If you want to smell what Vanilla Diorama should have been, check out Alberto Morillas' brand Mizensir and the fragrance is Ambre Magique. Kind of a cross between Ambre Nuit and Vanilla Diorama but smoothed out and tasteful
Hi Eugen ! That was really interesting 😊 I do prefer Patchouli ardent over Bois mystérieux. I found Patchouli ardent less complex, maybe more generic somehow but it seems to be working much better on my skin. Sometimes what we like is not what our skin likes. Also Australian sandalwood seems to be the only type my skin tolerates and doesn't transform into cat pee 😑 It's quite frustrating sometimes when you smell something on paper and loves it, then put it on skin and wants to rub it so hard you could peel your skin off 🤣 Oh and I love Bottega veneta fragrances. I have many from them and indeed so underrated. Great work from Michel Almairac ❤
I will have to have a think about this one! I agree about Layton, I am not a fan of either the original of the exclusive version, like you say that mainstream syrup creamy sweetness overload, harsh and fake, very sickly.
It seems ambre fetiche would fit the definition of fragrances you love. Same thing happened with me regarding layton/Layton exclusif after liking them for a while . Yes bottega veneta is one of my favourite female marketed fragrances and it smells unisex .

amazing that 2 (au hasard and dior parfum) of your 5 disliked perfumes were 2 perfumes that I also remember disliking, and I'm not a pro perfumer so I have not smelled a lot of them
Glad to hear somebody besides me finds Layton disgusting! After thousands of dollars spent on perfumes, I have narrowed my search to woody, spicy, smokey and balsam notes.
Based on a few videos I've seen on your channel I thought you would be an Amouage lover but I couldnt find anything from Amouage on your channel. You don't like them?
My five hates: Black Afgano (i almost vomited), Sauvage (trendy douche garbage), Layton (simply disgusting sweet fruity nonsense, possible clone), YSL Y edp (my most hated fragrance of all time), Allure Homme Sport ("vile garbage" like you called it, overpriced deodorant basically) My five loves: 2004-2014 Dior privees (cheating a little bit), Cartier Declaration, Armani Prive Oud Royal (western oud par excellence), LIDG edt (first metrosexual frag, before DH even, a masterpiece), Gucci Envy (greatest designer frag ever imo)
