SidTheKid87 The problem with that is, you can't tell if its a steal or not yet. Everything in the Draft is based on what they " COULD" become. We won't know who the steals are for at least a few seasons.
NoahMantle 29 good point, I still think that you can have a general idea on who will turn out to be an NHL player and who wont. For example look at last years draft, Sam Steel and Alex Debricant were probably the 2 best players in the CHL and they were drafted 30th and 57th respectively. Those two players will go on to have solid NHL careers and I would consider them a steal
Those are the kinds of clips that need to be done a year or two after the players make it to the NHL. You can't know if they were a steal until after they've played.
Patrick Eaves had a heck of a season, too. I couldn't believe the Stars traded what would have been their MVP for the season. At least the trade gave Eaves a chance for some playoff experience and occasional ice time as a linemate of Getzlaff and Perry, which is never a bad thing.
are you kidding? Why is Marchessault only an honorable mention? kid had like 3 goals in two seasons and had a 30 goal season this year. Breakout player of the year no questions asked
