It wouldn't be a Talking Sock video if there weren't mention of an obscure franchise, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for another great video!
I've always wanted Star Fox to take a few notes from Kid Icarus Uprising as that game was originally supposed to be a Star Fox game in the first place, plus it would mean we would get another game in that style without it having to be a sequel since Sakurai is not interested in doing that. Edit: Yes, the Like button totally goes "Yeah! Party time!"
9:25 Yeah I'm beginning to think I'm actually Goku from Dragon Ball and I went insane after Kami locked me in the room of spirit and time because he feared my saiyan heritage.
Pikmetroid is an amazing idea! I love the idea of a hocotatian bounty hunter, Nintendo could get really creative with that. Also, Captain Rainbow desperately needs a sequel. Also also, 3:52 Gex reference!?!?
I feel like the donkey Kong franchise has enough characters to where you don’t need the rare characters in a diddy king game just replace them with other Dk characters
The RU-vid algorithm has failed you *and* me, because I've always been a video game talky guy, and I dated a self-described "weird puppet person" (she was not a puppet: she worked at the Center for Puppetry Arts and has recently produced a grant-funded puppet show), so I may now be a weird puppet person, and the humor and gags are (yes, as is mentioned) different from Arlo's but still funny. Not to mention the video game knowledge is 🤌🏿. Liked. Subscribed. Rang the "bell" like you just ate some good curly fries at an Arby's and they gave you a large fry instead of a medium.
Ooh! I loved that concept for a Freaky Forms game in 3D! I think that would work beautifully and be a perfect way to progress the series. It seems like such a natural evolution and would fill any of Nintendo’s future itches for creative games that led to LABO and game builder garage. I also love the idea of a 3D Yoshi game akin to DK64. I’ve never been a fan of the idea of DKC in 3D, and I think that Yoshi could definitely use the shake up in gameplay. An expanded cast for the series could also be great considering how lacking its been since the first Yoshi’s Island. Overall, this was a great video with some great ideas that I think could really lead to come great games if ever put to use!! Good stuff!! :)
But Soooock if Mario Kart takes ideas from another racing franchise it won't be "Mario" kart anymore stop catering to these Nintendo kart idiots ;) Lol at the licensing conundrum. Yes Yoshi collectathon. I think I like the idea of pikmin levels in nintendo locations more than a Pikminvania but it's not a bad idea at all. freakyforms Youniverse sounds to high concept for nintentdo but I'm not opposed. Yes Captain rainbow majoras mask. My suggestions: 1) DK64 again but like actually remembering all the mobility the kongs have in the 2d games, easily the worst thing about that game is how slow and deliberate the kongs feel to control. 2) Luigis Mansion Animal Crossing, seeing that mansion at the end of the first game is cool but what would be cooler would be to actually take the money we've earned and buy the building and furniture to decorate ourselves. Same goes for anything to do with Wario.
@@ATalkingSock Yeah there's some fun to be had there but even when they had actual nintendo games as one of the furniture items, the money building loop was so slow and tedious it wasn't worth the effort.
Hear me out on this one - open world F-Zero. Nintendo already got some experience under their belt with BotW, Mario Odyssey, and Splatoon 2 creating open environments populated with NPCs. Why not extend that to F-Zero? Captain Falcon is a bounty hunter after all. Think of those at-this-point generic city sandbox action games with the F-Zero sci-fi setting and racing mechanics deeply tied into the game. Think of it - not just racing but stuff like spontaneous high speed chases through a populated city that arise naturally from, I dunno, a bank robber with a bounty on his head robbing a bank a kilometer from you. It sounds fairly typical now after years of iteration but Nintendo would know how to do it just right so it feels new and interesting again. And think of the multiplayer potential - not just a racing or action game in its own right which would be fun but perhaps something where you could create your own racer like Splatoon and your own vehicle as well. F-Zero has a huge array of alien species and characters and vehicles so why not make your own personal addition to it? I'm not even a big F-Zero fan, it just seems like the most glaringly obvious way to bring the series back if they don't want it to be another series iteration without innovation. Wouldn't compete directly with Mario Kart while retaining hallmark elements and mechanics but opening up to explore the F-Zero universe and becoming a more attractive title for players not familiar with the series.
Battle Clash with Kid Icarus Uprising's mechanics They were made for each other Nintendo, please it'd be perfect, espeically since you aren't gonna do anything with Sin and Punishment either.
I'd actually like to see Battleclash come back with more modern arcade rail-shooter sensibilities. Like that Terminator one or Time Crisis or House of the Dead
Love to see Tallking Sock coming back! As for Nintendo IPs taking from Other videogames I would say for Fossil Fighters I would want that to take influence from Monster Hunter Stories series I want to ride on my Vivosaur! Imagine how cool it would to ride a T-Rex!
