I am so thankful for you Kris...I discovered your channel about a year ago upon the recommendation of my bible study leader. She knew what I needed and precisely when I needed help. I am happy to report that I have been successfully navigating the formerly co-dependent, toxic narcissism seas with my elder sister. Your provision of bible passages and direct approach to calling out the nonsense have directly impacted my life so positively. My sister is still malignantly narcissistic, and I am a healthier, happier version of who God intended me to be. God bless you always. Much gratitude, CrisAnn

1. Is there only one god, or are there multiple gods? If multiple, how is a person to choose which deserves obedience? 2. Would you agree that before anything can exist, something has to create it? Did your god create everything? If yes, who/what created your god? 3. Is your god infallible? 4. Is your god omnipotent? 5. Is your god omniscient? 6. Is your god benevolent, or malicious? 7. If your god cannot make mistakes, then it follows that everything it creates is either perfect, or that your god intentionally makes things that are flawed. Would a benevolent god intentionally create something likely to suffer because of its flaws? 8. If your god can do anything, and it created the universe, why didn't it simply create a perfect world inhabited by perfect beings? If your god wanted obedience, and god is not malicious, why did god make disobedience possible? 9. If your god knows everything, does it already understand every thought and feeling you have? Does it instantaneously know everything you say and do? If yes, what is the point of religious rituals, such as prayer? 10. Why would an omnipotent and omniscient god not communicate directly and unambiguously with individuals, with no need of books, churches, prophets, signs, miracles, etc? If a person is not intelligent enough, or not "worthy" enough to speak directly with god, whose fault is that? Who made the person in the first place? If a person is unworthy or incapable of directly communicating with god, how can that person be capable of recognizing a valid spokesperson for god? 11. Think about the person/people who convinced/persuaded/ordered you to believe in a version of god. Are they infallible? Is it at all possible for them to tell you something they sincerely believe, but for that thing they tell you to be actually incorrect? 12. Are feelings reliable tools to guide actions? Suppose I hear a person in my neighborhood talking a lot about the presence of violent break in robberies nearby, and I get apprehensive. I am convinced by the passion my neighbor puts into this story, even though I've seen no tangible evidence. That night, I hear a noise. I FEEL certain that it is a robber breaking in to harm my family. I get out of bed, pull a pistol from the bedside table. Without opening the bedroom door, I shoot through it to get the robber. When I open the door, there is my son, lying dead on the floor from my bullet. I was sure. I relied on my feelings. My fear of a robber. My hope of being a defender father. Feelings, not facts. Was that a good way to live my life? 14. Do you deny that religion (superstition, irrational behavior) is the root cause of most human conflict in history, that for centuries millions have been tortured and murdered "because god told me to do it"? 13. Suppose a person has a book full of maps to guide a group journey. They rely upon it, but the group is perpetually lost. You question the book, but your friend insists that the book is accurate. "How do you know?" you ask. They reply, "I know that this book is accurate and perfect, because it says so in the book." Your friend insists that the book is information from an expert, the greatest authority.....but some other people wrote the book, based on their INTERPRETATION of the map expert.....but that is okay, because of how passionately they shout about their version of the maps, and how strongly it makes your friend feel. When you show them hundreds of self contradictions in the book, they get upset and say that you are just not reading the book correctly. Which person is messed up? You, or the book fanatic? How do you justify cherry picking which parts of the bible to follow? Which parts of Leviticus do you obey, and which parts do you ignore? 14. If the point is to die and go to heaven, why not simply commit mass suicide and get it over with? Christ was quite literally a kamikaze; is that what you preach should be emulated in daily life? 15. Why is it necessary to use superstition and irrationality to justify your practical principles? Why treat humans like a donkey in need of the stick of hell and the carrot of heaven? If you want positive secular behavior, why not justify that behavior in practical terms? Why treat adults as if they were ignorant little children that can be frightened and bribed?

I was raised a Christian. I also was a Boy Scout and loved it. I made a mistake in translation. "A Scout is Trustworthy". I assumed incorrectly that other people might be trustworthy also. That caused problems of confusion when people realized I was a trusting guy. As I studied the Bible I realized that God never asks us to trust people. "The heart of man is wicked...". Once I realized that I started telling people "NO" a lot. In AA guys would try to move onto and into my home. I helped one 'kid' I thought was 18 years old. I found out he was a conniving, low life, thieving baby at 32 years old. I could go on about this subject and have been assigned names such as "Marks a dog!" because I no longer went with the "people are trustworthy' nonsense. Now I have enemies. One group accused me publicly of being a predator, they were projecting their dirty minds onto my mind. I left those people behind. I've read 2 Tim 3 many times now and use that as a guide in dealing with people, not completely but it is highly useful, there is a reason God tells us to stay away from such people. As President Reagan said, "Trust but verify."

