice to be mushy, those Knorr rice mixes are only supposed to cook 15 minutes. 4 hours in the slow cooker is going to turn that to mush!
Okay made this today and rice turned into mush by the time chicken was done. More like chicken brocolii and " oatmeal ". Probably why she covers with cheese to hide it. Still smelled good.
Cook chicken first in the soup for like 2 hours, then add the rice and continue till that’s done. microwave the broccoli when rice is done then add, mix, top with cheese, let melt. Shouldn’t be mushy
Lol. She literally made it though in this video. Her recipes are usually pretty legit so I doubt she would post a video for something that tastes like garbage. I don’t doubt it tastes good. Obviously not really that healthy and loaded with salt, but it likely tastes great. You do realize that when you go to a restaurant like chipotle or panda your rice has been sitting there for hours at a consistent heat temperature and you still eat it. That’s how crockpots work too.
@@ishouldbesleeping123Totally different. Rice at restaurants isn’t COOKING for four hours; it cooks about 1/12 as long and then just stays on low heat. This dish really should have the rice added toward the end if one doesn’t want rice porridge.
@@bigA-cy3he Yeah... but this is the kinda salty that makes your mouth burn/raw. Also... she put 15 minute rice in a crockpot for 8 hours. That shit's gonna be broken down to it's basic elements by the time it's done.
Oh my gosh, the sodium the sodium that's in the soup, the sodium that's in that pre-packaged rice the sodium that's in the cheese. Plus you add it more Morton salt 🧂 wow!.
