Something quick I wanted to add to this is DO NOT escalate a situation EVER. It will only make things worse for everybody involved, and will likely get you kicked out or banned. If you have an issue with someone or someone has an issue with you, talk to them privately, and if you cant work it out between you, talk to a ref to figure out what to do. Don't go around full autoing people because you're angry at them, thats how you get into fights and get banned. Remember, everyone is there to have a good time and have fun, and the refs are there not only to make sure everyone stays safe, but enforce the rules and ensure that everyone has a good time. Just be respectful to your fellow players and ensure that you arent the one causing any problems, and if a problem arises, be calm and mindful of what you're doing so you dont just make things worse.
Yeah I agree I've been banned before because I DSG'ed a kid in the back with my custom m4, because he wasn't calling his hits, he then started crying ref said why did I full auto him, I said he wasn't calling his hits and I got banned, learnt my lesson. He was around 16 mind you. But wasn't the proper way to go about things. Felt good though
max power it is a real video, o guess the guy was part of a team where his grandma made the patches, and she died a few days before that game, later a group of Punks took it and burned ir
I got another good one: Don't wear clothing that's really thick because you're scared of bbs. First of all if you just wear like maybe a hoodie you will get used togetting hit faster - > it'll hurt less over time Also situations where you're not sure wether you're hit or not will happen less often Also most importantly: if you wear stuff that's too thick you're gonna overheat and sweat and maybe, just maybe have a heat stroke (happened at my local field some tine ago)
That one of the things I really want to do, every field is like 1 1/2 hr. away from me, I know if I had the opportunity to open one close to me it would do really good, there are alot of players who have to drive that distance to play. Just need investor's.
0:35 when dealing with right handed corners, try not to switch the entire weapon to your left hand, keep it in your right hand while simply switching only the butt stock to your left shoulder, its called 'bumping' and it's easier, quicker and you expose less of your body.
A tip I would give is be courteous and remember it’s a game. We are all playing a game and it’s ok to be frustrated. Don’t let that frustration ruin your fun.
It amazing how I've played airsoft in my backyard for nearly 10 years and I've never worn eyepro. Never been shot in the eye until maybe 2 years ago when a lucky shot got me in the sclera. Fortunately it just kind of temporarily bruised my eye. I got eye protection next day rush shipped.
Even though I'm not new (been playing for like 12 years), I like watching these vids. I've gotten my niece (16) into the sport and am getting my nephew (12) into it. I keep drilling into them that even though it's a game, I drill the fifth, second and first tip into them like crazy. I don't want them getting injured (I mean, if they fall, hell, that's outdoors for ya) but I don't want them to act dumb and brandish the gun or losing an eye.
If you're collecting, look for the more rare guns out there. Make sure you ask/do research about the guns you want to purchase as well. Some shops will give you bad information just to get a sale.
Meh; depends on the distance. When I run indoors, I use it, but when outdoors, the engagements are so far that the BBs won't damage the optic, and it's easier to see. It's easy enough to flip up if I have to transition from outdoors to indoors, or vice-versa.
This reminded me of one of my first games where the ref was telling us to wear eye protection all the time on the field then talked about something else and accidentally shot his pistol over someones head in the safe zone where nobody had eye protection on.
I make a habit of keeping my eye pro on even in the safety and staging area at my field, since mags are either loaded or being put in just before the game starts. While a BB coming from a hicap mag isn't flying at 300+ fps, I like having 20/20 vision. It's something I recommend as a safety precaution - mistakes happen, don't let it happen to you (and yeah, that's a dig at hicap users). Familiarize yourself with your gear. Get used to the way it feels, how it handles. Practice shouldering, aiming, and flipping the safety (goes without saying). Ask for help. Most (unfortunately, not all) players are willing to help you when it comes to the game. My team and I find 2-3 new players each time we go out and offer to mentor them for the day (or until they're ready to set off on their own). While I don't agree with the mental gymnastics of "no new players means dead sport", that's no excuse to be an asshole.
I mean, it DOES mean the sport is dead, as no new players join, no company would want to make airsoft guns, and as such even less players would want to /even could get into it. Ammo, mags, and gas would be the only things that would sell. With a gun once a month or so.
I like how I totally skipped rent before you buy as a new player. I tried Airsoft with a springer my cousins step brother brought hunting and we played with em and then on Christmas I just asked for em and got em. Next day I go Evike and get a vest, mask, gloves, and the main essentials.
I’d say to newer players and still intermediate depending on their mind, ALWAYS RESEARCH BEFORE YOU BUY! My friend bought an MP5 and battery, but no charger since he thought his other charger will work, but he ended up breaking his battery and now he needs to buy a whole new battery just cause he did not research his battery. Please research and make sure what you buy is completely for you and will work. Reliability and performance is much better than looks.
He was brand new to airsoft and it’s still an extra $30. We just play for fun since we don’t have the money for all of the Mil-Sim gear, so we just run sweatshirts.
As someone who refs and staffs woodsball, I agree with all of this!! Also, please don't argue with the refs, who possibly (and probably) have more experience than you. Also, please have fun, that's what paintball and airsoft are for!!!
Just played my first airsoft game in 6 years. New gun, same old crust gear(hoodie and a cheap vest from walmart). I had a blast forgot how much fun it really was. These are great tips and if you are looking to start airsoft, just give it a try. I'm positive you will love it.
