What happened to the antlers? they went from /mu/core to who?-core (thank you I came up with that myself). But seriously, I find it interesting how the reputation of Hospice went from a /mu/ essential to mostly forgotten and lowkey hated by /mu/ for being "emotionally dishonest" within a few years. they kind of come off as brooklyn hipsters trying to ape phil elverum. However I listened to it in full once about a decade ago and remember really liking it.
The guy was really caught off guard by his fame, given that Hospice was mostly real details about his life and he burnt out pretty quickly afterwards. Hipster tastes have changed but that's always going to be an album that means a lot to a few
@@HowardHandsTV I listened to it again last night, it's still really good and very sad which is why I think /mu/ liked it so much originally. It's interesting what you say about burning out, Because I bet if Joshua broke up the antlers after hospice the album's reputation would fare much better.
