The 1st question to ask is: where your intention is coming from.
Intuitive art is NOT about making art that looks like a photo or reference.
It's a meditative, mindfulness practice of connecting in with yourself and expressing that out onto a canvas or piece of paper.
You choose your colors and the marks based on how you feel without there being an end goal in mind.
People usually think art has the goal of making it look pretty. But intuitive art is about making something that resonates with how you feel.
You make art that is beautiful to you in this moment. Resonance is beautiful. If you are stuck and lost or grieving and you intuitively express that onto a canvas, it's going to FEEL really good (even if it doesn't look pretty). And doing that MOVES the energy out of you, which is part of the transformational powers in intuitive art-making.
It's a mindfulness, meditative practice of taking what's inside of you and putting it out onto a canvas without being attached to what it looks like.
