I like your end of match socials and donkey of the week. Done right with a good laugh. Better than being fined for mistakes. I played in teams where fines were a part of the culture. Not cool. End of day before you get your fines done you pay for: Match fees Transport to get there/fuel Do I need to buy lunch? Teas (some clubs do this and others stopped since covid) Then fines. One for each error. It all adds up in one match. At one club I basically had to pull out of it and refused to pay my fines. Yes they were used for end of season get together etc but then you had to pay for those end of season dinner separate! but it was how a player felt during the match and after which was not considered. You guys do a great social after the game. Keep that up guys ❤️👍🏽

Totally agree, this was a cracking game. Low scores on wicket like this and with bowlers doing their best- will always result in close games. I say well done both teams. Entertainment from local leagues + exciting Ashes test series- what a glorious weekend of cricket.

Interesting to hear the commentary suggest that 6 were scored for the ball hitting the helmet - 5 penalties + the one that was run. Sadly this is a wrong application of the law. The ball becomes dead as soon as the ball hits the helmet and additional runs shall only count if the batters have crossed at the point of ball hitting the helmet. Clearly in this instance the batters had not crossed at point of impact. Only 5 penalties should have been awarded. Luckily it didnt impact the result. Well done on a good win !

When the ball hit the helmet, the ball is dead, 5 penalty runs are awarded, however the run taken should not have been awarded. It was only 5,not 6.

I never liked cricket! Last year I watched a local village team play & got hooked. Call me a philistine but I don't like or understand Test cricket. To me people like Bison et al ARE the game...keep on slugging guys 😊😊😊