Honestly, even for people that have played for a long time, these are a great refresher for something that players might overlook just because it hasn't bothered them personally yet.
9:10 I was entering into an ongoing match at WAR GAMES (Airsoft Revolution 15, San Antonio); ~75 acres of southern Texas woodlands. I was nowhere near the action and just walking from the gear zone. I felt a slight knock on the top of my helmet and instinctively called "HIT;" knowing that there are snipers in these woods. After sitting there with my red dead rag out for what felt like eternity, it dawned on me that an acorn had fallen and hit me on top of my head. I walked the saddest "return to spawn" walk of shame ever. 10/10 call your hits lol
Additional rule: Don't underestimate style. If you be all flashy and iconic you could become your team's unofficial mascot and people might hesitate to shoot you.
Another thing I will add as we get into summer is to keep an eye on other players if they look like they need help. Last year at D14 I noticed someone who was sitting down leaning up against a building and not moving at all. Thankfully and admin was nearby and I got his attention before we went over to check on him and make sure he was alright.
The reason why I quit airsoft is the place I go to had a decision that they should have a game of free for all with full auto and the place I went To was trash
I tried this for the first time last week. For some reason there was a spot in the game where if you were hit three times you had to retreat towards. Unfortunately, something I somehow missed was once you were there you weren’t allowed to shoot anymore. So I was shooting off at one of the Refs who were playing on the opposite team. This sequence of events unfolds as follows: Ref: “Hit, I’m hi- woah hey! Hey! You can’t shoot right there man! Yes, you in the blue scarf, you’re dead, stop shooting.” Me: “Uhm, sorry!” Definitely goes along with paying attention. Still can’t believe I missed that part. Needless to say, I’m gonna be listening with a sharper ear next time. Oh man this comment is unnecessarily long. Props to you if you read all of this.
I have a similar one in my first time, in my field there are towers that can climb to get a higher sniping spot, in enemy players are at the lower floor the top is dead since we have ladders and shooting on ladders is dangerous
7:20 dude whenever I go to my local Airsoft store I ask them ant least 20 questions and the guy there is always there to help me. I really like and appreciate that!!
I’ve been playing air soft for about 5 months now and it’s pretty fun but when you first start and can get a little confusing. But once you figure it out it’s really fun.
@@USAirsoft I didn't realise you got a free membership with RU-vid Premium so of course I put it on your channel. Highest quality Airsoft content out there! :)
I'm 13 years old about to be 14 and I want to start playing Airsoft this video really helped me I love watching your videos and it's because of your videos I want to start playing Airsoft thanks for the hard work
I'm still new to the game and I just bought my first aeg rifle and it didn't work after the first 20 minutes a experienced player came to help me the problem was a stuck bb without him I could have never fixed it so thanks to helpful veterans💙
Just rented a gun and played at my local field with a guy I met on RU-vid ( he actually got on one of your videos for his battlefield one bayonet charge) and I loved it. Gonna buy some gear soon
Ok I had a question: I have already played a day of airsoft but the entire time I struggled to get out of the back of the field without getting shot (pretty sure the field was overcrowded) any recommendations
Scan slowly when coming around any corners to make sure you dont see enemy players, if none, move up. If you see an enemy player, wait for them to show a part of their body and shoot his ass.
2:07 I met Levi once at High Ground Airsoft in Spring, TX! He’s a nice dude! These are some really solid tips! I wish I lived closer to a field here in south Texas. My closest field is probably High Ground, it’s about a 2 hour drive accounting for Houston traffic 😬
Nah man, acting stupid while he responsible and following the rules is one of the best things to do. Just have fun and do what you want while following any and all rules. Making references, doing stupid strats like knife only, are what makes it fun.
hey bro. thanks for the great explenation. i am going with a friend who is a semi expiriensd player in airsoft to my first game and this vid helped me with a lot of my conserns
I have play paint ball 5 times and airsoft 7 time I have help new players and always call my hit great video my guy I remember being a new player it is hard
7:18, I just went to my first airsoft game yesterday and everyone there was so chill, they told me what type of gun I should start with, and what brand of pants would be best for the field that we play at, I’m definitely going back at soon
Gonna be starting this Summer and can't wait. Only sad part is the majority of fields in Michigan are all roughly an hour and a half or more away from me. Lol love living centralized though bcz it does present options.
I just went to try Airsoft this super nice kid showed me what type of guns would be best for our arena and he let me look at his gun for a little because of this kid I’m totally going back to play
For anyone looking to get a realistically coloured gun in the uk you need a ukara license. This can be acquired by becoming a member of a certain club or ask how to get one from a field. Then on websites you input them to be available to buy one. You will be put on a data base so you don’t need to remember it at shops. The best irl shot for Airsoft is probably urban Airsoft and some of the best online are patrol base or defcom
Bonus rules; Bunny Hopping makes people miss more Equip the knife to move faster Switch to another weapon and then go back to the 1st one to skip reload animation.
kiranearitachi Nice, I have gotten all of my friends into airsoft and all of us love it and it has brought us all together closer. I’d would easily recommend it as long as you follow the rules.
Thank you for these tips I have done my research on what gear and guns I want and I have already rented and tried the game out so I think I am ready to buy gear.
