Luv u’r recipe!!! Would definitely like to prepare this, so I’m interested in buying a Wok. Any thoughts on the best Wok to purchase and where can I find one to purchase as well. Thank you...
I don't have green onions can you bring me some over to my house? I'm conveniently located in Ohio and dinners at 6 pm so hopefully you can make it in 4 hours
65 yr old guy here. I just made this for my vegetarian wife. I used broccoli because I didn't have green onions. She thought I went and got take-out. Actually it was better than take-out. Thank you. You have so much screen presence. It's a joy to watch your video.
Rice - especially fried rice - is one of those things I don't think I've ever had from a resturaunt that's actually good. It always just turns out mediocre.
Everyone in the comment section who is suggesting other ingredients. She is just making a BASE recipe. She said you can get creative and add whatever you want.
so to the comments saying "thats why I put what I do," this is what I really meant, NO ONE CARES WHAT YOU PUT IN IT. We all make it how we want. I don't care at all what you all do to make your fried rice, I won't do it your way, I'll continue to do it my way. So go ahead and make your own video and show people there then get a million comments telling you how they make it or how you made it wrong. 👍👍👍
@@jes2540 Whats wrong with sharing our opinions with eachother in the comments? Isnt that the whole point of the comment section? You seem like a pretty grumpy guy
My 10 year old just made this. He got green onions from the garden and prepped and cooked everything on his own. Thanks for the clear instructions. This was delicious!
I love watching cooking channels while hungry, because they always make me more hungry, which makes me get off my butt and go actually cook something for myself.
I’m watching this at one in the morning because I am craving fried rice really bad right now. Too bad it’s too late to go make some thing I have to be up early tomorrow.
quick tip: green onions(aka scallions) are very easy to grow in just water so save the base and just place in water. Any glass will do, you may want to change the water out periodically. make sure they get even sunlight, so move glass around adjusting for sun exposure.
I have some leftover rice in the fridge and thought I'd look up a video for fried rice. I found this and it sure looks easy to make, I just need to get some green onions ( yeah, I'm another one who doesn't have any on hand). This will be my first time and then I'll go on from there. Thanks for the great video! I love the way you present it!
I’m making some too right now and I have no green onions 🧅 and I don’t wanna run out in the snow ti get some so I guess I will do with out the green onions today 😊
Literal lifesaver during this pandemic! Paycheck’s late and I had nothing in my pantry/fridge but rice, soy sauce, eggs and some frozen peas/carrots! Easy, healthy, filling, and delicious! Can’t thank you enough!
hi, at what point in the process did you add the frozen peas and carrots? and did you thaw it prior to adding? looking to try this recipe and any tips would be great, would also love to try adding some pre-cooked grilled chicken from my grocery
Guys, my neighbour's wife here in London is from Hong Kong. She makes simple fried rice but uses coconut oil. By far and away the best fried rice ever. The coconut oil just gives it the most delicious, aromatic and nutty flavour. You almost think there are a lot more ingredients in the fried rice. So good.
My white energy was to strong when i watched that lol. I didn't see anything wrong (exept trowing in garlic last) I then realized i may hate rice dishes because no one i know can cook rice correctly and there probably is a reason i like rice from the Chinese restaurant only.
“You tell me you don’t have these ingredients in your house” I don’t have any green onions 😓 Edit: Alright you guys, not everybody needs to reply. You’re spamming my inbox. Plus I tried it out *with green onions* months ago. Yes, very tasty. Edit 2: Bruuuh, y’all are TROLLS !!! I hate the internet 🤣🤣😭😭😭STOP REPLYING, it’s been a whole year
She says to tag her in any post you make recreating her recipes so she can give your post love.. Well, SHE REALLY DOES!! I see/hear so many RU-vidrs say that, but she really does! I love that! Keep the yummy recipes coming 🖤💜
@@SeonkyoungLongest I don't have any spring onions until the 17th as I can only buy online as I shouldn't go out. Do you think it will be OK with just shallots?
Everything that can go wrong will go wrong. At the start when she was listing off the ingredients, I realised I didn't have the jasmine rice. No big deal, I thought so I just proceeded with the rest of the video. She said to cook in cold rice, mind you I had never heard of cold rice, this wasn't my first time cooking until I realised that it was boiled rice left at room temperature. Oh wait you have to boil the rice, I finally understood having already inserted the raw rice into the wok with the eggs which for some reason, maybe it was because I put an absurd amount of olive oil, took me forever to finally cook. Trying to recover this excuse of a meal as a thousand asian families loom over my shoulders in shame and disbelief, I put cold water into the mixture until the rice has soaked it up. Maybe it'll fluffen up a little I thought. Anyways, in the confusing panic, I was trying to look for ways to "fix" the rice and end up worsening it as I see the grains burn at the bottom of the pan. Overall I'd rate the dish and the experience 10/10 because I'm hungry.
