I would love to go back to Amonkhet. Really felt like people didn't appreciate the set because of their hatred of invocation cards, but the set was amazing and had a lot of support for creature types and mechanics that generally don't get a lot of love in other sets.
New Capenna suffered a lot from external factors. We really need a three block set for that world that can explore the deeper conflicts between the mobs and how the “law” of the world deals with them.
Next year we have a return to Tarkir in April and a return to Lorwyn in autumn, and in 2026 the first expansion is a return to Strixhaven(Arcavios). Even the first expansion of 2025 features three planes, two of then never revisited and one never featured in a premier set, so a lot of returns!
If we return to Ikoria (which I really hope happens) the story should be about a group of Bonders (Some new to their relationship & some veteran bonders with a long term connection to their monster) they should be either trying to evade or track down a group of extremist Monster Hunters. Maybe led by Chevil (and we get a new version of him). They should either be trophy hunters or hunters who are trying to rid Ikoria of monsters. I'd love for them to print the other 5 color combinations (Esper, Grixis, Jund, Naya & Bant) of a Human & Monster with "Partner with" mechanic. It would be very cool to see what type of interactions the designers could come up with and finally, we could get new versions of the Apex creatures and see how they mutated during the Phyrexian invasion. (They said during the stories that when the Phyrexians attacked the monsters, they instantly mutated into a creature that could withstand the oil defensively & grew weapons to be able to fight them off.) Theoretically, on Ikoria a monster can mutate into something that doesn't even look like the creature, from when before it changed. We could get cards of all the Apex Creatures & they could look and be totally different.
@@PubStompMTG I have got to give credit to my Brother. He ran a D&D campaign for 5e. We all had our regular classes from the normal game but were all bonders. (Some players chose for their character to be a new bonder while others, like our sorcerer & cleric were veterans) We all got to design our monster & how it looked & it was his story that were we bounty hunters for the town of Skysail (Floating city mentioned in Ikoria's book. Held up by air balloons and it moves throughout the plane.) Brallin the jeskai bonder with Shabraz the skyshark was the constable that gave us the bounties for the poachers/trophy hunters who sold animal parts to warlocks & collectors. I was an Artificer for the game & had my Raccoon Dragon type of Monster that I named Jesper, who was just large enough to fly with me on his back but just sneaky enough to steal things I needed for inventions. My brother allowed me to have some homebrew inventions where I could create things & incorporate the crystals that glow when monsters (besides your companion) are around & I made saddles for those of us with large beast & even made a jacket with a sort of handle on its back for our Ranger who had a Gorilla (with a unicorn horn) that was large enough to pick him up by the handle and carry him. It was a fun campaign & midway through I started thinking about the other 3-colors that didn't get bonders and what they could do. If you haven't you should google Ikoria Concept art & Planeswalker's guide to Ikoria. There is so much more cool info about the plane and the art is amazing. Some bonders will dress or dye their hair to match their monsters and Kinnan, who isn't mentioned at all in the story I think, is rare, he can bond or has bonded with multiple monsters.
I really hate we’re told what Phyrexia converted but not give a a card like we got a dinosaur but not a dragon like come on and yeah great planes that only got 1 set really needed more set treatment we got a murder set noir style and they put it on ravnica a lot of new planes need a revisit
What do you think about ninjutsu and the Commander Yuriko? Do you have a Deck List for a good yuriko deck (Full power) And I have a sec. Question do you make also modern Decks/Videos I am new in mtg I like dimir my First Deck is dimir rogue with the r. Crab is there a dimir rogue Commander and if Yes how strong is it cause I will try cedh so the compettetive side Of the Game I Hope you can understand my Bad english 😅
Yutiko is pretty powerful. I do not have a yutiko decklist. I focus solely on commander, so unfortunately, not modern. There typically just blue crab commanders like charix the raging isle. Have a great day!
