It's disappointing that new squads often steal from older squads and reduce their viability. For example, if you have a full DTMG squad on defense, then Gidme is no longer an option and your Iden squad is considerably weaker without Scout, Storm, and Death Trooper.
Regarding the CLS-SK counter, I think you might be missing why it works half the time. In my experience, it all depends on the opening move or two. If you can kill Palps, SK is essentially blocked from getting his ult. The times that I failed were when I couldn’t kill Palps in the opening move or two.
Thanks for the vid - I definitely learned something. I'll have to try that Phoenix+PreTaunt counter to Third Sister some time. When Capt. Rex had his level 9 datacron, I was using an all-Phoenix counter vs Third Sister which worked really well, but when the cron rotated out, the squad failed every time and I didn't know why. I didn't take the time to look into the details and thought it was only countering because of the datacron.
I'm like 90% sure that you can now beat SK team with GG if you have STAP with the omicron. I got to test it twice before the datacron came and it worked perfectly. Also, Stap can now be farmed in cantina. Hope that helps!
I like BB8 instead of Nute for my GG SK counter. BB8 will start nearly your whole squad ahead of SKs, you can get rolling way before they do, and if youre lucky kill mara before she even gets a turn. I don't really use BB8 anywhere else right now, and it saves me Nute to play with trench.
Regarding sk my gg has failed me one too many times so I resorted to using reva for an easy win if I don’t desperately need her elsewhere. For reva herself malgus works for me. For mm wampa is still my main counter as I don’t have a good iden, otherwise normal ep (without sk) usually also does the job. For traya I actually find a mirror to be the best shot in most cases if I can’t use a gl as then you can isolate savage and target whoever you want with nihilus while their nihilus chooses at random.
Something really worth mentioning - I am currently 8/0 in wins for Wampa Vs. Palp/MJ/SK. It may seem counterintuitive, but with 2x health sets with Health arrow and 1x tenacity w/ Tenacity cross, it'll kill them everytime. The counter DOT's kill them off. Just never hit SK unless it'll kill him, roar otherwise. In 5v5, it falls apart if Old Ben is on the squad (oddly enough).

I like that Trooper team for SK! With DTMG and Iden in the game I only have those four troopers left to make a Veers team, so often times I’m not using Veers at all. This is a great option provided I don’t need Wat to go with SLKR or SEE.

CLS vs starkiller data is skewed because of doubt atm, and in general depends on datacrons. If i have a good cron ill gun down mara while palp is usually the safer option and better for clean up
That one is so tough because DCs heavily influence it so much. If you play around with the data the counter falls a universal 20% just by turning on ANY DC for Rey.
2 issues with those Phoenix squads against the Inqs; #1, those are the wrong squad comps for the counter. #2, doubt cron kills the success of that squad to counter it.
@@CalvinAwesome Still nope. Very creative, but not what I use. However, using Phoenix while the doubt cron is active is pretty much a moot point unless you run into an Inq squad that doesn't have Reva.
Yeah I don't know - looking at your suggestions, they seem either extremely expensive or requires you to have like multiple of one unit because how utility they are. I have no idea how you're getting that 50% on Wampa, against that team, the only way Wampa would lose is extremely high relics (relic 7) on Kyle (and this is me, with a relic 3 Wampa), otherwise no shot you lose it.
Wampa was assuming minimum R3 on both sides. If you continue to raise the relic level equally it stays about the same. If you're looking at R7 wampa vs R3 MM team then it goes up to 68% though I feel the suggestions are pretty on par with the original counter. We're not dipping into conquest units or anything crazy. maybe the occasional double team, but I'd rather burn 2 teams and kill the team then lose half the time.
@@CalvinAwesome Yeah, but the MM for example, I feel like those that fair that counter just have very bad mods on their Wampas (very low speed and health) thinking it'll do the trick. That 50-60% feels cheated.
I'm not sure what to tell you, it can "feel" cheated but it's 30k battles of data. If you consistently have better mods than the majority of people your counters in general will work better.
@@CalvinAwesome Yeah, that's what I mean. The score feels cheated because clearly it's inaccurate based on the efficiency of the counter, which doesn't include the player's mods. If we added an ideal say 80% or higher modscore for Wampa on those results, I bet you it'd have 96% winrate.
I’ve lost a battle with my r5 Wampa with pretty decent mods to a similar MM team that had HRS and Cara at only g12. It’s definitely very possible to lose, and Iden really is a good counter. 1 zeta + 1 omi and I was able to consistent take out pretty much any MM comp with g12 storm death snow magma and pre-kyro Iden. I do think crex might shut that down, I’ve had some crex battles that take a while with my r5 Iden now, but that’s a pretty expensive MM team to box out a team that you’ve invested 0 kyro into
the chirpa omicron looks bad in hindsignt, but a lot of people have it because it was one of the first omicrons that dropped, plus lots of people in the lower GAC tiers that don't have GLs and meta end-game teams still use ewoks on defense.
