I have recently bought an F30 318d in Germany for a bit more than 10k, brought it back to Italy :). 2014 model with 150.000 km, manual transmission. It drives so smooth, fuel Economy it’s great! Not the fastest one but it’s fun to drive, and in my opinion one of the most beautiful BMWs ever in terms of design.
I drive 335i xdrive every single day. Awesome experience, nothing big problems. No engine or transmission issues. Got around 125k and now almost to 180k
100% the g20 reminds me too much of like a Toyota or something. It’s strange how much of a difference smoother curves and the grille can make. I feel like the F30 grille looks iconic where as the G20 looks very forgettable and the grille on it looks more like a fad than an icon if that makes any sense. Although I do like the rear end of the g20, but that’s about it.
F30 best 3 series design since e46. My FBO 335i with bilstein coilovers is blast to drive, I do agree handling is very good. I think there is no better car for the price.
Totally agree. Plenty of power for commuting and spirited driving along with a stiff chassis to match. Three things mainly holding the car back are the s***** RFTs that come stock, underperforming pads and fluids, and a lack of LSD.
True. Couldn’t have said it better. I think the F30 335i is a really good balance. Haven’t swapped in coilover but I have the msport suspension. I am pretty happy with it for comfort and reasonable handling for what it is.
Couldn't agree more! The car looks absolutely stunning and just needs some minor upgrades like, Brakes, Tires, Maybe shocks! 335i & 340i would be the perfect daily IMO
Had the F30 328i since early Nov '22, love it awesome drive! Really enjoy driving it on the New Zealand road here! And yes F30 looks better than G20 imho

F30 is the best i own a BMW f30 318d 2012 and i love it, easy to drift and i 1.98cm and i have a friend he is 2.05cm the room is the best ind siden the car 😎👍
Agree with everything minus the handling. It’s somewhat disappointing because of the loose steering feel and the body roll. These can be remedied with a strut brace and coil overs though, but there still isn’t any steering feedback.
Agree with u that F30 is a good deal now. However in my country, decent 5yrs F30 we can only get 318i or 330e which either less power or risky battery replacement. 320i or 330i are much older models (2015 and before) which is touching 8-9yrs car! Is sad they went that direction. Not much decent choices in my opinion
I have question. Isn't this model included into top 10 cars to avoid when buying used car (with pretty big arguments also). Specially 328i and 330i. I'm so confused now so would like an explanation since I would really like to have this car
Mileage wise what can you get out of a f30 335i? Like they just 100k car and trash or people hitting 200k I realize it’s relatively speaking but I am in the market and wanna know what to expect
@@AJDrives I will have to go for 316-320D/i with fully m-sport modified and maybe tune/chip it up so it have atleast 150-180hp if needed. I will eventually upgrade to 328i if not 330e in future but at the moment i need to stay budget friendly. They are quite expensive in scandinavic country's compared to lets say US.
@@Technotronidon't consider 316i, at least 320d/320i or above. 328i is a good choice but soon you will find it hard to get a 328i that is less than 10 years old and hasn't been abused... perhaps consider a b48 if budget allows
G20 design had to be close to the G30 or G80, i don't like the G20 design neither the interior, this is why i would upgrade to a G30, F30 is still a impressive design and quite up to date still.

Scrap yards. I did that when I bought my 2015 F30 last year. Some interior pieces weren’t upto scratch. I even managed to upgrade my cupholders to LCI ones so I could get wireless charging.

@@vamshikrishnaGVK Lol well not just any scrap yard. I guess India is different. We have “breakers” advertising on facebook marketplace and gumtree all the time that they are “ stripping F30 for spares” or any other car. These would have usually been in an accident before. Some local shops sell second hand BMW spares only, etc.
I don't think BMW still make n20 nor 328i after 2015. After 2015 Nov, all are b48 engine with 320i/330i/340i. And if you have the budget always go for the b48 engine.
The f30 is the last generation that truly follows BMW's classic design language (amber instrument clusters, four round xeon headlamps, 2 piece kidney grill, etc). The newer generations threw all of that to the wind and so they no longer look like BMWs but rather seems like that they are trying to look like Lexus's. I don't even think that the LCI headlamps look good. The aggressive look of the Xeons with the LED angle eyes on the F30 look so much better. I sincerely hope BMW goes back to the classic design language and stop making the kidney grilsl look so big and ugly.
F30 is a very good car, the 3 series is the best sports sedan/limuzine in the world. But don’t be silly man the only reason you would say that F30 is more beautiful than G20 is cause you can’t afford the new model. That’s fine, I do understand that. But that’s no reason do be dishonest with yourself 😊. Also your choice of engine in one of the best drivers cars in this world immediately tells me you’re clueless. But that’s nothing new there are many like you. At least you recognise this car is the king in it’s class. 😊
I wouldn't judge someone so fast! EVEN if I wanted to spend the extra money, I would spend just a little bit more to go for a F80 or F82. It's okay if you like the G20, but don't try to project that feeling on others and come into judgement about their financial situation. Just because something is newer, Doesn't mean that it automatically looks better in everyone's opinion. I think the E92 3 series looks amazing. Does it mean that if I buy one I'm too broke for the F30? No. It only means that I like the E92 and wanted to have one! About my choice of engine, What would you have recommended since you aren't so clueless?
The F30 does look better than the G20. Get over yourself and don't judge. I have an F30. And yes I can afford a G20 but choose to keep the F30. Give me an analogue dash any day over a fully digital dash...
