I like your honesty in admitting that ..hey it's a lot of money. Then you drop the reality that you worked out of two boxes UNTIL YOU COULD AFFORD IT! You obviously work hard and are a professional and deserve the fruits of your labor. I am surprised that the drawers are not soft closed. Happy New Year and a prosperous 2020 to you and your family.

@JRC54, Great info on the Epiq ! I am a Snap On Fan, but damn the price is Crazy. I've been considering an 84 Epiq for a year or so, but I think it will be at least another year or more if I do get one. I want to concentrate on getting my Tool collection built up more. As you know well, the Tools are the Important part, the Tools are what make you money. Like you said you worked out 2 Craftsman Boxes for years. I'm working out of a US General Series II Box & Service Cart, decent Box. It does its job of keeping my Snap On, and other brand Tools stored, organized, and safe. I don't mind having a cheaper Box, because it is allowing me to keep building a collection of Quality Tools. Love your channel Man, so keep up the Great Work!

Love the honesty. I bought a 144" black and plum crazy purple epiq 3 years ago. Worst thing about mine is the weight and size to move. My box weights 5700lbs. But as for you're complaints I tottaly agree with a lot.

I love those tall power drawers over the small one like i have in my matco 6s, also that snap on scanner would be great to replace the "brick" i have!

Just got my epic over the summer, I put electric tape over the magnets on the locker. They still stay closed & you don't need to jerk the locker door open anymore

Definitely helped with my decision, thank you. I have no issues with paying a premium price tag, but I better be getting a superior product.

I prefer the older top like your’s, mine’s got some tear out on a few places and some bubbles from someone putting something hot on there too. One day I’ll break down and peal it all off and get the guys at Line-X to re-spray it for me 👍 I prefer the power drawer like you have myself and told my dealer if he ever gets one on trade in I want first dibs on it 🤞 In the shop I’m in I would love to have a larger box than my 55” Snap-On Classic but I have to keep it mobile. Depending on what I’m working on or what we’re bringing into the shop I’ve got about 60x140 of floor space to work in on everything from hand tool rebuilds right up through our 850 ton cranes, and everything in between. Love the videos and the honest reviews, keep them coming brother and Happy New Year 🎉

yeah it's definitely frustrating how a black out husky box is 700-900 dollars and it has soft closing draws and snap on boxes are 5,000+ and it doesn't have soft closing

After owning 5 US General boxes and a couple of their carts, I was in the market for a new big box and eagerly waited a long time for the Icon boxes to come out anticipating getting a big bad ass box for cheap. I was impressed with the Icon boxes, options and colors but I was blown away with the prices. So I did something I said I would never ever do, I purchased a SnapOn Master series box and I absolutely love it but I’m having some drawer hanging up issues. Also came with 2 scratches and no bolts for the handle. A little disappointing but the box is nice. Appreciate the honesty you.

I got a Masters series box myself and while there are some little things that irk me about it like soft closed drawers and other such things in general I'm very happy with it. A significant upgrade over my old craftsman box I had previous. I'm thinking about seeing about retrofitting in some soft close slides like from matco or something. I imagine the sliders are pretty universal.

Those older style power drawers make a lot more sense to me. I've been eyeing a 68" that's posted for a great price but the family comes first.

I agree with the liner stuff they are putting on the boxes. Comes standard with the boxes in the UK and I've changed the top one 2 twice already.

One of the main reasons I haven't upgraded to the epiq is because they dont have the soft closing drawers. Absolutely love my co workers husky toolbox with the soft closing drawers

Those are some good points on a box that big. I wished they would put soft close on the boxes as well. On the locker magnets you could always glue a thin felt material on them to help with that and they would still look nice. Maybe I’ve missed a daily cart tour but I did see your verus edge work station and your big tool box tour, I’ve noticed that some guys are going back to the smaller 40” tool boxes as daily use roller instead of the roll cart style so that may help with some of the battery power tool box cluster? Just my thought on it beings you have a ton of battery tools. Nice video and awesome give away for someone that needs it!

I absolutely hate the way my drawers close on my brand new epiq! They haven't changed man and yes my full length drawers shimmy when opening and closing also and drive me crazy. I actually was happier with my old classic triple as far as the drawer issues go but the extra space is awesome! Thanks for the review!

Mac has the soft close drawers as well. Wish snap had that option as well. Your box is still a beast.

I run a motorcycle shop and just bought a Husky box and Hutch almost solely because of the soft close drawers. I can't live without them. Clearly the husky box is not professional grade, but for the price I'm happy. I really have a hard time considering buying a professional grade box until they offer soft close drawers. With that being said your box is incredible!!!

I’m contemplating getting back into the industry after this move from VA to FL and wanting to possibly upgrade from my KRA which is FILLED to an epiq now I’m really second guessing it because of the transparency. I couldn’t pay $20k+ for a setup that’s had corners cut or ideas not thought about by “professionals”. Thanks for the content.