I needed to come back and say thanks , I never made fired rice before and coming from a Hispanic family this is very different from what typically serve. I made the second recipe and my family said it's was great , I love it very much and I can't wait to bring these type of dishes more and more often 👍
I’ve never properly cooked something like this in my life, today that changed. I think this is a skill I’ve been neglecting, so I thank you very much for this, it turned out fantastic. By the way anyone that doesn’t have green onions, I used celery and sliced them longways until they were about the width of a French fry, then diced them just as shown in the video. 😎 👍 👍
Me being mixed Japanese and white and my adult sons who are mixed Japanese, white and black. Can I just say we live the American dream! Cultures from all over the world can merge and learn from one another. It’s absolutely beautiful and just want to say to all I appreciate you!
Day 13 of quarantine, I have learned to cook fried rice that doesn't take much time to do Edit: day 17 I have burned the rice Edit 2: how the hell did this get alot of likes
If you can get yourself a slow cooker and go to allrecipes.com. They have a good section of slow cooker recipes that are basically chop up the ingredients and throw them in the cooker for 4 hours. Also see if you can get a copy of the book 'cheap fast good.' It has a lot of really good and simple recipes that the writer and her mother made for their families. She also has a good deal of advice on ways to save money on your groceries which is going to be very important for a lot of us.
@@shumeister1059 its not easy especially when my wife was raised on box dinners and quick eats where as I was raised on home cooked meals from scratch. The kids tend to eat everything I make since it's always fresh and healthy. Lol
@@SykotikShadow Good fresh real food(without chemical junks) is so important. I think people's body starts to have more trouble in old age, if they haven't been taking care of them. I'm glad you're supporting your family well. I hope your wife can learn from you.
I was hungry and had all these ingredients in my fridge. I made this so quick and it was delicious! I sent this video to my sister and she made it too! She added shrimp in hers and it looked so good!
I just used your recipe tonight and I’m thrilled! I have never made fried rice before, had some left over jasmine rice in the fridge and decided to go for it. We added shrimp and it made a meal. Thank you so much!
@@sabahbacker705 she slips up & speaks perfectly sometimes -- she is fake as hell. I have since unsubscribed & I don't watch this mess anymore. Stay safe during the quarantine.
I love the sense of humor. People take themselves way too serious these days. Also I've used this simple recipe at work and it's a hit! Thanks! I also cook it with sesame oil btw and tastes great!
Thanks for this Dearie, I watched this just before preparing egg fried rice for a Chinese person, they were amazed when I told them I'd learned to do it in 6 minutes. I added also finely chopped radishes and chopped Singaporean vegetarian beef jerky as well as the spring onions 🙏

I think I'm in love! I'm literally a calamity in the kitchen but this is something that even I can do without setting myself or the kitchen on fire. It's soooo delicious! Thanks!
Just made this rice for me and my girlfriend! Paired it with my teriyaki chicken and it was lovely this recipe is one I'll be using a lot, thank you!:)
My mom and I have spent years trying fried rice recipes, but they always fell short. It was always something complicated and time consuming. This was the first one that really worked, and it was the quickest and simplest one! I used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil because it’s all I had, but it worked amazingly! I’ve used this with various rices, and It always turns out great! I just want to say thanks for this great recipe, and I look forward to exploring how to customize it to pair with various dishes:)
I was really missing all the takeout places by my home due to the lock down. I realized I had all the ingredients and oh my gosh this is amazing. I added garlic too!
I love how you make cooking Asian so "doable" at home, your friendly personality and that your non-Asian husband supports you and loves your food! So many refuse to eat our cuisine ... it's sad. Yours is my favorite cooking channel; I may look at others but I always come back to yours. ❤
I love how this is super simple, not some complicated recipe with too many seasonings u ain’t ever even heard of like other videos. Definitely gonna try this! I have everything except green onion (I never buy any, dont care too much for it) pretty sure my kids will like it with just rice & egg anyway.
@tzukishiro or, I care that the people are promoting their food instead of a fake face just making money from it. I thought we left you offended lot in 23.
I just watched this for the first time, and my bf was just telling me to learn how to make egg fried rice. It's simple and easy i love it. Now I will make it, like you did it 💕