Ugh goodness… #4 really hit home with me. Is it possible that a person can EVER really get over this sort of behavior? My mother was very controlling and didn’t like me most of the time, so people pleasing was my way of survival. With that being said, I really hate how ungodly this is and it makes me sad that I am this way. It sorta feels like I got robbed in a sense. Thanks for the insightful video, much appreciated.

Thank you so much for this particular video Kris. I've come to see what an A grade people pleaser I've become, the target for at least 4 major narcissists in my 63 years of life. Recently I was very hurt by the behaviour of a dear friend but could not bring myself to tackle sharing the truth with her as I believed it would have ruined our long term relationship. My understanding of biblical principles needs a huge and immediate overhaul, as I think I've had a lot of wrong teaching on how a Christian should act in life. The realisation is totally overwhelming, but I can't keep suffering daily when I see now what I myself am allowing. God bless you and your ministry! ❤

Is their approval greater than the approval of God? Most of these people are users. God’s people are not users; they lean on The Lord and accept His Word, His guidance and all that He freely gives, including trials. I had to learn this through a bitter trial where God showed me not only that my birth family are users but also evil. If I went into it, your stomach would turn. Their betrayal no longer hurts because of knowing WHO they are - it hurts now because I know HOW they are and pray God will allow them repentance.

The solution is to give people what they deserve. In proverb 3:27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. We set boundaries by rewarding good behavior instead of bad behavior.

1) I never say 'yes' out of guilt. I'm not obligated to help anyone. I've never needed anyone's approval. 2) I have no problem with confrontation; if I can't or don't want to do something, I'm NOT going to do it. I'm definitely a peacemaker. 3) I apologize more than I should, but I always know why I'm apologizing, or saying I'm sorry. I generally don't care if anyone's happy with me, or not. I also don't take the blame. 4) LOL... definitely not a go with the flow type of person. I don't mind getting out and doing things with others, but I'm not going to let anyone push me in the direction they want to go. I am self-sacrificing, but not to my own detriment. Let me serve God. 5) I have tolerated toxic behavior, but only so far. I don't feel like anything's my fault unless it really is my fault.

A very informative video! Yes, we can give grace to others. However, being taught that you must always extend the grace and love that Jesus does can go too far and be damaging to us. This kept me in situations and in 'friendships' that I really did not have to tolerate. It's in the past now!

I'm so happy that you're understanding and have a great understanding attitude. Knowing I'm a Christian Lady and yes I have overcome this situation once before I could get thru this situation again. Although they call me the worst names once I wake up . Instead of prayers, and you are so right stop begging them to stop. It seems as tho, no matter how many times I have asked I went believing it's gotten worse. Except knowing that I did nothing wrong, and knowing this is not a soapapra knowing the difference and being warned about what they are trying to do is making me crazy. Yet calling this help! Thank God Bless & You sister for your encouragement hopefully we could get better soon with love and support ❤️

If people truly understood scripture & not be confused we’d all genuinely get alone but we’re not in a perfect world so you either start having courage in not being liked or lose manipulators/narcissistic people or continue being used at their disposal, walking around bitter, resentful, weak & afraid of not having “friends”. The sooner you can love yourself the way God does you’ll be much happier! I’m learning this & blocking out those whose words don’t match their actions or faces haha 😂. Be wise y’all don’t live like a doormat because you’re not one. Pray & hope everyone can figure it out!

But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if anyone would sue you and take your tunic,[h] let him have your cloak as well. 41 And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. 42 Give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet only your brothers,[i] what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? 48 You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Isn't it a lot more likely that religion is just a con game invented to enslave weak and stupid people?

They reply, "I know that this book is accurate and perfect, because it says so in the book." Your friend insists that the book is information from an expert, the best map authority who ever lived.....but some other people wrote the book, based on their interpretation of the map expert.....but that is okay, because of how passionately they shout about their version of the maps, and how strongly it makes your friend feel. When you show them hundreds of self contradictions in the book, they get upset and say that you are just not reading the book correctly. Which person is messed up? You, or the book fanatic? How do you justify cherry picking which parts of the bible to follow? Leviticus much? Perhaps because you know that your principles are utterly impractical, that altruism is literally suicidal? Why treat humans like a donkey in need of the stick of hell and the carrot of heaven? Why treat humans like a donkey in need of the stick of hell and the carrot of heaven?

