I think a more satisfying beginning to Abaddons story would have been if sigismund actually did manage to kill him in their duel and as he laid dying the chaos gods came to him and gave him a chance to strike back at sigismund, but the cost would be surrendering himself entirely to the will of the dark gods, of course in his desperation and in his rage that he had been defeated after planning his reemergence, he accepts the offer kills Sigismund with his new found power and then returns to the vengeful spirit victorious, only to find himself enslaved just as surely as his father was, that would have been much cooler than just giving him a stupid OP demon sword, It would have been interesting seeing how Abaddon dealt with the fact that in order for him to take his revenge against the imperium he had to give up what remained of himself to the gods that he had nothing but hate and mistrust for. It could also lead into some great potential stories about abaddon's quest to potentially free himself from the gods that he bound himself to in a moment of desperation so that he doesn't end up like his father, all the while still taking his vengeance against the imperium with his new found power.
Abaddon is trained as a Legionary, to fight with Legions and the huge numbers. Huron is trained as a Chapter Master, maximising results with small resources. Leads to a better mindset for tactics and strategies.
And as Argel Tal pointed put to Kharn, he doesn't want chaos to be true but he still felt it his mission to teach humanity about it. That makes his motives more interesting than [insert maniacal caccling about revenge and buhu the emperor is a dick] "We are definitly on the wrong side Kharn."
Sevatar is one of the bright lights in the madness, and even myth ruining clusterfuck, that the Horus Heresy has become. I would love a Sevatar animation or live action movie, not because Sevatar is a beast in combat, oh no. Its the witty quips that I live for, I'm British goddamn it.
What I love about Archaon is that in Fantasy he embraced his destiny to destroy the world, because it would "liberate everyone from being the puppets of Gods". Essentially, Archaon saw death and destruction as the ultimate end goal to achieve to free everyone from the Gods, both "good" and chaotic. Archaon had to overcome many challenges, AND Chaos was essentially written into his blood and fate, best of both worlds! Oh, I agree about Guilliman, one hundred percent. Lorgar is the foil to Guilliman, and he is the WEAKEST Primarch in EVER! I respect Guilliman and his Ultramarines when they are in their element, but not their misplaced arrogance and clearly suppressed envy issues.
8:17 Galbatorix is a masterclass in how to write a great villain. The guy doesn't actually appear until the end of the 4th book (the last one in the series), yet he's interesting and engaging from the moment his name is first mentioned. Paolini continuously feeds the reader little bits of info about him, so the reader is always learning more about Galbatorix, but just enough to keep their curiosity alive. Then, when Galbatorix finally appears, it's the culmination of all of this fantastic build-up, making the moment that much more exciting.
I must challenge you on your statement that gulliman is a bad fighter. Call it plot armor but he held his own for a pretty long time dueling against lorgar and daemon angron at the same time.
The boy scout deserves props for being able to slide between melee and ranged in less than a moment. Heck, can you even the the guns on the models of his loyalist brothers?
But is it fair to count Lorgar? From what I know he could be beat by a talented Space Marine. But yes defending against Angron even in his normal form is a good accomplishement and doing it while he is in deamon form and with Lorgar butting in is a pretty big accomplishement.
His probably weakest fighter amongst the loyal ones, but a primarch is still a primarch. Being the weakest also doesn’t mean that he is a pushover. That would be Lorgar.
He did, but honestly at that point it's just a writer putting themselves into a hole. When I make a statement like that I'm generalizing based off the averages that I've seen throughout the lore of their combat prowess. That's why I put Curze in the top 4 despite him losing to the Lion, because he had essentially clowned the Lion and Guilliman at the same time.
@@OldManReacts i'll conceed to that. But still the act of Gulliman standing his ground when he must of surely known he would likely die is still one of the most badass things in 40k Also thank you for recognizing the greatness of my primarch. Care to join us in the next child maiming?
huron. all the way. i wasn't a fan of any chaos till i got interested in the space sharks and researched them. He just seems like a solid, evil, general.
man huron would be one hell of a good new choice for warmaster and i jsut love th elast lines in th emaelstrom book. a warmaster have fallen before valthex it can happen again
I don’t two fucking shits how much pain chaos puts me through the dark elder literally turn people into lamps made of human flesh that are still alive no just no
replace him with any of the demon princes and the chaos legions instantly become way scarier, they currently very much feel like the weakest of the necrons and tyranids
Chances are that any marine that rises to war master of chaos would probably find Drach'nyen, so i wonder how would Argel deal with that, i mean dude hss a demon in him and wields a demon
I wish gw would give more details on the dispute of iron for honsue tbh be cool see what actualy going on with that civil war in the iron warriors or if they even officialy united anymore
Sigismund was death's champion. But a champion would never cheat to get you in the grave. Jago ''Sevetar'' Sevetarion was death made manifest. It would have you. One way or the other.
Ok why did he send nightlords against a forge world he should of got the iron warriors to use their technovirus or seige the planet then use world eaters to swarm in ones the iron warriors seiged their defences but nightlords unless u trying to use terorist tactics this wss a bad plan
Awesome video! Abaddon's a Mary Sue. In Sigismund's novel, Sevatar (the BA stud he is) didn't beat Sigismund, he snuck out a DQ head butt when Sigismund put his blade into a killing spot. I don't want to be head butted, but I would take it over being gutted. Sevatar did it because he saw his death at Sigismund's hands of he didn't get out of the duel. Anyway, Sevatar would be a great pick. Honsu sucks. His character idea is dumb. Everything he did was derivitive. Typhus. Huron. Lord Commander Eidolon, Alpharious, the Dark Cardinal Kor Phaeron, Ahriman, there are a lot. Why not an actual primarch like Pertutabo? He's Chaos undivided. Lorgar? What about whichever of the 4 is in ascent being Warmaster? Magnus, Mortarion/Typhus, Angron, Fulgrim. . . it would add a dimension to the enemy.
Nice fanfic, but Sevatar is kinda bored out if his mind that's why he cheated. He isn't afraid of sigismund, nor afraid of dying, and he indeed cheated but he just returned the favor when sigismund tried to attack him in the back prior to their duel, lol.
@@velstadtvonausterlitz2338, there's no support for that outlook, that's just leaping to your own conclusions. Sevatar could have headbutted at any time, he saw what was happening, he knew his limits, and he exited the fight on his own terms, through a DQ. He quit, on purpose because to continue would be to lose. He wasn't bored, he saw the conclusion coming. If he were "bored", he could have ceased earlier, yet he did not. He took the chicken exit because he could not maintain the intensity.
