This video is solely for incoming freshman and transfer students! i just want to be able to spread knowledge to things that are often not talked about when attending Howard University!
My daughter is a Sr at Howard from Atlanta also . She loves Howard so much. I always ask her do you wish you would have went to another school? She says nope! So proud of her she has really grown into a very confident young lady so proud of her.
Very informative, and thats good you are holding your self accountable best to break the habit now so your not making that smacking lips sound when your in the professional sector.
Love your video! I also wanted to go to FAMU but like you said, I just got steered in a different direction. But anyways my major is switched from yours with Psychology as my minor😭 I just wanted to ask you how classes are going for you and how are the teachers? One of the main things I’m worried about is the support system and the workload bc I don’t wanna get overly stressed and just give up
Your freshman and sophomore years are your easiest years of college in my opinion. It wasn’t until this past semester that the workload picked up. My advice to you is to stay grounded and to remember what you came to school for! As for a support system it is lovely to have friends and family by your side to encourage you but if you don’t have that be your own cheerleader! It all starts from within!
I wanna go to howard SO bad but I'm scared bc I don't fit into the typical black girl stereotype. I have different interest and a lot of people say I don't talk/sound black and it makes me feel insecure because I can't change/control the way I talk😭 I wanna go to howard but idk if i would fit in. You get what I mean or do I just sound crazy
My best advice for this is to be your authentic self💯 I went into detail with that in my most recent Howard video. When you be yourself you will come in contact with 1 or more people who have the same interests as you!
hiii I’m a sophomore in hs just exploring my options I’m gonna get my gpa fully up by senior year it’s a 3.2 rn. But what were ur stats getting into hu?
That’s still s good way to get in! Because your GPA can allow you to be qualified for many scholarships and grants but i would add at least community service hours and maybe 2 clubs to your resume just so you can be a little bit more up there in the application pool.
you still might get in. I got in and the only extra curricular I did was speech and debate, and did some community service. But, I took all IB classes and 3 college courses so if you don't do a lot of sports/clubs, you need to have really good grades and try to take IB, AP, or dual enrollment classes if you can.
there have been videos abt how there was mold etc in the dorms and i haven't been able to find any videos abt if the situation had changed in 2023. have there been any improvements?
