😂😂😂 the cash system does not work for everyone. I think what helps me is that it works as a physical budget and carrying only the envelope I need helps as well. But if you have the cash just in your wallet not clearly allocated in a category it is easy to use it frivolously.

This is so good, I'm not one to utilise cash staffing method at all but the concept is superb - it's similar to how I manage spending on my credit card weekly but this requires good discipline. I like that you pointed out that operating from a point of financial abundance doesn't mean lots of money -very important to note because there are people who earn lots yet still live paycheck to paycheck! 😅tricky this thing

I've always seemed to manage money better when I have it in cash, and I always feel more abundant when I have cash. I love how you mentioned the healing your relationship with money part. @Jenn Thank you for sharing,my budget is ready. I just want to pay off my bigger debt then we are ready to go. I feel like this is going to give me full control of my finances. I'm thinking of giving my son his pocket money for the whole month so that he will understand finances and be responsible.
If your son is old enough to understand responsibility then definitely you should give him for the entire month and be ready for it to finish before and to be firm in educating him on what happens when you finish your money before end of the month. That in life no one is here to bail us out of our financial mishaps. If he is still younger, maybe divide it to 2weeks.

I relate so much to your story, I wasn't aware that I have such a weird relationship with money, poverty made me like this. I am always anxious about money, I never want to live like that anymore and I never wanna run out. Please share how you got over that😢? How did you heal your relationship with money?
I am still working on this myself, its hard to heal this part. What got me started in my healing journey was by understanding money and how to manage it. Now that we know how to make it through working, I needed to learn how to keep it.

No one besides yourself can tell you that. You must look at your current living expenses per month. The ones you need to pay for in order to live a decent life, add them together. The total you get there is how much you need for each month then multiply that by 3 or 6= that is how much you will need as an emergency fund.