I agree with this 100% but how do you stand up for yourself when literally everything in society is bent towards your submission? Employers are getting more and more demanding and they know they can because most of the time it’s impossible to say no to them because they can always find someone else and part of the reason that so many companies today are willing to go short staffed rather than pay their employees and tarty them with respect and if you rock the boat you get fired. If you’re not willing to put in 60 hours/week or come in whenever they want you to then you will either be fired or lose any chance of promotion or they’ll just kill your career. Sure you can always get another job but it’s going to be the same at the next one and that’s just one example of how society has become so overwhelmingly demanding to the point where if I stood my ground every time someone tries to manipulate me I’d be homeless and without friends or family and that’s actually what’s happened to me several times now. This is why marriages are failing and men are avoiding marriage because women manipulate and try to control them and then just leave when the guy gives up and starts capitulating and with most women once again, at the end of the day you have NO other choice but just don’t go there and all of this has a way of working into even the healthiest Christian relationships these days. It’s SUPER scary! I’m a pretty self aware person but I’m constantly having to walk on egg shells with people and I’ve changed churches, changed groups of friends so many times that it’s just impossible to live. Most people have become slaves so they don’t know anything else but control and manipulation and trust me.. I make my stand when the Lord tells me to but it always costs me greatly and once you’re down it’s REALLY hard to find people that will give you the genuine respect you deserve. No one cares if you’re homeless or out of job. They just treat you like it’s your fault and say do better! Even when someone does try to help it always comes with a set of demands that you have to capitulate to in order to receive their help. I hate to say it but that’s where we’re at in society and it’s really sad. I’m totally willing to stand up for myself but I have to deal with so much on a daily basis that it’s impossible for me to even discern what’s right and I constantly find myself in a situation where I’m some level I’m forced to capitulate to people. As our economy gets more and more unstable there are fewer and fewer options for people and the manipulation oftentimes starts off with little things and it gets really hard having to uproot your entire life the moment you finally speak up. I was homeless about a year ago and the recovery from that has just been major battles every step of the way and the moment I start to feel comfortable in my own skin someone or something comes along and forces me to make a choice of lose everything or capitulate and I’m getting just horribly worn out from it all

Since my wife got caught lying on the day she cost me my life, she lied to my pastor when she said she's not gonna divorce me and refused to confess and get counseling, and she violated the scripture from Mark 10:12 by marrying a baldy from Grandview and raises 5 boys to turn them into liars. So yes, she used me, my relatives and my pastor to make a luxury of herself like a thief. Hope Karma gets to my ex wife and her blaming mother.

Lending money- Luke 6: But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Driving for your sister with no favour in return- Matthew 5:41 Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. I understand what you mean about saying yes out of guilt or avoid confrontation etc, but if that’s in your mindset then you need to get closer to the Holy Spirit to have God’s divine love for others and not be unequally yoked. So that you may genuinely do these things from your heart TO God , not to people, to God. Col3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men This really brings the character of humility in your lives. Again, don’t hear what I’m not saying, I know about feeling like a doormat, but that just means your equally yoking yourself to them, when you should only be yoking yourself to the Lord and using them to build your character of long suffering / humility etc. God calls us out the world to be light and salts of the earth, but what if the salt loses its flavour? Matthew 5:13 You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. If you losing the flavour of the Holy Spirit in your spirit, then ofcourse you wouldn’t be able to follow these commands as they need a heart inflamed with God’s love and wisdom. Remember, be separate, do not be unequally yoked or you will find yourself judging , getting angry etc, but be in fellowship with God and Holy Spirit and this will build your character.

