This video will go through the 5 steps for making intuitive art (according to Michelle Baker, MA, Creatrix of Art as a Soul Language and owner of MBodied Art Studio).
Intuitive art is a mindful art experience that will bring you into the present moment, help you connect with yourself and then express how you feel onto a canvas or a piece of paper.
The 5 steps of intuitive painting are:
1) Let go
Let go of the end result or what you think art is supposed to be about. Let go of needing it to be any certain way.
2) Feel & Follow
Fell how you feel in this moment, put that down with a mark and a color and then follow where that wants to take you. Transcend the mind and follow your inner knowing.
3) Respond to Yourself & the Canvas
You are in relationship to your colors and the canvas or paper so go back and forth between what feels good to you and what the image wants to be.
4) Trust Yourself
Trust that the color you chose is the "right color" whatever that means. Trust that you can make drips all over and it's gonna be great. Whatever you make is taking you the exact place you need to go.
5) Decide Where To Go Now
Maybe you're done and it's exactly what needed to happen. Or you SEE something and now you follow that into a more. formed image. Trust yourself here too! Be done or follow it further, it's the right answer for you :)