I know what you mean about things matching. I have a 100th anniversary box and when I bought it 12 months ago there were no side cabs or overhead risers with the matching copper trim. Not an issue at the moment but when it comes to expanding I want the new to match the old. Hopefully something becomes available. . . . . . .

Hey - Good video... when you mentioned OCD I have one you forgot to mention.......SOUND !.........The sound of the plastic latches hitting when closing the drawers.I have a Masters series and still I cant stand the sound of the drawers on the epics and also you have very valid points.But that is a Nice set up/color nonetheless... To the scanner.....You know that guy sold that scanner as any POS would and didnt appreciate your generosity.

You could always move the back 2 casters off the 68 up to the 84 so you would see matching ones. I hate the no soft close too

I hear you on the casters.. I got 4 new casters and didn't ask the price before ordering them. I didn't think they would be over 100 bucks each. WOW!!! To my surprise those stickers were a little more than 300 each!!! Didn't even get any lube with that one!!!

I love the soft close feature on my Husky. Don't blame you for checking out the prize winners. If somebody is lucky enough to get ANY tool for free, they should show the giver appreciation. I know it won't be me. No Instagram. And I am just switching careers from framing houses to mechanics. Still in school. Diagnostic class was my least favorite so far. Still if I was ever given a scanner, I would do everything in my power to show my gratitude. Also I like the honest opinion on the box. Nice to hear somebody that owns a big one talk about the downsides.

that tool box looks amazing you must have some people working for you to be able to use so many tools.

I’ve got a 60in SnapOn Epiq with hutch and side locker. The guy that bought it originally paid close to 30k for it. I bought it off offerup from him for 8k. Still a lot, but it is nice. Love the space and the heavy duty build (I could walk up the drawers like stairs if I wanted lol).

would be nice if they came with at least a small touch up paint included. And I am 100% with you on the slam and wobbly doors

My full length drawers do some weird shit too seems like one side opens a little further than the other. Might finally ask my dealer about it but seems like im not the only one with drawer issues. Still love it though.

My personal experience with the craftsman soft close drawer is when u put any amount of weight in them the soft close block breaks. Not to mention the craftsman and husky and hf boxes are only 24 deep. I have never seen a box as full as yours. That's a lot of weight in that box. Maybe u need to just ad on lol

On my epiq I have the same issues and they get on my nerves I also have a draw which catches another when I open it because of the weight I guess but should be able to take it as for the top your right it’s paper thin mines chipped already and once it chips it just crumbles away forever after might buy the stainless top instead

I went with classic insteed if masters or epic it's still snap on the box name I wanted but at least its better than what I started with

@JRCR4 I had the same problem with my casters and its not just cosmetic, the new design casters are also taller. I originally had a 84 cab with a locker and hutch. Later when i bought another locker and 2 overheads 1 of the overheads wouldn't line up correctly, The overhead sitting on top of the new locker with the new casters and the hutch on the 84 sitting on the old casters. i had no problem with the other new overhead sitting on the old locker and hutch with old casters, the problem was just on the side with new caster. so i measured the height from the floor to the side of the lockers and there was a 1/4 inch difference between the right and left sides. i called up snap on and got the 6 old designs caster warrantied for the new ones and 100% fixed my problem

That's a really nice scanner. Whoever wins that, should definitely be grateful and feel lucky lol I been a lube tech at a Ford dealership for 2 years now. I'm looking to further my career and learn more to become a regular technician. I know I'm not worthy of winning it though lol

I bought a us general 72 and took the emblems out. Then found a real snap on emblem and now I got a snap on. People don’t know....unless they have the real thing.

Since it's semi permanent remove a couple of magnets on the lockers. if your going to keep it upgrade your guides to HD soft close.

Agree the prices are ridiculous and it sure as hell doesn't take long to fill them up...have the Master Series w/hutch & top locker and its already full to the max in less than 2 years...but they do hold up better compared to the Matco and Cornwell...buddy bought a Matco 6S and has had to warranty drawer slides, a caster and a hutch cylinder already

Number 5 seems across the board. I have a 84" Cornwell Custom, which was their top of the line a year ago. They came out with the Platinum this year, now I can't get side lockers, hutches because the design of the Platinum is different. Not to mention they no longer offer the same colors. Now I have a blue toolbox, with a black side locker that doesn't mount correctly.. I can upgrade to a 84" Platinum, for another $6,000. Debating upgrading to a EPIQ.

If a toolbox, garage, house, shed, etc doesn't work the way I like it, I just make it how I would like it.

My new cart has the new style rhino lining it's been tough as nails so far. A lot easier to clean that the older style like yours.

My father spent roughly 30gs on his snap on box and had too retire at 36 due to heart problems. Now it sits in storage