@mysterytruth7271
@mysterytruth7271 8 месяцев назад
@@memoirsofanolivetree3339 I never said Jesus doesn’t condone sin? I only said by the teachings of Jesus that we are supposed to do good. Luke6:33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. 36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. This is impossible to do without the Holy Spirit work in your life. Without the Holy Spirit then you will be a doormat because it won’t be in your character. But with Holy Spirit, Divine love, you can do this and this will actually build your character as strong. If the salt loses its flavour how shall it be seasoned? It would be good for nothing but to be trampled underfoot by men (doormat). That’s why Jesus is saying to abide in Him, abide in the true vine, which will bear fruit. But your also right. There’s a time to stand up for truth, and by simply not comprising the truth, you can cause division. Jesus even came to bring division Luke 12:51 Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division. 52 For from now on five in one house will be divided: three against two, and two against three. 53 Father will be divided against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.” But we need to accept all Jesus teachings. Jesus did teach to do good, go the extra mile, lend hoping for nothing in return etc because that’s the character you should have by the Holy Spirit, when we have salt in ourselves. So what should we do? Make sure we have salt in ourselves by communion with God. And I agree with you. ofcourse there is times when you call out clearly wrong behaviour, or just be a person of truth and stand up for truth which will in result cause division, or if someone sins against you and you tell them your fault and they don’t listen just like Jesus said here Matthew 18:And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. And as Jesus had no pity on those who refuse the His light (Pharisees) Matthew 15:14 Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.” And this was in regards to a brother. To treat a brother like a heathen or tax collector is basically to pay no attention to them.. There is discernment to be used, because at the end of the day, every human is a narcissist.. we are all selfish and self centred unless we are born again by Holy Spirit. Look back before you were saved, and you will realise the many sins and narcissistic behaviour you had. Personally, I was fit more along the lines of a sociopath if you want to put a label on it and sociooaths are completely self centred. Even a people pleaser is self centred. When we stop focusing on Christ, and looking to Christ, we will fall back into sinful behaviour. But in another one of Kris’ video , there’s some ‘narcissists’ which you just have to cut of, go no contact etc and some ‘narcissists’ that can actually respect boundaries … we should use discernment I don’t even like using that term narcissist’ because it’s labelling people. We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against rulers, principalities etc. A real ‘narcissist’ will have a jezebel spirit working in them, that you should not tolerate at all. I personally left my family, I live in my car, this Jezebel spirit can work in my parents. Like they really believe they have good intentions but their mind is fixed on this temporal world, like when Jesus rebuked Peter, he said ‘get behind me Satan’ Matt16:23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” . I even left a church I was in because of this jezebel spirit and found a Holy Spirit centred church. A Jezebel spirit is manipulative, highly psychologically intelligent, you can’t give it ANY attention or it will gaslight, manipulate, make you question your reality… that’s your fault for tolerating the spirit, Jesus said DONT tolerate that spirit. Jesus said He came to bring division. So be seperate, don’t be unequally yoked, focus on your purpose which is in union with God, and be the light, be the influence, in truth and love, in sincerity to the Lord.
@mysterytruth7271
@mysterytruth7271 8 месяцев назад
@@pegc9889 exactly. We are the ones that enable that. If we cling to God. Abide in His Word. And never be unequally yoked with them.. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? Then you will be a light. People need God’s love. And if you yoking yourself, being just like one of them, not abiding in God or having salt in yourselves (the Holy Spirit), then people are will be lost and you won’t be any different, and you can hurt both yourself and the people around you. This is an ongoing war. We must be like David. Psalms 4:2-5 How long, O you sons of men, Will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. So there will be sometimes when you will feel in some sense used or abused, ‘turn my glory to shame’ but simply cling to God, He hears us, and yes be angry , but don’t sin, don’t judge, You can have righteous anger, a good anger isn’t a sin, it’s protecting your heart and your peace,… also your angry at sin , evil, and you can even be angry and be grieved by peoples hardness of heart as Jesus.. Mark3: 4 Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. 5 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. Psalm 12:12 Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men. 2 They speak idly everyone with his neighbor; With flattering lips and a double heart they speak. We need God’s help. It’s hard, it’s humbling, but God gives grace to the humble. And we need to ask God for discernment aswell. Psalm 57: 2 I will cry out to God Most High, To God who performs all things for me. 3 He shall send from heaven and save me; He reproaches the one who [b]would swallow me up. Selah God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.4My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men Who are set on fire, Whose teeth are spears and arrows, And their tongue a sharp sword. 5 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth David always depended on God and we should to. We definitely aren’t like Jesus who can get nailed on a cross, spit upon , and yet love and ask the Father to forgive them because they don’t know what they are doing. But we should strive by God’s grace to be like Him. Because you know what? We sinned against God, we reject Him, we do our own thing, but Jesus the good shepherd loved us, seeks us, and died for us even while we were His enemies. And if God forgave us our sins which is His unmerited grace, we should also forgive others. John 13:13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. 16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. Mark 9:35 And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

Matthew 18:21 Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven. 23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. 24 And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. 25 But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made. 26 The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ 27 Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. 28 “But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, ‘Pay me what you owe!’ 29 So his fellow servant fell down [e]at his feet and begged him, saying, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you [f]all.’ 30 And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. 31 So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done. 32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him. 35 “So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses

Exodus 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people. Psalms 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. Not to mention believers just look at the testimony in it it ties into what is written in Psalms 103:10 for God to repent of doing evil unto us that right there is to do what is spoken in these words in Psalms 103:10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. To not deal with us after our sins nor reward us according to our iniquities that right there is to not do evil unto us right there. Its like the words of John Dye's Andrew the angel of death of the tv show Touched By An Angel to the man named James Block He doesn't give us what we deserve. That's why its called Grace and God will always give us Grace when we need it the most.

I've been listening to a lot of your videos and find some of it helpful but have a question. I've not seen you address these verses which seem to say "You must be a doormat." Am I missing something? Matthew 5 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

people pleasers martyrize who are quite "careless" with toxic people in confrontation ; then they,the people pleaser end up voluntarily generating displeasing situations putting who they can to serve them, going to the other extreme just to feel power of a sort. Some toxic people use people pleasing as a strategy to trap empaths. I seem too patient at times but it all sums up against them and if unrepented,well, burn bridges they built usually a dam they built to bridge 🌉 themselves into your life
