Crazy i bought x3 m40 for my wife not knowing what i bought coming from acura rdx and wow now she dont drive it lol i have stage 2 plus tune setup for next week cant wait. I bought it and she walked away from me in wrx sti when we got home i was like wtf. then did my research and happy i got lucky. 2018 found with 35k for 36k ive put 8k on it in 8 months weekend warrior sit all week come out to play friday to sunday. I have a 2018 X3 M40I I have the Carbahn Tune. She only has 62,000 Miles. In terms of the mirrors I just flip them in when I go through and turn off auto hold and it seems to do the trick.
I turn them in every time and they mirrors still get caught. I think it just grabs onto the point that the M style caps have. Maybe one day the wash will break them and give me an excuse to get carbon fiber ones 🤷🏻♂️😂
I have 110k and almost no issues at all. It’s been perfectly reliable. The only issue I’ve ever had was my heated seat had some issues staying on, but that’s it.
If you’re wanting to tune the car, I’d go with a 2018 or 2019. I believe starting in 2020 they locked the ECU, and in order to tune it you have to send your ECU off to Europe and pay $3k to unlock it.
@@ZachEgbert Wow, I'm so glad I found this out. I was almost gonna get a 2021 X3 M40i this week. Turns out any BMW produced 07/2020 and later has that ECU lock. I want to tune one down the line. Thanks for saying that. You just saved me from making a big mistake.
