Eugen, I love how sincere you are about how you feel towards perfumes and your experiences like your colleague with leather oud. This is what distinguishes you from others and it's the reason you're my favourite Fragcomm person to listen to. Please never lose it.
A couple of years ago during the start of the pandemic, Tam Dao was the first perfume to make me understand the appeal of fragrances. Recommendations from channels like yourself has really helped me develop my nose and understand my preferences. It's still a beautiful scent.

Black Tie is also edging its way up there, I wear it quite often. Will go try, and most likely pick up, Bois Dormant soon.

Love that vintage Obsession bottle. 🧡 And I felt the same way the first time I smelled Vetiver edt. 😄 Ultimately, it was that video that you did with Maria where she smelled some of your Guerlains that somehow turned the tide. I don't know why, but that decision to stick it out with Guerlain somehow had more meaning for me than any prior influence accompanied by clapping and spinning. 😄 Something to be grateful for as we move into the autumn transition. 🙏
Santal Pao Rosa reminds me too much of pickles, and add some roses to the mix. I prefer the deconstructivist aesthetic of Santal 33, it feels like that unpolished style aligns more with what they were going for when making it. But this video did make me want to revisit Bel Respiro, so i think i need to buy myself a decant very soon.
Some stupendous choices, Eugen. I love that you came around to Guerlain Vetiver. It's in my top 10 of all time (Guerlain seems to take up a lot of real estate at the top!). I agree as well, that Guerlain reformulations are nothing to fret about. Bois Mysterieux is a great pick as well. You've inspired me to give in and make Top 10s myself!
The noses behind Obsession and Eternity are French tho. Original Polo and Escape women as well. I love Bois D'Argent & Bel Ami Vetiver... and Black Tie is amazing. Truly amazing imo...Love it
My friends and I started wearing the female form of Obsession in the late 80’s. It was our first crossover perfume. At the time it felt revolutionary. Amazing fragrance.
Back to your old style videos. Congrats on the success of your perfume. Lately wearing Andrea Maack’s Coven. Have you tried it? Doing a lot of Egoiste, too, as it’s easy going at work where I’m not supposed to wear perfume.
Check out Ambre Magique by Mizensir, Alberto Morillas' brand. It's what Vanilla Diorama should have been. Bridges the gap between something like Ambre Nuit and Mitzah. Smells like ambergris with rose dipped in a milky/sawdusty textured vanilla

Santal 33. I regret purchasing that. Although I’m not saying I will never like it. If Santal 33 was a person, it’s someone who is jobless and lives in the basement of his grandma’s house.
