I’ve tried so many recipes for chocolate chip cookies. But no one comes close to your recipe. I will never go back to using chocolate chips. Cutting up your own chocolate is so much better. It’s a five star recipe for me. ❤️❤️❤️
These chocolate chip cookies are THE BEST! It is a family favorite. We make them a few times a month. The tips and tricks really do make the difference. THANK YOU!
Your chocolate chip cookie recipe really is the BEST! It's the only one I use. I searched so long for a cookie that has the texture that I want, and when your recipe came out last year, I looked at the pictures and knew I had to give it a go. It's so simple and comes out perfect every time! My absolutely ideal chocolate chip cookie 😆💖Thank you!
This is my daughters favourite recipe of yours, I always have some in the freezer for lunch boxes. Plus her friends always ask for them. Love these new tips, thank you

This video was so much needed as my sister was trying to start her own cookie business ;) thank you so much Gemma! P.s: guys if you have a name suggestion for the shop please don’t be shy! :D
A cookie business sounds wonderful!! What kind of cookies will she be making? I'm really bad with coming up with names for things😂 the only thing that I came up with, that doesn't even sound that great is, Delightful Bites. Hope the business goes well!👍🏻😄
Ashley's little nook on RU-vid ooh this is sooo sooo sweet of you!! Thank you so much! I actually like that name!! I will let her know! Thanks again hun😘💕
Hi Gemma! This video comes at the perfect time for me!🙆♀️ Right now in my fridge, there is a double batch of this very dough aging! My niece Sevda graduated from Pre-K last Friday. The poor love cried almost through the whole thing, even as she was singing the songs. It is not in her nature to openly show emotions like that. I was not able to be there so I wanted to do something really special for her. We are having a tea party with pink cupcakes and your best ever chocolate chip cookies💕💕! I will be sure to follow the rest of your tips when baking❤. Thank you Gemma, you touch our lives in so many ways. As you may or may not have imagined, the cupcakes are from your recipe. It's from a while ago I think they are called pink lemonade. Forgive my memory. Sorry as always for the long post. Much love❤❤👩🍳
here’s the recipe from the website! 1 cup (8oz/225g) butter 1¼ cups (7 1/2oz/212g) light brown sugar ¾ cup (6oz/170g) white granulated/caster sugar 2½ cups (12 1/2oz/354g) all-purpose flour/plain flour 1½ teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 large eggs* 2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional, but encouraged) 2 cups (12oz/340g) bittersweet chocolate chunks
Thanks Gemma! The best oats cookies recipe ever I was given by one of my Irish friends while I was living in Ireland. Sure I could only survive with bread, cookies and cakes 😋❤💚
Hey dear i tried ur best ever chocolate chip cookies and they turned out amazing 🤩🤩🤩 thank u sooooo much.... evryone at home loved it and im dancing of joy 🤩🤩🤩🤩 thank u
I've made this recipe multiple times & it does make for delicious, bakery quality cookies! Rave reviews from all my family & friends who've tried them! The one thing I'd like to share is that simply scooping the chilled/aged dough is NOT going to happen. As you mention, the butter solidifies & makes it nearly impossible to shape into balls straight out of the fridge. I don't know how you manage to get your 1/4 cup measure through chilled dough but I could not. I have since chosen to shape the cookies as soon as the dough comes together & chill/age the already formed dough. They do sometimes need a bit of reshaping when it comes time to bake them off but the warmth of my hands is just enough to get them together & they are quickly popped into the oven.
I’ve been bin watching all your videos and have enjoyed each. I have already made your oatmeal pancakes as I am a sucker for pancakes and yours are delicious and once your very cute relative mentioned your chocolate chip cookies I just had to watch so today this is my goal to make this scrumptious recipe. Thank you
I'd love to see a video where you compare the flavors and textures of your different chocolate chip cookie recipes! Crazy Cookie Dough vs. Best Ever vs. Internet's Best Chewy, etc. It's hard for me to know what makes them different. 💖
Hi Jessica. Texture and flavor among these recipes vary. Those are the main differences. Some use oil, others butter, even olive oil. The amount may vary for some ingredients as those are what gives a different texture of sweetness.
Another is dusting blueberries, raspberries or any other open wet fruits like peaches or apples, and combined them in your muffin, cupcake or pancake batter. Eventually the fruits won't bleed while they are cooking or baking. I got this tip from a chef from Berkeley's Bette Oceanview Diner cookbook. It works! and taste even delicious.
Mmmh...I love these cookies. Crispy on the outside and chewy inside. Sono celestiali. Thank you so much for the 5 secrets. Un bacio dall' Italia👄 Ciaooo Gemma.😍😛
Secret no. 6: brown your butter! You will never go back to the “old” recipe, that is a promise. Chocolate chip cookie with browned butter will win every time.🍪 ✨🙋🏻♀️
Looking for chocolate chip cookie recipe for our next baking with my mo and this looks so good! Hope we can recreate this well. Thanks for the recipe. 😊
Hi Gemma! It's me again! I love your recipes and I've never failed any of your recipes! They've always turned out great. Say, since this cookie is one of your most famous recipes. I don't have bittersweet chocolate, should I substitute it with milk or dark? It's the only thing I have here
I tried with your tips of egg less.. Its worth👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Thank you so much..🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 My this attempt is good..👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 May I improve as I practice for it more..😍😍😍😍😍 Again all credit goes to you😍😍😍😍😍
Another tip is if you want cookies that are in between the elasticity. I suggest using 60% cake flour and 40% bread flour. You'll get a chewy cookie on the center and kind of crispy around the edges. Thanks for the tip about aging cookies - yeah those cookies are great when aged for 3 days or more.
Hi Shaheena! I have heard many Bold Bakers say that it makes the cookies even better. I have yet to try it! www.biggerbolderbaking.com/best-ever-chocolate-chip-cookies/
So yuummmmy. 💓 It took me a year to get a decent cookie down ahh haha. I will take any little tip i can get. Are you going to do a pro chef secrets one for brownies? I have a feeling that's going to take me a while too 😅
I made chocolate chip cookies with the help of your recipe today only. I followed the recipe but found that my cookies were not rising much but when I added cocoa powder in the other batch then the cookies rose very beautifully. It tasted so so so good. The chocolate chunks didn’t melt much. I think they were lacking cocoa butter.
Melting would really depend on the quality of the chocolate you've used. Take a look at my ultimate chocolate guide to help you with choosing your chocolate for next time www.biggerbolderbaking.com/types-of-chocolate-guide/
