Nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to give to the point of financial ruin, nor does it tell us to give for the upkeep of a church building. Looking at the Biblical model of the church in the New Testament the church was and is the people (those who believe) and they gave money to those church members who had a need. Please be careful when telling people to do something that is NOT supported in scripture. If someone literally does not have a way to give financially, God does not expect them to give what they do not have. And to suggest that if we do not give in times of lack then we will not give in times of plenty is also not supported in scripture. We are called to be wise stewards of what God has given us. That does not mean giving what we do not have ie going into debt in order to "tithe".

I just have some thoughts and some my personal convictions I'd like to share mainly on two aspects Sabbath and giving. For the Sabbath... I totally agree with keeping the Sabbath!! And you're right not a lot of Christians keep or practice Sabbath. But intentionally taking time of to rest from work and spend time with God makes such a huge difference! I personally do believe that the Sabbath is a specific day though, which is the 7th day or Saturday...seeing that the week starts on Sunday but that's my understanding based on the Bible. (Genesis 2:2-3). I also choose to fellowship with other believers on that day. Then on giving... Giving is such an important part of walk with God. Like you explained it doesn't determine our salvation. I do believe in giving tithe (10%) and then giving offering. My understanding is that offering can be whatever amount The Spirit leads you to give while tithe is a fixed amount (Malachi 3:10). There are times when the Holy Spirit may lead you to give everything like the story of the poor widow in the Bible. Which is why I believe offering is not a fixed amount.. For example if you make 100 dollars you can give tithe of 10 dollars and offering of how ever much you're led to give...could be 5, 10, 20, 30 etc. Yepp. These are just my thoughts. I just recently started implementing a sabbath day into my life, and I’ve loved it!! Going against hustle culture and embracing rest that the Lord gives us!! One thing to point out though is sabbath isn’t mandatory and I’m not sure it is a sin to not participate in sabbath. Sabbath was originally for the Jews, the same as not sacrificing animals for our sins anymore, because of Christs sacrifice for us we have freedom from rules and regulations that were implemented in the Old Testament. Maybe I am misunderstanding your point on this but just wanted to point that out! Love your videos:))
not mandatory as a means to salvation but mandatory in the sense that God does command it in both the old and new testament and Jesus took Sabbaths! of course it's never good to treat it as a works based thing the way the Pharisees did but instead a gift from God that we get to enjoy. Kind of like how reading your Bible isn't "mandatory" but it is a command and you should want to as a believer. Hope that makes sense!

The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord.” Romans 14:5-6 Regularly resting from work should be done and honors the Lord, but can look many different ways. The traditional sabbath day isn’t required under the new covenant, but if it is a personal conviction then it is great to practice! Just not required for all believers. 😊 “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” 2 Corinthians 9:7 Giving can also look so different for everyone and changes throughout your life. There may be times where you can only give less than the 10% that isn’t even required, and maybe there are times you need to take a step back from giving to be able to come back to a place of giving cheerfully. Thankfully these topics are not salvation issues and are covered in God’s abounding grace! I understand your intentions, but just hope people who have been preached guilt over grace their whole lives like me do not take things the wrong way.
