I'm not much a pleated or cuffed pants type of dresser - more preference than right or wrong, but I love your other points.

Nice to know that pleats are coming back! They look great (IMO) and are indeed more comfortable. I never did understand the flat-front obsession.

Great video! However reverse pleats are going in the same direction as the pockets and forward pleats are going away from the direction of the pockets.

Very underrated channel!

The cuffs for me are a little old school for me I like flat front no cuffs I feel that cuffed pants look great with a drape cut suit. If you’re looking for an English look or a contemporary look I agree that cuffed pants looks good on a taller man with a wider frame for sure.

I work in the industry right now and I gotta say, your advice is on point. The issue I've run into is the same issue you had with guys with their shirt collars. They just don't care. I always appreciated being left with the decision for them, I can base the style off of what fits them best rather than some Pinterest post their girlfriend saw. The other issue I've run into is that guys don't want to wear their pants anywhere above their hips, so pleats are usually out. Especially on bigger guys, they just refuse to do so. I love the video, thanks for everything you do!

Hello Vladimir fine video as usual yep, don't go cheap on the ties they can be expensive but you only really need a handful , buy in the sales or thrift/ charity shops .Im not a turn up guy but they do suit flannels and tweed trousers in many cases. I love that cuffs and pleats are coming back. Because of the functional benefits they provide, they're an essential element of classic formal menswear. A few years from now we'll likely look back and think that the recent period of predominately straight fronts and no cuffs was really odd and unusual.

Wow I heard a couple things here that sound like they may be old school, as in pleats and cuffs on the pants. I've heard contradicting opinions that say never pleats and no cuffs on the pants. Personally I like cuffs on pants for the exact reason you mentioned, I figured it was because I was old school lol. As for pleats I can live with or without them. Oh and right on point with the collar, I agree 100% on that one.

Great tips; cuffs & pleats. All my pants have cuffs. I would add make sure your dress pants are lightweight wool material and have a lining. I recently shopped for dress pant, it was so hard to find them with a lining.

Love the content! For me the pleats and cuffs on the trousers. I would add that you will want a mid-rise instead of a low-rise when doing that, at least from my experience. Love it! You’ve inspired me to start a channel, I was on the edge so thanks for being my tipping point. 🤓

In shoes I’m about 5ft9.5in. I have some suits with no cuff which I generally wear with Chelsea boots. It creates a clean line for a shorter guy. It certainly makes the suit look more casual. It is more of a look for dinner or a concert than the boardroom.

The pictures shown during the Reverse vs Forward pleats didn't match up with the type of pleats being discussed. Navy Pants had Reverse Pleats, Brown Pants had Forward Pleats and the Medium Grey Pants had Reverse Pleats.

As usual Vlad...great video...not sure I can stay with you on the cuffs and pleats. Now back in the days..I was a standard must have cuffs and pleats. Now most of my pants are without cuffs and no pleats. I rather prefer the plain clean lines that produces. Though I still enjoy the look of the cuff...it just looks dated to me at this point. Glad to see you are back making videos....keep up the fantastic work!

You say you prefer the points of a collar hidden under a jacket, and while I agree for spread and semi-spread collars, is this true for point collars as well? I think you have slightly more leeway if you are wearing a standard point collar, since the collar points mostly go down rather than out to the side. Even my longer 3" plus point collar points usually do not sit under the lapel. Also, come back, Vlad!

None of my pants are cuffed but now that ive seen this video i think im going to have to start cuffing.I dont spend much on ties simply coz i dont wear 'em much but yeah i do get your point of investing in good quality ties.Definitely prefer broad collars as i have a long neck and also it looks better.I think I'll have to watch the video again to understand the difference between X and Y.Thanks again!Peace!

Don't know if I agree with all of these points. Cuffs. I used to cuff all my dress pants. Now I am agnostic. It looks cool, but I think it tends to shorten the leg. As I already have relatively short legs for my height, I think maybe uncuffed works better for me. Ties. I don't mind wearing an expensive tie, but I hate paying a lot of money for them. Ties are among the most vulnerable items of clothing men wear. Get caught in a thunderstorm without an umbrella, or spill some soup on one, and that tie might just be going in the trash. And, mishaps can happen to expensive ties as often as less expensive ties. Once I bought an expensive tie off a clearance rack at a fancy boutique and wore it for my closing argument at a jury trial. In those days, that courthouse used these very old tables, and they had velcro all around the edges of the table. Well, you might have guessed it. Somehow, my $100 tie got caught on the velcro and messed up the tie. I brought it back to where I got it, and the salesman gave me some story about the special weave of this tie being MORE delicate than cheaper ties. Here is the thing. You don't get to say that quality will last, yet at the same time, quality items are more delicate. The truth is, some of my favorite ties came from clearance bins, discount stores, and especially, thrift stores. I still try to avoid the cheapest of the cheap, but surprisingly, a well chosen tie doesn't have to be expensive to complete a look.

I agree with everything except with the pleats. No pleats for me, just prefer a clean looking front.. might change with age. I'd say if you go for pleats it must be custom made to ensure proper fit.

Good content but cuffs on pants is a cheap look. Most pants of any sort usually come with cuffs. Tailored pants are usually straight leg...or cuffed inwardly.

Cuffs, I'm 5'9" and wear a 1 1/2 inch cuff with a half break with double outside pleats. I see some "style channels " showcasing pants cuffed at or above the ankle with a tightly fitted pant. What are your thoughts ?✌❤
