Top 5 not so great buys of 2019
Although I got these tools this year I can't say there "bad tools" just tools that I don't or didn't need, tools I could have found a alternative to suit my needs or upgrades that I could have done with out.
1. 18v light CTLFD8850
2. Wireless Test Light EECT200
3. Thermal Imager Elite EETH310
4. 1/2 Brushless Impact CT9075
5. Oil Pressure Kit EEPV507
Always do your homework when buying tools.
Don't be impulsive, Ask yourself these questions.
1. Do I really need this?
2. How often will I use it?
3. Is there a cheaper or alternative one?
4. Will this make my job easier?
5. Can I do without?
Of course there can be more questions to ask your self like will the tool pay for itself over time. as far as tool upgrades same applies but DO YOUR RESEARCH!
Below I have a few non snap on alternatives to the tools in video..

well he also owns a shop so getting the nicest tools possible isnt a bad idea when its vacumed out of your taxes
@hhattingh
@hhattingh 3 года назад
@@precesionnoreaster1507 Ditto! He deliberately buys the most expensive tools with the best resale value for his shop, its only clever. He can calculate quarterly taxes based of a quick P&L statement and load up on expenses based on his previous forecasts to the cent in ehat he needs to dodge crazy taxes. Because he pays quarterly taxes on forecasted numbers anyways. The residual amount on this stuff is miniscule after depreciation and is worthless on paper yet they have not lost their warranties or real useful value in ex. five years. He sells the business and he's business is litterally re-valued on what is in that tool box at MSRP, (Which is pretty good for second hand Snap On) add his forecasted income for the next 5 years, discount it back using IRR and inflation, reverse interest and depreciation and add offcourse whether or not he owns the building. Boom! He uses that as his intrinsic value of the business and the next guy will finance and buy everything back from him at said value because that is the amount the bank is willing to finance for. The next guy uses that same loan amount and start same process all over again by depreciating it over 10 years. If he should choose he likes something he even has the option not to load his expenses with depreciation and place it under operating expenses by invoking article 179 and write items of as business expenses 100% in the first year of use. He can then buy it back/ sell it to himself for personal use for bloody pennies if he wants to, and repeat the whole process again. No IRS agent will even flinch if he does that as long as he has the paperwork to back it up and stays consistent. Because it is all legal and available to everyone. Make no mistake this guy is no fucking fool. This guy has a plan. Remember poor people always pay twice. This guy technically does, and does not, own those tools. His business does. He owns the business, therefore making the tools his. This bloke is still young so he can run his business literally at minimum profit for as ling as he wants because reall assets and forecasted revenue is only considered in calculating intrinsic value using profit/revenue from previous five years for a small business. Nah these other guys see a grease monkey with a hard on for Snap On because that is essentially what they themselves are. In other words they are just projecting. This is a pretty clever bloke that people mistakenly under estimate because he chose not to wear a bloody suit. Well...that is just my .02.

Snap-on makes rubber covered magnets that screw in the 4 corners of the bottom of the light. Costs about $30 for 4 of them if I remember right. I have them for my light. Definitely makes it more useful.

I was very shocked at the price of snap ons new 1/2" impact. I needed a new one and I bought the Milwaukee 2864 high torque 3/4dr impact and it's a beast. If I need it to be 1/2 I just put on a reducer and reduce the power with the one key app. Got the kit for $441 and it has 1500ft-lbs of torque. Definitely my best buy this year. Sorry about your bad buys brother. Either way great video!

I’ve have my 3/8 18 volt for 5 year the battery works like it’s new. Try doing that with a snap on battery. I do like snap on tools there just lacking on impacts and let’s not talk about the price.
