Putting yourself first is so important. I'm 55 and it took me many years to truly understand that. The fact that you really "get it" at your age is impressive. Making sure that I'm the best version of myself allows me to be the best employee, friend, partner, to others.

The best advice I've ever gotten is that getting a relationship is not a chasing game, you have to improve yourself first, and then you attract more people. Dating in a way is a form of self-improvement

The reason I keep watching Courtney’s videos is because she strikes me as way more aware and understanding of a lot of these underlying characteristics. Money CAN be an indicator of success and high value, but what really counts is authenticity and an absolute lack of neediness. Real confidence (not performance) attracts women and strengthens relationships with men as well.

High value women: - fit, slim, and takes great consistent care of her body - peaceful and feminine energy (NOT a Feminist!!!) - open minded and interested and asks a lot of questions - humble and not vain and obsessed with her looks taking IG selfies and posting them all day - believes in adding value to the world instead of just being a taker and entitled - genuine, and authentic and non-manipulative and doesn't play games or mind games - barely wears any make up and does not have fake eye lashes, boobs, or nails. Natural beauty - low sexual partner count and respects her body as being sacred - classy and elegant (this is a super rare one in 2021) - well thought out and not just a hedonistic emotional ostrich jumping from one impulse to the next - has a few close girl friends and has great relationships with them. Doesn't hang out with tons of guys or her ex boyfriends - willing to put her phone away and be fully present during a conversation - not on tinder and all the other dating sites.

Always been a believer in putting yourself 1st and doing whatever it takes to make yourself feel happy. I recently dumped ALOT of people from my life as I started seeing them for who they really are. I always kind of knew but tried to see past things.

Evaluating myself, I'm alright with authenticity(except when I fear I might offend people), emotional intelligence, integrity & always being open to learning (but of course there's always room for improvement), I think my self love/care is the area I need to work on, as I commit too much in life and am a bit short when it comes to taking care of myself!

I think authenticity is so hard because many of us struggle to accept who we are as people; It s a long hard work to change it but I go to therapy and I think it s worth it.

I would add what I could call the basics: knows what he believes (in worldview and spiritual matters), no substance abuse, is emotionally mature for his age, spends in a responsible way, high morals, courteous, self-discipline, truthful, kind, accepting of individual differences, loyal, patience, charity, humility.

"Putting yourself first" is an American cultural trait that is passed along in conversations like this video. Consider South Vietnam culture - very different - family first instead of self first. Example: My wife has worked very hard for 11 years we have been together - only to help her sisters in VN and keeps NOTHING FOR HERSELF. This is how country (NOT CITY!) South Vietnam women are, and the mothers teach their children to be this way - passing along this wonderful cultural trait.To this day, she still gives me the asparagus tips and gives herself the stems. If you want a selfless person to be your partner in life, then look to other cultures becasue that is not taught in America.

No blaming, such as "I feel this way because of you, and you're wrong / bad". It's more like "I feel X or Y so I'm not comfortable with this or that".

The first four are good points. I totally agree with number five. You need to constantly learn something new. I read a lot, watch documentaries, take courses, and always try to learn new words. Travel to other countries also helps. This helps with developing literacy and a person's worldview. You're also able to have empathy for others.
